I had a very bad experience with a delivery from Zoli's recently. I saw decent reviews and thought I would try a new source of delivered pizza. It arrived cold and over-cooked with some burnt outer crust. It was like the pizza had been cooked (badly) and sat out a while. I received it immediately upon delivery. After trying to eat half a slice I gave up. Too salty. Left a bitterness. Worst pizza I have ever had. I called and complained and to the credit of the delivery organization they offered a refund. First, let's address the parking lot...or rather getting into the parking lot. The "powers that be" who plan road construction have torn the heck outta Midway between Spring Valley and Belt Line in Addison. Because of this, getting into that parking lot can be difficult and may cause arguments with the other person in your car about the best way to go about it. There is one way, and it's directly between Beltwood and Beltway with a big green sign that says "DRIVEWAY". But rest assured, It's worth the search! Now that you're inside with all of the fun Star Wars kitsch, you have to get one of those pizzas! We had the Lil' Troy - but added their Bacon Marmalade to the mix. Their crusty is super thin with a great chew that holds up without getting floppy. The Hubby finds something wrong with every single pizza place we've been to lately, and I think we've finally found the one where we can both agree that it'll be "our" pizza place. We stopped by after seeing Dave Portnoy's review. We are visiting from Phoenix and we had the best experience! Not only was the food amazing but the service was what stood out to us. I believe it was the manager who came over and apologized for the wait to get our pizza as it had not baked evenly and she asked them to remake it. We thanked her for the update and were not upset at all, but shortly after she dropped off some complimentary mozzarella bites. She also waved goodbye on our way out. Two five star reviews in a month? It's true. I wanted something to eat that was close to the hotel, and good. Based on the reviews, Zolis fit this ticket. But I wasn't expecting what I got... Place is easy to find, the street is surrently under construction to get here, so made it a little confusing but it was easy enough. Came in and sat at the bar. Bartender was polite, put on a hockey game for me and like most new places I asked what to get. He said the hambino. Now some people hate pineapple on pizza. That's their opinion, I however love it. This was probably the single best pizza I have had, ever. Big words I know. But dear Lord, it was amazing. The ham, the pineapple, the sauce, and the cheese all perfect. Just perfect. The real kicker was the crust. I don't eat a lot of bread so I dislike pizzas with just a copious amounts of bread. This was thin. Crispy. Perfect. For me anyway. I crushed the whole damn thing. And a side salad. Which I want to nip pick. It was a very small salad for the price and honestly do not recommend. Not my favorite salad I had, and almost dropped this to a 4 star. The pizza? BOY!!!! This place is the lick!!! Stopped in for lunch with my Han Solo on a weekday for a slice, and let me just say that this place delivers on so many levels! Zoli's NY Pizza in Addison is a beautiful representation of casual and eclectic. The outside lures you in with a fun, clean design and is equally matched inside. Original art( you can tell the owner is a HUGE Star Wars fan, thus the earlier reference) exposed brick and rich hardwood is warm and welcoming with lots of natural lighting. If you're not sure of where to start, ask your server; they do not miss with the suggestions! The menu is a great balance of Italian favorites. Salads, pizza, pasta, and sandwiches, rounded out with monthly pizza specials, an ample bar, and even a brunch on the weekend. We started off with mozzerella sticks that are handmade in house! These were the best mozzerella sticks I have ever had! Crispy and seasoned on the outside, gooey on the inside, and the cheese pull is REAL! We split a meatball sub(I KNOW! Came to a pizza spot and ordered a sandwich. Don't talk about, pray for me!) Babee!! It was spot on! Fresh baked, sesame seed roll, that was crusty on the inside and tender on the inside. Holy Zoli, I'm so foli. Wow, what a meal I just had. As I've continued to review food, I'm starting to find that I'm less of a food critic and more of a food admirer. When I heard that Chef Christian Petroni was becoming a part of the Zoli/Cane Rosso brand, I knew I had to come check it out. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. You could be like everyone else and order an appetizer as a starter or you could be different and much cooler by ordering a pizza as a starter. The square Christian Vodka pizza was one of the best, if not the best pizzas I've ever had in Texas. Usually Sicilian style pizza looks and feels heavy much like I did when I was 200lbs in 8th grade wearing husky jeans. But it wasn't, it was so light. The crust was unreal. The sesame seeds on the bottom gave it so much depth, flavor, and texture. Wow, what a crunch. Pair that with the vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella, and you're transported into a state of tranquility completely forgetting that you told your wife that you'd mop the floors today. Oops. The other pizza we devoured was the Christian Pescroni. If you haven't had jalapeño pesto, you're missing out much like I missed out on getting to wear tighter jeans growing up. But that's okay, you'll get there and when you do you'll be ever so glad. I never knew I needed it in my life until today. Next, I'll mention the roasted corn carbonara. As someone that married someone with a small percentage of Italian heritage, I was taken aback with adding roasted corn to a carbonara. But then I was brought right back in when I took my first bite. The perfect dish to eat for brunch/linner. Just something about homemade pasta that reminds you that everything's gonna be okay. Lastly, we ended with the gooey butter cake. Crunchy outside with a soft and gooey inside just like me. It tasted exactly how it feels to lay down in a temperpedic bed for the first time. I didn't want to get up. The cake had a lemon zest with raspberries and whipped cream. I almost had to stay until 5 so I could try the lasagna and then order it again, it was so good. I can't forget to mention how great the atmosphere and music was. Everything about it made you want to stay and order more food. One of my favorite pizza spots! We think we find a favorite then try something new & it becomes the new favorite. We also like that there are different crust options which makes it seem like there's an even bigger variety. The pastas & salads are amazing too! Service is good. Making a reservation has been best for us but even when we haven't had one, we seem to get seated pretty quick & still get great service. Most of all we love all the Star Wars. Who knew that a pizza place had one of the best burgers in the DFW area? Well now you know! I was told about this place so we decided to go for lunch on a Saturday. My friend recommended that we try their burger but when we saw the pizza offers we had to get one of those too. We had the Honey Bastard pizza and it was super delicious. If they sold the habanero honey I would literally buy a jar of it. All the ingredients together worked perfectly and just exploded in your mouth. The burger was incredible. It's done in a smash style but don't let that fool you, it was still full of flavor. The meat was seasoned well and the cheese was bountiful. Overall I highly recommend checking them out. It was delicious - something with Nashville style hot chicken, pickles. They had me at pickles. The photo where half the pizza is already gone, that was the pizza of the month. So good I forgot to document until after I was already eating. Good drinks, good beers. 10 out 10 recommend their zucchini fries appetizer. It's the best way to have zucchini. We came here for a birthday dinner with a few friends. Matthew, our server, went above and beyond during our time here! We had the best buffalo chicken Mac and cheese (thank you Matthew and chef), the meatball sandwich, carbonara, Brussels sprouts, zucchini fries and pizza! We ordered Zoli's for pickup and it did not disappoint! We got 3 burgers (if you haven't had a burger from Zoli's you're missing out on quite possibly the best burger you will ever eat), the brisket lasagna, and the Round CBR pizza! The star of the meal was the burger; our guests were thoroughly impressed by the burgers and the lasagna. Though the Round CBR is filled with delicious bacon and some yummy cheese, parts of the crust were extremely burnt. I will say the everything bagel season on the crust also made things extremely saltyyy (and I'm someone who loves salt). I will say I do appreciate that Zoli's has their contact information on every pizza box, and they appear to be accessible and readily available to help with any situation! I will say the first time we visited the service was amazing! We love the nugz and highly recommend them as an appetizer. I've tried their salad which is also great. And we love building our own pizza. We usually do half and half with custom toppings. We never have any problem doing that. The pizza is always delicious! The place has a great vibe with it. SPANGLER for $15 is a cheese pizza with some basic sprinkled on top. Nice and chewy enough crust. Adequate char. Sauce and cheese were both good! When I got my Spangler (Plain Cheese pizza, named after Egon... duh) with pepperoni, and sausage, and I think mushrooms, something crazy happened. You can argue that it didn't happen, but I'd take this debate. The roof disappeared, I saw the sky, and all of the clouds parted, and all I heard was "hallelujah". I try pizza in just about every state I go. I'm not going to go as far as to say that I'm a pizza expert, haven't had the opportunity to explore that yet. What I will say is simple. This place is a love letter to pizza. Everything is clearly done with making each pizza the best it can be. This is a place I'll be taking close friends to so they can enjoy the experience. But I would definitely order it again. There's only one thing you need to know about this NY White Pizza we ordered. It's the best dough and crust I have had in a real long time (maybe ever).
