My husband and I went for a ride on our Ebike and decided to stop by Zombie Taco for some lunch. My husband placed our order online and they gave him a pickup time. When the order is ready you can pick up your food at the window. You can also go inside the building and order at the kiosk and wait for your food. It took about 15 minutes until our order was ready. So I decided to go inside to check out the inside. It was really small and colorful. There are places to sit all around. After going back outside I waited with my husband for the notification that our order was ready. Once we were notified I went to the window and picked up our order. To start I ordered the Chips and Queso. The Chips were crispy and the queso was okay. We got a side of Tomatillo Verde Salsa so I mixed the two together for added flavor. For my meal I tried the 3 tacos for $13. Taco 1 was the Black Bean and Avacado Taco which comes with Beans, Lettuce, Pico, and Avacado. This taco was okay. I liked that the ingredients were fresh. Taco 2 was the Grilled Adobe BBQ Chicken Taco which comes with red jalapeno, slaw, and a crema sauce. This taco was my favorite. It had the most flavor. The chicken was tasty and the slaw added texture and flavor. Taco 3 was the Braised Brisket Taco which comes with guacamole, red onion, and a ranch dressing. This taco was good. The brisket was flavorful and I liked the taste of the red onions. The guacamole was okay. This taco was the messiest and fell apart as I ate it. My husband ordered the Zombie Burrito which comes with cheese, pico, corn, slaw, beans, and rice. He chose to add chicken to his burrito. He liked it. I tried it and it had flavor and texture from all of the combined ingredients. Overall it was a good place to stop for some tacos. Quite possibly one of the worst meals in my life and definitely the worst taco! Ordered from the kiosk at the Moxy and yes I tipped ahead - for zero service! There was one other person waiting on food yet it took 20 minutes to get my order ready which would have been fine if it was edible! The server put my order on the counter and took off - I had also ordered 2 Topo Chicos ( which they didn't have ) and a bottle of water - the guy had wandered off so there was no one to ask so I just grabbed two bottles of regular water off the shelf! As soon as I got to my room- I saw how bad this was! Despite being 'freshly prepared to order ' the taco was chilly to the touch - almost like the tortillas had been pulled right of out of the fridge and cold toppings added before the fish - that was not fully cooked and a little pink on the inside with soggy batter on the outside! It was inedible. The street corn was no better. It was served with an oil slick on the top of the container and was a smelly congealed mess that was sour and also inedible ! Trashed the entire meal in the trash - outside of my room as the corn was too strong smelling ! The person working there was apathetic, not sense of urgency or pride just going through the motions so people have to wait for his ill prepared efforts! Definitely won't return! read more

Honestly not the best place. Just like any other taco place. The tacos were full and had alot of meat. So the trio that I got will definetly fill you up. This place is in a hotel which I did not know. So if you are staying there this is a great midnight snack. But if your passing by keep going. You have to pay for parking which is 10 bucks. It's a bit of a walk. They charge for salsa if you want some. Other than tapatio small packets. The place seems like an upscale dive hotel with some retro game console and a bar as soon as you walk in. Again if you are staying there great place. I would of been super happy if I walk downstairs and see 24/7 tacos I can order with some drinks. But to see it which I have been. Stop in. What a great surprise to have this yummy taco shop in the lobby of my hotel, Moxy! I hadn't stayed at Moxy before and was pleasantly surprised to see this 24/7 meal option literally in the lobby. The prices on the menu were super affordable, so I assumed it was too good to be true, but gave it a try anyway. The only thing I ordered that I didn't quite care for was the queso, but the taco trio, chips, salsa, and guac were all SOLID. This is like some Portland hippie's fever-dream imagination of a taco. Everything about the flavor and texture profile of these tacos is. Just. Wrong. It's not a creative re-imagining of a taco, it's actually just so off-base as to be simply incorrect. The brisket tacos I just had were instantly confusingly sweet- liquid is dripping everywhere (which can be a good thing, but here just served to make *not* enjoying this taco more difficult). There's no fresh veg, no crunch of fresh onions, no notes of caramelization from anything, no acidity. And all this is wrapped up in a corn tortilla that is far too thick / rigid. You especially know it's too thick and rigid, because they only had to use one to hold this drippy brisket taco together instead of two. Zombie Taco is an excellent little taco stop! I'm staying at the Moxy and loved that this restaurant is a 24/7 amenity during our stay. We decided to give their breakfast a try and WOW! It did not disappoint! My partner and I both had the Chicken Chorizo and Egg Whites & Avocado Tacos and seriously enjoyed them both. The fresh tomatillo salsa really brought everything together! The tortillas are sturdy, great for holding all of the delicious goods inside! We are both pretty picky when it comes to tacos, so this place really impressed us. They make ordering super easy too by using a tablet, then they text you when your order is ready! Very streamline and quick. Definitely recommend Zombie Taco!! The Jalapeno Bacon was pretty good, since the bacon was had a nice texture to it and the ranch complimented with the other ingredients. The Charred Korean Steak, on the other hand, was a bit of a miss for me since I am Korean and I expected it to be spicier.
