I ordered two small Tuscan pizzas, one on cauliflower, the other on gluten free bread. I told them I needed one to be on pure cauliflower because I am diabetic and cannot have any grains. I would expect the employee to understand this statement, which is in plain English. If the pie was not true cailiflower, they should not advertise it as such and should have understood my question. They either did not, or chose to ignore it to make the sale. When I picked up the order, we reviewed the order, and I asked which pizzas was on cauliflower because they looked identical. They could not tell since the boxes were not marked as they should have been, so they had to go back and ask the "chef". He announced flippantly which one it was, and all I could do is trust what he said because they looked identical. When we got home, we did a taste test of the pizzas, and there was no difference between the two. I ate the one they labeled cauliflower because that was all I had to go on, but in spite of doing a proper carb count (based on a cauliflower pizza pie) and taking the proper insulin, my blood glucose soared to well above 400 that night. This should not have happened. One of two things is clear. Either he was lying about the one being cauliflower (neither were cauliflower or he could not tell the difference), or their "cauliflower"pie is not pure cauliflower. Either way, it speaks very poorly of this establishment given the information I provided when I ordered the pizzas. It is the next day and my blood glucose remains high due to the problem with this order. I won't be returning as a customer. UPDATE: I have since received a rude comment from the establishment blaming me for the problem, which just reconfirms my rating and opinion of this establishment, which purports to be a purveyor of wholesome foods, but is really just another pizza joint. UPDATE#2: Cassandra the owner reached out to me with a more thoughtful response and remedy, which I appreciate. I should add that apart from the glucose load from the starches in the cauliflower pizza, the pizza did actually taste good. I now have a better understanding of what I can eat at ZPizza that is diabetic friendly, and I hope the staff will be trained in this as well. I have upgraded my rating based on this development. Super easy online ordering and it was ready to go when I arrived and the staff was super friendly! Our family loves ZPizza in Ladera Ranch. The food is delish and the people are really cool - the owners and the staff. They offer slices of pizza (great lunch deals) and we love to pick up a pizza, salad and drinks when we go to the beach, park or the summer concerts. The crust, ingredients and flavor are amazing. When we shop in the area for surf and golf clothing, or are out and about, we stop by to enjoy lunch or dinner outside at one of the tables in Mercantile West. Employees are either lazy or incompetent. Called in the order over phone 40 min prior to closing (employee communicated it would be ready in 25-30 minutes), and when I arrived the guy said the order was never entered (same voice as on the phone, and I arrived 10 minutes before close). Ended up just buying the available pizza slices, which were average at best and pricey. My feeling is they just wanted to go home and were over it. Avoid. Oh my gosh....the salad was inedible. Pears are brown. It was not even remotely chilled or cold. Clearly had been prepared and out at room temp for some time. Greens were wilted and rotten! The clincher is there was a VERY LONG dark hair in the salad!!! I called them right after the salad arrived and the young man I spoke to was extremely rude. He said there was "nothing he could do about it". So if you want an old, rotten salad with hair in it ......this is your place. Gross. After a couple of bad meals, the manager/owner went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. My husband decided to give them another chance and he got pizza and a veggie sandwich. The food was good and the service was much better. I really wan this place to succeed and I'm happy to see that they do care about their costumers and they do address all of our concerns. Really great food but have NEVER had a pleasant experience with customer service. They are rude on the phone and unorganized in person. Very unprofessional. Because we enjoy their pizza so much, we keep giving it another shot but not anymore. I've wanted to try this zpizza location for a number of weeks and when I finally got the chance to stop by I wasn't disappointed. Walked in and was impressed at the sophistication of the menu, from turkey to tuna and veggie to meatballs; I couldn't decide exactly what I wanted because everything looked so, so good... Strange but true, pizza was the farthest thing from my mind. While standing in the middle of the dining area listening to KLOS on the radio, and trying to decide what it was I wanted to eat, a guy in light blue short shorts greeted me by asking how I was doing. At first I didn't know if he worked there or not... Sorry, but the blue shorts threw me off a bit. He was actually really nice, very accommodating, and seemed surprised that I asked "how are you doing my friend?" after he greeted me, as if to suggest that Ladura Ranch customers usually respond in rhetoricals or not at all... That's too bad because blue shorts guy was more than willing to offer suggestions and provide descriptions which really set the tone for my entire experience while dining in. I settled for the Pollo Latino sandwich and he promptly rang me up. After the transaction was made I was curious as to how much a slice of pizza was, which he provided, but then suggested the 2z and 3z combos which I more than likely would have gotten if I wasn't so enamored with reading the ingredients of the sandwiches on the wall menu... C'est la vie I guess; but no matter, I'd surly be back again. From the cozy four table dining room I was able to watch the blue shorts guy prep, cook, and serve up my sandwich along with some BBQ potato chips. In all honesty it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was the standout: light, crispy and very flavorful with a combination of lettuce and avocado that blended perfectly with the spicy lime chicken. Outstanding! My family's weird. We have two vegans (me) and two vegetarians. We came here because of you, Yelp! So we're looking for vegan restaurants and this pizzeria had vegan options and there's literally nothing we can find in this area. So onwards we go and ordered two different kinds. I was disappointed. I have had Zpizza before and it was good and hot. This time I walk in and I am the only customer in the store (4 people working). I asked for 2 slices of pepperoni. They took it right out of the display case and stuck it in a box. Most pizzerias put the slices in the oven to heat them up, that didn't happen here. I thought perhaps the pizza was just slipped into case from the oven. Anyway got home 5 minutes later and the pizza at best was luke warm. I'm not a pizza person (don't judge) but Z Pizza has been a lovely little treat. Staff: super nice, personable local kids - NEVER had an issue with our orders. Location: Ample parking. Tiny spot of you want to eat in but it'll do the job. Flavor: pizzas are great. We've only done the standard crust which is pretty good - I prefer a thin option but the flavor is pretty legit so I'm not mad about it (hence my 4 stars instead of 5). After perusing their corporate website to look at the menu to figure out what to order, I was quite excited to try the place. All of that talk about high-quality organic ingredients and "A different kind of pizza" or whatever they said was getting my motor runnin'. We ordered an Italian Pizza, which was pesto, tomato, ham, aritchoke hearts, and black olives. The pizza was not falvorful, the ingredients did not seem overly fresh or tasty, and it was a bit of a let down. The crust seemed, ok, but other then that, I dunno. Maybe they need to start using pesticides or GMO's to get some flavor into their tomatoes and pesto. Seriously, a Trader Joe's frozen pizza has better flavor. We also ordered a greek salad. Which was just... a greek salad. Nothing offensive, but certainly nothing special. I would probably give this place two stars, but the person who answered the phone and took our order was very friendly and nice, and the pizza arrived hot and on the low end of the estimated delivery time. Personally, I love this location & have never had any issues with them. Plus, they have stayed in business longer than most of the surrounding shops & restaurants in this plaza so they must be doing something right!!! Their pizza is good, & I appreciate their organic/vegan options. Their sandwiches are also amazing, in addition to their salads being yummy. It is a tight space inside, so I normally opt to do take out, but when I do want to stay and eat, there are plenty of tables out front so it's not so claustrophobic. Had a doctor appointment in Orange County. Before heading home to Menifee I decided to try something new for lunch. Stopped in at Zpizza in Ladera Ranch. What an incredible surprise! I ordered the lunch special with a slice of cheese or pepperoni (I opted for cheese) pizza and a salad. Way more than enough for my lunch meal. Very tasty and fresh food. I looked over their menu and noticed all the veggie choices and determined this is also a healthy choice menu. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. I've eaten here a few times now, since they serve pizza by the slice, which I like. Unfortunately I don't like their slices. Doesn't seem too hard to make a decent pizza slice but Z Pizza just isn't that good. Maybe because I'm comparing it to Rocco's or Upper Crust. Their slices are really tasty and fresh. And the slices are bigger for less money. The service at Z isn't that great either. Typical bored, non-customer service oriented teenagers. Too bad, it would be way more convenient for me to go to Z Pizza instead of the other two. For now, I'll just make the short drive to satisfy my pizza slice craving. read more

We ordered a pizza here for delivery the other day when it was pouring rain outside. The good: - The pizza is good. The crust is toasty but not hard. The pizza wasn't super salty but was still flavorful. - The pizza came quickly for delivery especially considering how bad the weather was that day. The bad: - We ordered a large margherita pizza. We received a medium (we think) cheese pizza. We were charged for a large margherita though which is quite a bit more.
