Check your receipt before you leave the store; several times I have caught the clerk scanning several items 2-3 times when I only had 1 item. When I tried to get it corrected they told me too bad I left the store and for all they know I put the items in my car. Also when I confronted them regarding this there is no care about it and will say and do anything to prevent giving you your money you were charged for something you didn't buy. Just the same I have called the clerks out at the register and they ignore you like they don't understand and will give you an attitude about it. When you taste the Yomie's in here, it's more like Z-WOW! zTAO sounds like a frat or a sorority, but it's actually an excellent grocery store with a yummy food court, and my fave Yomie's location in DFW by far. It's one of the most delightful locations of Yomie's that I've ever been to. They were just way too friendly. The guy here was a real sweetheart even though it was 10 minutes to closing when I ordered, and made me one of the best mango pomelo sago drinks I've had. It tasted so much fresher than some of the other locations. I'm definitely a big fan and I'll definitely be back here again in the future. It's located inside the zTAO Marketplace and that's a good thing because it means there's lots of good cheap food on all sides, and you can come here and get your delicious yogurt fruit drink. We tried 3 places, got different types of noodles & the super great spicy fried intestines. All were so flavorful & generously portioned! I stopped in for a simple purchase of dumpling wraps Sunday afternoon during the Cowboy game. Very few customers so no rush. At checkout I greeted Yinhui with a friendly hello with no response back from her of any kind, only a glaring look at the floor. My total was $10.47 so paid $12.00 with $1.53 change due back. This is a good Asian grocery store with some delicious restaurants inside. This is very authentic, and you can find your classic traditional Asian brands. Don't expect to see any American products, as that is not the reason to come here. Overall, the place was pretty clean, and I enjoyed the ambience. there's a lot of bright colorful pictures throughout the store, and I enjoyed seeing this live seafood section. So, when I'm in DFW, it's time to shop! Because I'm always up for something different, I've grown addicted to Asian Lay's potato chips. With 20 or more crazy flavors, I'm in taste bud heaven. I don't have a favorite store, just whatever is closest. This trip, it happened to be zTAO. Glenda usually sits in the car while I shop. She'll get aggravated because I take so long. I'm having fun finding all these new things to me! zTAO was very clean and well stocked. I'll keep it bookmarked to go again. Very rude and grumpy checkout lady with the short hair in her 50s, unwelcoming store.

This place is a complete disgrace. They shamelessly put expired products on the shelves, and when you try to return them, they act like you're the problem. Zero accountability and the rudest customer service imaginable. The cashiers? Absolutely useless. No greetings, no eye contact, no basic courtesy. It's as if they're being forced to be there and would rather be anywhere else. Don't expect help, let alone a smile. The store itself is filthy--unclean floors, foul smells, and a level of disorganization that makes finding anything a nightmare. Shelves are in chaos, signage is confusing or missing, and staff couldn't care less. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are far better, cleaner, and more respectful Asian markets out there. Spend your money where customers are actually valued. read more

I went to Z.Tao with a friend to get some Chinese vegetables and snacks. We were thoroughly impressed by the options and got literally everything we needed. They also have a corner with live seafood where you can pick your choice. The store is clean and staff are friendly. I'll be back and highly recommend going there for Asian food supplies. read more

Beware. Bought lobsters today from zTAO. Guy just reached arm into tank. Guy even dropped a lobster on the floor where everyone steps with dirty shoes and puts it back into the tank. I'm sure the workers there don't changes shoes to go to the restrooms. After steaming lobsters one had fungus that was eating thru shell. Disgusting. I've been doing my grocery shopping here for the past several weeks since it opened in November 2018. The place is clean and well lighted. Their products are mostly imported from China and Taiwan. You could pick and choose the fish you like, have it cleaned and they'll fry it for you, free of charge. They have wide varieties of vegetables and fruits, so as imported pears and persimmons and they sell organic items too. Supermarket staff are helpful, courteous and most of them speak English. My only concern is the way their merchandisers put the SKU prices in their shelves. Very poor merchandising, need to be cor This is my first time to check my receipt after doing my shopping for the past several weeks. I discovered that the item I bought cost $13.99, but in their shelves the SKU price showed $9.95. I asked the cashier about the price difference from their systems and the price posted in their shelves. I never checked my receipt in the past, who knows how many times I was overcharged. How about their unsuspected customers? The guy that helps the cashier went to find out the price difference and told me that the SKU in the shelf showing $9.95 is different, but it has the same weight, ingredients, but another brand. My question is, how long have they've been DECEIVING their unsuspected customers? I paid the item as priced from their systems. TIP : Make sure you know the sale prices of items you purchased and watch the cashier as he/she runs the items in the scanner. New Asian grocery store in Plano area and they actually branded that corner as "Little Asia" Little to no English in this establishment but will try to accommodate you the best they can. Very chaotic during weekends as some of them do not know the concept of falling in line and wait for your turn. Other than that, the grocery is clean, fairly organize. I've been here twice but mostly just for their hot food line. The food is fair to good especially after you see the price. Rice bowls range from $4.99-7.99 depending of your protein choosing. Great Asian supermarket. Super clean and organized throughout. Their produce section is really big and I'm sure if you're looking for it, you can find it. Meats section is a pretty standard size. Seafood price seems comparable to places like 99 Ranch, but their pork definitely were cheaper. Then you'll have to zig zag across the aisles for your sauces and spices. It can be tricky because what you're looking for could be found in the "sauces" aisle ,but might actually end up in the SEA aisle for example. read more

This is my go-to Asian supermarket -- it's on the way between my parents' place and my apartment, so it's a great place to stop for food and produce while on the way to and from those locations. The location is also great because there's a bunch of other restaurants and drink/dessert places in the area if you want to get groceries as well as freshly prepared foods. Inside, there are also several nice eateries to get dimsum and Chinese breakfast and other types of food. The produce here is usually pretty affordable and I enjoy the selection of snacks and drinks available. Also the meat prices are great. However, if you don't know where to find things, it's probably best to just wander around instead of asking an employee, haha. As is typical with Chinese supermarkets, the aunties and uncles here aren't necessarily the most forthcoming about where items are located. Still, once you've gotten into the groove, shopping here is a breeze! Tao 2 Tao 2 market place is basically a rip off over 99 ranch. If you don't know what a 99 ranch is it's a popular chain Asian supermarket. Tao 2 has a food court with the same exact setup and menu as 99 ranch Dim sum and hot food. They also have a bakery inside as well as other smaller hole in the wall restaurants. Browsing through the whole market they have pretty much anything you need and the same selection as 99 ranch. However their are some items that are more expensive and Cheaper at Tao 2 compared to 99 ranch. The prices all depend on the sales because they are always changing. So I guess you could say that 99 ranch and 2 Tao have pretty much the same prices. Some things I saw that was on sale at the moment were cucumbers and Japanese green tea Kit Kats for only 4 dollars a pack. Tao 2 is your regular Asian supermarket and identical to 99 ranch. Also if you're hungry Tao 2 is surrounded by restaurants, boba shops and dessert cafes outside. read more

A friend of my mom recommends this place to buy seafood and fishes. My family is seafood lover so we decide to check it out. Just me who came inside while my parents were waiting in the car with my little girl. There is a fish that my mom likes but she does not know its English name so I facetime her so she can see it to make sure I will buy the correct one. A woman in the fish section came out and said nothing besides slamming her hand rudely to signal me no camera allowed. She pointed at the post of no camera up high on the wall where it is not easily to see at all. If they have the post right at the front where the fishe displays, I will respectly not using my phone. I even apologized but she just walked away then staring at me with her eyes and frowning her eyebrows as if I am a culprit of damage something It would be nicer approach if she did not rudely showing her attitude. It is fishes and seafood, not something exclusive rare. This experience totally ruin my mood to support this market. I still don't understand why no camera in the market? This was our first time coming to zTAO. We have been eagerly anticipating this opening and were not let down. The store was clean and not smelly at all unlike some markets that have a fish section. They had a wonderful and wide verity of produce. The meat area was also clean as they were cleaning it while we were there. But looked as if they were deep cleaning the area. The food court was small, but food looked delicious and area was clean,There were plenty of people eating there as well. We checked the rest of the store out and there are a lot of items I haven't seen before from other Asian markets. I feel you could come here and get what is needed. The employees were nice, smiled and greeted you but also left you alone. We didn't buy anything but plan to go back for our needs. Finally an Asian grocery store right down the road from me! While zTao is smaller than the Asian grocery stores in Plano, I find that their vegetables are actually fresher. The market just opened not too long ago, so it's super clean and organized inside. There's a great selection of fresh vegetables, meats, snacks, frozen items, and drinks! Located inside is also a bakery, Yes Ma'am, that offers freshly baked Asian breads, cakes, and drinks as well. I've tried a couple of their breads and really enjoyed them (my favorite is the Bou Luo bun). They don't have a huge selection like 85 degrees or Sweet Hut next door, but the prices are definitely cheaper. There's also a food court! From noodles to traditional Taiwanese breakfast foods to rice bowls, they have a great variation of foods to choose from. The prices are also so cheap!! I spent about $10 for three different items and even had leftovers. Some of the marketplace is still under construction, so I'm excited to see what it's like when it's completely finished! read more

Very huge compared to the other location on Legacy. Very clean, great prices, fresh fruits and vegetables. The seafood section has a descent amount of different seafood to choose from! Yeah I went into this supermarket with high hopes for good produce and items. Overall, it's not bad, but compared to Super H Mart, this place is lacking, especially in the meats department (although the seafood department is quite good). The produce is clean and affordable, but some of the items are a bit old (I'm looking at you rambutan). A very clean location, although some of the items just don't seem as high quality as the stuff at Ranch 99 and Super H Mart in Carrollton. read more

The chinese cashiers never say hello, never say thank you. They don't even tell you how much it is. Not a fan. Won't be back. It's a bit smaller than other Chinese grocery stores around the area. The produce was less expensive than most but the quality was lower. We purchased 3-4 produce items and they were soft and droopy when we ate them the next day. We also purchase fried tofu and by the second day, it had started to mold. The best thing we bought was the beef sliced for hot pot. The pieces were nice and thin but were cut very small so when we were picking them up to put in the pot, they would shred into tiny pieces. The pork belly sliced for hot pot was maybe the most disappointing. A thin layer of rind was left on so when the pork was sliced, there was a bit of hard layer on every piece of pork which is pretty unappealing. We ended up having to go to another store because items that we commonly found in other stores were not available. read more

Layout is a mess. The labels at the top of each aisle is basically useless. A lot of the stables we get at the old Jusgo location is nowhere to be found here.
