My husband took our son and I to Zucca for my birthday. We are visiting from out of Country. Service was excellent besides the constant attempt to upsell. Cocktails were fantastic, pricey but worth it. One of the reasons we went, is they offered wild caught salmon on the online menu. Once we got to the restaurant, the actual menu just showed salmon, which when we asked was farmed, not wild caught. So I had the chicken, my son the lamb, and my husband the veal chop. The food was okay but not outstanding in the least. Combining this with a very drunk, loud, foul mouthed woman sitting at the bar, the ambience and general experience was less than desired. By far one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant in a long time. All the important elements came together for an amazing experience. The service was so on point! I can't believe how many people checked in on us, including the manager. My friend and I chose the Miami Spice lunch menu and Aperol Spritz for a drink. Went to try the new Summer menu. It comes with a choice of appetizer, main and dessert or coffee. This time tried the tortellini and steak which was really tasteful and the presentation was impeccable. I have to say it is enough to share if you feel like. Had a pairing of white wine which went really well. The service was very attentive and fast, no rush to take you out of the place but rather efficiently served. Zucca Zucca Zucca, you allowed me to have a hella romantic anniversary dinner here and i believe it left a great impression on my girl. This is THE romantic dinner spot at Coral Gables, feels very upscale, cozy and dim, the atmosphere is just right. We were immediately greeted at our table, offered water along with some delicious rosemary bread that was crisp around the edges and incredibly soft and flavorful inside, it came with a side of olive oil and a sauce that had a tang to it, excellent paired together. Cocktails were solid, above average flavor but not mind blowing. Just right. We took our sips and nodded in content to each other. Appetizer time, the fried zucchini flowers with goat cheese and truffle honey, WOW. I'm a sucker for goat cheese and that sweet honey drizzle on top created this velvety, smooth, sweet, delicious bite every time. We also ordered the Popette D'agnello con Pomodoro E Ricotta, also known as the lamb meatballs served with tomato sauce and ricotta cheese. The ricotta gave it that umph, it really elevated the dish, it was a nice bite, but it didn't have me begging for more either, nice bite but i went right back to the fried zucchini. For our meals i went with the Ravioli Di Zucca Burro E Salvia, which is the ravioli stuffed with pumpkin in a light butter sauce. My fiancé was tugging on my plate and sneaking bites at every opportunity, this was the favorite, the winner, the damn best. It appeared simple, maybe a bit plain but it was far from that, the pasta cooked Al dente, the sweetness from the pumpkin mixing with the sage was insane, perfect balance of flavors, not too sweet, the butter sauce kept it savory and well balanced. I want to Postmates this dish every weekend. My partner ordered the Orecchiete with broccoli i rabe, stracciatella, and lemon breadcrumbs. Pasta cooked PERFECT, good flavor, a solid pick if you like a more simple pasta, and really like broccoli, it's the main flavor of this dish, i personally enjoyed the ravioli a lot more. And last but not least, the finale, the TIRAMISU. The BEST TIRAMISU IN MIAMI. There's no words for this dessert, i personally don't even care for tiramisu but THIS. You need this. The carpaccio was the best I've ever had but it needed some more mustard sauce, some pieces had none. The carrot and ginger soup was heavenly. The palline di patate was delicious but a small portion compared to Luca Osteria. The bistecca di lombatello was more of a salad with two small bites of steak and no dressing or sauce (wouldn't order again). But the bucatini lamb ragu was delicious and awesome. My boyfriend and I came to Zucca for our anniversary, looking for a nice restaurant that wasn't just an "Instagram spot" but somewhere with genuine atmosphere and real, quality cuisine--and Zucca delivered. From the start, the service was incredibly attentive. We were given two complimentary thick bread loaves with olive oil and hummus dipping sauces--both fresh and delicious. The bread was so good, our waiter even brought out more without us asking! For dinner, we had the Cacio e Pepe and the Sedanini Al Sugo Di Filetto Di Angus. Both dishes were beautifully prepared, arrived quickly, and tasted amazing--rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. We ended the night with the Panna Cotta Di Zafferano E Frutti Della Passione, which was light and creamy. The only minor critique is that the marmalade topping was a bit overpowering--I personally would've enjoyed it more without it, but it's still a fantastic dessert overall. The place is so nice, and even though the waitress was great, the host was a little bit rude at the beginning, but nothing biggie... I'll start with the great: I've sat at the bar multiple times, and service is always friendly and helpful. The wine selection is outstanding and the last time I was there, I was even served a complimentary limoncello shot. And the starters are wonderful - delicious cheese, amazing meats and soft bread with great toppings. Where it disappoints is the pasta. I've had two different pasta dishes here, and each one just really didn't pass muster. Though they weren't inedible, I expect a $30 pasta dish to be heavenly and make me want to order it again and again. My last time at Zucca, I had a Sedanini that was by all accounts meh. A long, long time ago this place used to be a nice French restaurant, and after a few reincarnation, Zucca continues to serve delicious meals to Miamians. Overall, the food is quite delicious, nothing exceptional. Service is a bit slow but hey this is a slow food place. Our only complain is that for one of the dishes, the waiter put the plate down and told us that one of the ingredients was not available and a substitution was made. My friend was disappointed as she ordered the dish for that missing ingredient, and were he given a choice, would have picked another dish instead. It was a special occasion for a birthday, and they treated us like royalty. The waiter was fantastic and his attention to us was remarkable.

The restaurant interior is divine, about a year ago I ate at POC American Fusion Buffet which is across the street and this place caught my eye. The interior is intimate with a "New-York" upscale dining experience. We started with the charcuterie board and zucchini flowers, both exquisite. The zucchini was creamy and the charcuterie sample had lots of options. The focaccia was light and fluffy which came with an olive spread. My main course was the Tagliatelle ai funghi misti con fonduta which was savory but not too salty and very creamy. All the dishes were extremely decadent with large portions. The desserts were the only disappointment, the Black Forrest Cake wasn't as rich as I thought and had an artificial cherry flavoring. The sorbets were slightly sour as well. The waiters were attentive and came by every 15 minutes to wipe down the tables. Definitely a good Italian experience if you're in the area and not worried about staying in budget. read more

We have been frequent guests at this restaurant and have always appreciated both the food and the service. Unfortunately, during our last visit for Miami Spice, the experience fell short of the standard we've come to expect. I ordered the pasta described as "mezzi rigatoni with crispy guanciale and Italian sausage," since crispy guanciale is one of my favorite ingredients. However, when the dish arrived, it only had sausage. I mentioned it to one of the servers, who did not know what guanciale was and asked another server for help. That second server then insisted that the sausage was actually crispy guanciale, which it clearly was not. Later, when our main waiter checked on us, I explained again. He kindly tried to explain to me what guanciale was, but I told him I was already familiar with it. His final answer was that they only use guanciale "to make the sauce." This was disappointing because the description on the menu was misleading, and the involvement of three different servers still did not resolve the issue. To maintain the impeccable level of service we have always valued here, servers should be able to present each dish and its components, so they can immediately notice when a key ingredient is missing. Otherwise, "crispy guanciale" should be removed from the menu description. read more
