Wow! What a find? So glad we decided to come here from lunch. Their paninis and sandwiches are very tasty. The staff is super nice and the food came out quick!

Had a delicious meal and what a beautiful little shop on Ressurection Bay! The Oakie is my fave sandwich, I've had it a couple of times, but I did pick up. This time I got to sit with my Dad and enjoy a cup of chowder, too! Some of the best chowder I've ever had. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and kind, timely, and doing every task without us even asking. I enjoyed it and will be back!!

This was really great! Hopped off the train and checked out the sealife center next door. Stopped by for lunch and service was nice and quick, we just chilled outside with the gorgeous view until we could eat! They gave me my latte in a cute mug and it came out before the food did. The panini was nice and crispy, and they even subbed out sundried tomatoes for regular at my request. Boy's sandwich was... piled with lettuce. He ended up with a side salad alongside the 'wich. 10/10 just for that view.

We loved Zudys! Located at the Water front park in Seward, it's housed in an historic railway station. Cute eaterie with a good assortment of sandwiches, soups, and salads. Sandwiches are definitely shareable! We didn't try the desserts but they had a good choice of cheesecakes and cakes. Order at the counter and they bring you the food at your table. For the amount of business they do, the food came out very quickly. They also have outdoor seating.

Zudy's Cafe is a delightful find in a hideaway town at the top of Resurrection Bay, off of the Gulf of Alaska. The pleasant and prompt service delivered appetizing fare in a rustic, down home type of cafe' that is very welcoming to outsiders and locals alike. Decorated with art for sale by local artists this gem is an unintentional gallery that also serves food. My party enjoyed; a Belgian Waffle, the Breakfast Platter featuring; Reindeer Sausages, eggs, sourdough bread and potatoes, and The Salmon and Eggs featuring; smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, on sourdough toast with sprouts and a chili sauce. All food was prepared quickly and expertly, served hot and bursting with flavor. Price-wise, Zudy's is on par with other Alaskan eateries, which is to say pricey compared to the lower 48. Be prepared to pay $20.00+ PP for breakfast meals. On a brisk Alaskan morning in Seward, AK, Zudy's Cafe receives my highest and hearty recommendation.

Great breakfast spot with amazing outdoor views! Food was solid, but the real star is the scenery perfect place to start the day. Sweet restaurant pup outside :)

We were greeted with friendly smiles as we entered this quaint cafe. My spinach salad was delicious. Exceptional service, a delicious menu at a fair price is what we found. It's clean and inviting. Eclectic artwork hands through the cafe as well as artwork for sale, jewelry and fresh made baked goods. A true gem in Seward, AK

The panini sandwich was really yummy and warm to the soul. They sell it with a side a side of chips and aioli. You order at the counter (to go or for here) and they'll serve it to your table. It's self serve water, napkins, and utensils as well. This little restaurant is really cute and the vibes remind of me of a grandma's house.

Tiny little cafe with really good soup and sandwiches or panini's. Ordered the Oakie and roasted chicken soup. The Oakie comes with Bacon Gouda, havarti onions and apples so good. The soup just what the Dr ordered with the cool weather. Just may need to wait a few minutes for a table as it's so tiny inside. Friendly service and you have to clear your own tables.

A truly Alaskan experience! Sandwiches and desserts with a view of the water. Venue is a former railroad depot. Service is efficient and friendly. Handmade items for sale. Don't miss Zudy's for lunch!

    Gorgeous view, scrumptious food!!

Beautiful view and delicious food!! Great start to our cruise! The brownie and cookie was amazing!

This coffee shop was the most recommended and talked about shop by guides, locals and other shop owners. It obviously is beloved by its community and the line to get coffee spoke to that fact. The coffee was good, the line long, but service was quick and we even got a few take-aways. The ambiance is cute... Is the line worth the wait? I'm torn here. Coffee was good but not necessarily the best, lots of herbaceous drink combos if you enjoy that, other coffees balanced and delicious and the team takes care. However, the space seems overwhelming there are so many people that want to try it and I get why, but the line winds through the tables and there's lots of bumping and crowing in an almost uncomfortable manner which kills a chill morning vibe unfortunately. Baked goods are acceptable but not to die for- though I think maybe this leads back to your & my personal preference, geared toward an earthy pallet. 4 stars for Asthetic and product. They could benefit from an online ordering system or a counter persons who's only job was to get the order quick so guests could wait away from the service area. Too bad the counter for order wasn't near the back, that would fix the flow of the whole store, make it more enjoyable for guests and probably increase sales dramatically. Just a thought. Definitely go, avoid peak hours and order according to your preference so you can enjoy every drop.

Then, let's talk about how the floor slopes as if you're in one of those mystery spot places that evokes a vague sense of vertigo. Now let's speak of the smell, did someone burn some cleaning solution on the grill? Now we need to talk about the food. They ran out of grilled chicken, but they were able to produce chicken parmigiana. How is this possible? After an interminable wait, the mysterious chicken parm arrived and it made 7/11 hot dogs taste like gourmet food. My partner ordered local halibut fish and chips. The cook must hate himself, people, and halibut. Somewhere under some nasty crust, may have been some halibut, but it also may have been left over sushi crab or perhaps packing peanuts. This place exists in a land of fish - how do you screw that up? Now let's talk about the scam. We were informed that they had run out of regular French fries, so they would be substituting sweet potato fries as the included side. When the bill came, we were charged $4 extra per person for the upgraded fries. I would have loved to stay and argue about this, but the world was passing us by during the time we had spent sitting there waiting for this mediocre meal. Total for crappy chicken parm, and sad pretend halibut, and a beer that got warm by the time the food arrived was $62. Anchorage is only an hour and a half farther down the road. Just drive on. Or hunt for your own food, berries and fish and whatever else you can scavenge will taste better.

The menu was different but I was happy to see they still had the chicken wrap on there. It went downhill from then. I asked for a Gold Medal Chicken Wrap, with crispy chicken (ranch was not an option, previously it was my go-to choice) you could have hot wings sauces, or honey BBQ - and this is my bad, I initially thought that it said honey mustard, so I said honey mustard. It came with a choice of tater tots onion rings or fries. I chose tater tots, but changed my mind to fries. Husband just ordered a piece of carrot cake. I was very disappointed with this wrap, not just in comparison to the wrap that used to be available, but just as a wrap being offered by a restaurant in general. The honey bbq sauce (I had asked for some on the side, to dip it into) was red. And I couldn't taste any BBQ smokiness. It was very tomatoey. I queried about my honey-mustard error, and she showed me the menu, and that mistake was definitely on me. I asked if she had some ranch I could use as a dip, and was brought some. So anyway, the wrap - loosely wrapped and quite floppy, and warm, as though it had been grilled or broiled, which rendered the lettuce leaf and tomato slice warm, limp and floppy. The previous wrap from Sunrise, and most other wraps in restaurants where I've had them, will serve an unwarmed tortilla with raw crunchy vegetables. The Sunrise previously did so - lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, shredded cheese, julienned carrots and crispy chicken in a cool creamy ranch dressing, it was a tightly wrapped, crunchy delight, and out of this world. I recommended it to anyone passing that way. The best thing I have to say about this one, is that there was plenty of chicken and it was tender. There was too much of the honey bbq sauce in it though, and the chicken wasn't crispy anymore, the breading had gone very soggy. It was a disappointment. As were the tater tots, when I had requested fries. The server was pleasant enough, and I tipped her well, but I wasn't happy with the food at all. Won't be returning anytime soon
