This restaurant refused me and my trained service animal who I must have with me at all times for my neurological disorder. As soon as I walked in, the staff member immediately got aggressive standing very close to me to force my body to move back outside behind the door. Even after I explained that the animal was trained and working, he said "it doesn't matter what it is, we do not allow service dogs, you need to get out". I told them this was in violation of the ADA, and they said "that doesn't matter". I then was unable to sit down in time and experienced a panic attack outside. My cousin (who is a Hoboken local) and I stopped in after attending a concert at MSG. We stayed until they closed and each ordered a drink. My cousin didn't like the drink she ordered so she asked for a different one (no charge). I had an espresso martini which was pretty good. The sports and music were SOOO loud that we were sitting next to each other and screaming into each other's ears. It was only 4pm on a Sunday, kinda ridiculous. The food was okay, service took a while to get to us so it's nothing incredible but hits an American grub craving when you need it. Also wish the cheese balls came a really small serving of the tomato soup, a larger portion would have made more sense given how many there were. This was my first time at 10th & Willow and we'll definitely be back! It does have a bar/grill ambience but the high tables in front had candles on them for dinner so it was slightly elevated. The service was incredible and their approach is different in that every single person out on the floor will help you. They always knew when we needed something and everyone was eager to assist. My fiancé got the Pink Pom cocktail; it was so deliciously refreshing! For food, we had the goat cheese balls served with tomato bisque - I loved that there were multiple so I could keep eating them LOL but they were very rich and my fiancé could only handle one. I would say smaller balls, less goat cheese per resulting in more quantity would perfect this dish. I then had the Greek salad which was delicious - dressing was amazing and different but the grilled chicken was over cooked/very hard to cut. My fiancé had a sandwich of some kind that he loved, onion rings that were HUGE, and then I had to add on a basket of French fries because they are ~life~ and I'm so happy I did. Cozy and old fashioned neighborhood atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. Empty around 2 pm on a summer Saturday afternoon, our party of 7 plus a baby was greeted warmly and treated to a "private " back room. I wanted to see if it would be possible to host people in their back room for an after party event, so I filled out a form on their website. Some man contacted and was incredibly rude. He opened the call by saying "what are you even trying to do" so I explained, and he said there was already a party in the room from 8 to 10. I said no worries, we wouldn't want to come until after 10 anyways, and he then bugged out and said it can't be done. I replied okay that's fine, I just wanted to see if you had any availability but it sounds like it's booked up! He then just hangs up. If you were booked and felt like giving someone attitude for no reason, you should have just sent an email saying you did not have availability that day. As I sit here at the Elysian pondering what just happened at 10th & Willow, I've noticed something. Friday @1pm, the Elysian is packed while when I was just at 10th & Willow, there was hardly anyone there. Why, do you ask? Well here's my experience: Was walking down the street and felt like grabbing an end of week beer. Walked into 10th and Willow. I take one step into the main room and a server steps right in front of me. Doesn't say hi. Just asks for my ID. I tell him I was just out for a walk and I don't have it. He says I must leave! Now, I am a 35 year old with a gray beard, wrinkles, and a receding hairline. I assure you, I don't even come close to looking under 21. This server said "he didn't care". It was pretty laughable. The server then goes on to say that he "doesn't know me". What does that have to do with anything? If you knew me, you would not follow the policy but the fact that I clearly look over age doesn't do it? What if an 80 year old man came in that you didn't know? Now I understand the need to make sure there is no underage drinking but this was ludicrous. Take your business seriously read more

Decided to give this place one more shot, Bc I guess in hindsight the thanksgiving wrap wasn't the best choice.. so I decided to go with old faithful - the bacon cheeseburger. Tough to mess that up.. somehow they did. Asked for a Bacon cheeseburger. Got a bacon burger no cheese.. I never send things back but a bacon burger with no cheese is just not enjoyable. Great drinks, better than average bar food, pretty lackluster service. Came here on st. Patrick's day, and they looked pretty understaffed so I understood why they were so slow. But it took them like 20 minutes to even get our drink order so that was a little annoying, we had to walk inside and get somebody. But they definitely were more attentive the remainder of the night and even noticed our table was unbalanced and stuffed cardboard underneath to keep it balanced. We pretty much ordered the most basic bar food you could think of. The wings, we had all four of their flavors which I thought were some of the better wings I had in hoboken so far. The artichoke dip was a surprise, one of the better I have tasted, they added a bunch of cheese and had lotta fresh artichoke bits in it. The chicken cheesesteak was better than average, the bread quality was really good too! All in all I think this place is good, and definitely would come back here again for its consistency, and the food was better quality than I expected. Great little corner bar in Hoboken. I was here on a cold, early Tuesday evening but your results may vary. It was pretty quiet when I was in. Dark and cozy in here on a cold night. It's got a lot of TVs so you can find something to watch if that's your thing but it's low key enough to have a more intimate gathering. I get the sense that they are set up for more of a crowd though. 12 or so beers on tap. Full bar. 8 TVs. Can seat 15 or so at the bar and tons more at high top tables. More dining in the back. This place is great. All of the food coming out of the kitchen looks great! I uploaded the menu so check that out. I ended up just having a burger. It was a good burger. Well cooked (to your liking) juicy burger on a Brioche bun. I could have used more toppings but that's ok. Crispy thin fries. My friend group and I went to this establishment on a Sunday to enjoy a day of food, football and drinks. Unfortunately, this day went very poorly because of the 10th and Willow staff. We began by ordering some drinks and appetizers at the bar, but since we were a large group, we spoke with the hostess about getting a table so we could eat a real lunch and clear up some space at the bar. She said she would let us know. A few tables began leaving and suddenly there were 3 tables available. We went back to the hostess to check in and see if we could be seated at those tables. It seemed as if she did not want us to sit at these tables. She said she would try to get us a table in the back (even though there was plenty of room in the front of the restaurant for us). Finally she said that in order for us to sit at the tables in the front of the restaurant, we would each have to order an entree. This was a very bizarre thing to say to paying customers but we ultimately agreed because we were very hungry. The food was delicious as always. We have been to this restaurant many times and always have a great time but we felt as if the staff had a vendetta against us for no reason; they really appeared to not want us there. Our group was not rowdy nor rude in any way. The hostess did not want to seat paying customers, although I believe that is the role of a hostess- to seat paying customers. Our waiter proceeded to tell us that this bar is not a free for all and was alluding to the idea that our group was treating the bar disrespectfully or inappropriately. This never occurred. We literally ordered entrees and drinks at the table like the hostess requested we do. A friend came to join us at this bar and we were told that she could not stand at the table so we pulled up a chair for her from an empty table at the end of our table. We were off to the side and not blocking any vital areas of the restaurant. The bouncer with the pony tail rudely comes over and takes the chair away. I could understand this behavior if the bar/restaurant was completely packed and people were waiting for tables but there were multiple tables and seats open. We felt very unwelcome at this restaurant by the wait staff, hostess and bouncer. The bartenders were very kind and helpful when we were seated the bar area but the hostess does not want to do her job. We would have stayed all day at this restaurant to enjoy the games but we felt so uncomfortable and so unwelcome by the staff that we decided to leave. As we were leaving, the bouncer with the ponytail laughed at us. It was very immature and bizarre behavior. We had no idea that asking the hostess to seat us at a table would cause the staff to make fun of us and ruin our Sunday. I hope they get the proper training that they are so clearly lacking because this is not how anyone in the service industry should behave toward customers who simply wanted to sit down at a table and eat. read more

Solid elevated sports bar. We live fairly close to it, but have only been a few times (both for brunch and dinner)-and have done take out a few times as well, so they have that option. We've never done delivery, but I believe they have that options as well. This review is for the brunch/dinner (I'll denote any meal-specific pro's or con's below). Pro's: indoor and outdoor seating. For indoor seating, they have 3 separate rooms, so you can somewhat pick your ambience (bar, or more restaurant feel). Why've got a lot of what I'd call "upscale bar food" options on the menu (think the apps you know and love plus elevated burgers, salads, etc) for dinner and then for brunch it's pretty straightforward (standard options). They have a good (read: long) list of beers on tap that rotate, and every day of the week they have some sort of food or drink special. And the staff--they're probably the best part of this place. They let us bring our dog and are always so kind to her-they make accommodations for people with children (read: strollers) outside when it's nice as well. The downside? It can get pretty packed on nights and weekends (that's why we like to go here when we can sit outside in the summer). Parking if you're coming from out of town is challenging (street only and no parking garages nearby), and unfortunately the time we tried brunch, I didn't love it... but perhaps it's worth another shot. This is the place to go to grab a beer, an app, some wings or other elevated bar food and watch a game or sit outside an enjoy the weather. My boyfriend wanted to try this place for bottomless wings. The wings get served on trays that are refilled every 30 minutes. Thai Chili wings were great but good luck getting to them because everyone else loves them too and will grab them by the plate full as soon as they are refilled. The other flavors were okay. Tuesday night we stopped here for some dinner and were seated right away. We ordered drinks to start. My boyfriend got a hoboken beer and I ordered a mint blueberry mule. Both drinks were very good. For starters we ordered the spinach artichoke dip with pita and chips and the fries super crispy. The dip came out quick. It was hot, cheesy and yummy! Plenty of artichoke and spinach. A little pricey. The fries we had to send back to cook one more time and then they were good and crunchy! Perfect amount of salt. The Bleu cheese dip was excellent! And then our waitoe recommended the pretzel chicken. The chicken was on the thinner side but a nice size. It was coated in crunchy pretzel crust and fried to perfection. Great flavor! It had a honey mustard drizzle. It sat on top of red mashed potatoes also perfectly seasoned and buttered along with a couple carrots and green beans. Everything was cooked perfect! Amazing flavors! Forget everything you think you have heard about a turkey burger, that it's dry, flavorless, boring, trash it. 10th & Willow's turkey burger will give your favorite beef burger a run for its money. You can get any of their burgers as a turkey burger but I highly recommend the Willow Ave, get it on a toasted English muffin. Request the English muffin. First of all it's not crumbly dry white meat, it's dark meat, seasoned to perfection, and the char crust they get from the grill is everything. Crispy bacon hidden under perfectly melted cheese round it out, and the "special sauce" punches it through the roof. Don't think for a minute though that any of those topping's are what makes the turkey burger amazing, because their not. The star of the show is the burger Itself and the flavor comes shining through. I ask for it without the lettuce and tomato, request the toasted English muffin, and have a side salad. Is it healthy? Nope. Is it my dream burger. Yup. My husband loves regular beef burgers, but when we head to Tenth and Willow he orders this. All of the food at 10th and Willow is really solid, and consistent. Try the teriyaki wings. You will be obsessed. The atmosphere is another thing to rave about. The front room is full of windows, high tops tables and an awesome bar. It's bustling. The middle room has a more secluded vibe with its own bar. Perfect for private parties. The last room, and yes this place is huge, has a cozy ambiance. Great for families and or parties where you want a little less noise and no crowds. 10th and Willow has something for everyone. I came here with some friends who live local and were promptly stopped by the bouncer at 7:30 PM who yelled "ID'S LADIES" . I guess it's a Hoboken thing to require an ID even just walking into a restaurant but we obliged. Just not a super warm welcome. We got sat in the back corner and promptly ordered drinks. Our waiter was pretty good at recommending certain things so we went with an Aeperol Spritz, a moscow mule, and a cucumber martini. The cucumber martini was pretty tiny, maybe about 2 big sips. Foodwise, we started with the baked brie which is BOMB literally would come here daily just for this. For our mains we got the buffalo chicken wrap and two of the chicken cutlet sandwiches. I liked my chicken cutlet sandwich but wouldn't say it was anything completely out of this world. The buffalo chicken wrap was supposedly really hot. Service wise, while our server was really personable, after we got our food he disappeared for 30 minutes. I never leave reviews, but this really deserves some attention. Six of us came in on Saturday afternoon to grab drinks and food with friends. We were seated in "the second room" and had just placed our order when our friends arrived with their six month old baby in a stroller. They entered through the side door since navigating through the entire bar from the front entrance would have been a huge pain. Without missing a beat, the manager came over and rudely informed us that "the side door is not an entrance" and that our friends would need to come in through the front door in order to be properly ID'd. (Mind you, we are a bunch of 30-somethings...with a baby). Then he says, "and babies aren't allowed in this room - house rules." He then informed us that the room that *did allow babies* was full, so there was no where he could put us. So essentially he was telling us to leave and come back in through the front door so that he could properly kick a six month old baby, who was bothering no one, out of a restaurant. We cancelled our food order and immediately left. It was a wildly offensive and needlessly rude exchange - when you work in hospitality there are a lot of better ways to handle that type of situation. I mostly feel bad for our server, who was so kind and reasonable, and got robbed of a generous tip from a six top simply due to the manager's inability to be a somewhat reasonable and courteous human being. *Never* going back. read more
