The food is not bad, and the ambiance is nice. However, you need a reservation to sit at a table, no matter what day or time. The place had maybe five tables occupied, and the hostess said they all had reservations! There were only two of us, and I'm sure they could have accommodated us at a table. I arrived on a Tuesday evening at 4:30, and it opened at 4 pm. Therefore, there wasn't enough time to make a reservation because they are closed on Mondays. Our options were to sit at the bar, which was OK, it was our only option, and I just paid to park at the meter on Fountain Street. The reason why I will not be going back there is because they charge you this ridiculous 5% fee on to your bill without telling you. They call it a PILOT FEE and when you question the server, they don't know how to explain it and tell you to look it up online with the code on the bill which reads: "THE PILOT FEE IS COLLECTED PURSUANT TO RIGL 42-64, 21-5 (D) AND IS NOT A TAX." What is this? She then explains that the money goes to the state, and something about the building? What! Well, 110 GRILL, there are so many other fine restaurants in the city of Providence! You lost a customer from me, and I will be sure to let my family and friends aware of this FEE also. read more

We sat at the bar for 15 minutes where we were completely ignored by 2 bartenders who walked by us at least 10 times. 2 other couples were waited on at the bar who sat down after us. We came in on a Saturday night and stood in the waiting area for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging anyone who was waiting, so we decided to order online and come back and pick it up. We arrived at the pick up time and waited an additional 30 minutes for our food to be ready. During this time we watched the hostess touch most of order with her ungloved hands. By the time we got our food, most of it was cold and the lettuce was soggy. For how expensive this place is, I expected my food to at least be edible. read more

110 Grill in Providence was supposed to open just as the world was shutting down for COVID in March 2020. It's part of a chain so they waited out most of the pandemic and reopened in Fall 2021. My friend and I were going to a show at PPAC and wanted to try something new. The restaurant is modern and spacious, located in the Residence Inn by Marriott Providence Downtown (also relatively new). I eyeballed the menu before going and there was a nice variety of options. We decided to forego the wine to try a celebratory cocktail since we hadn't seen each other in two years, hence the Cranberry Mojito... yes please! I am a sucker for fried pickles and thankfully my friend loves them too. Crispy dill pickle chips were served with a side of housemade honey mustard & sriracha aioli. Perfectly fried, not greasy, delicious dill flavor was pronounced. Both dipping sauces were yummi! She decided on the caesar: crisp romaine hearts and housemade seasoned croutons, tossed in a housemade caesar dressing and topped with shaved parmesan (extra extra, per her request). I went with the Kale Brussels Salad: a blend of shredded kale, roasted brussels sprouts, shaved broccoli, cabbage, radicchio, carrots, arugula, toasted pumpkin seeds and diced gala apples, tossed in a whole grain mustard vinaigrette, topped with goat cheese. Addition of seared rare bluefin tuna. Crunchy, savory, sweet, definitely getting the hint of mustard in the dressing. I can't wait to go back to have this salad again. Delicious! My biggest disappointment with 110 Grill is with making reservations. Knowing that I had tickets at 7 PM Thursday at the AMP, I made reservations 3 days earlier for my wife and me to assure we had reservations for Thursday at 5:30 PM. As we were looking for parking I called the restaurant to let them know I might be 5-10 minutes late. The person who picked up the phone stated that they did not have a reservation in my name and that it was so busy with basketball fans that they could not seat us. I explained that's why I had made my reservation 3 days prior. I'm done with 110 Grill. Here's a helpful hint fr the 110 Grill management, register with Open Table or Resy. Any restaurant worth a darn uses one of these systems. I have never had issues with Open Table or Resy. Join the 21st century 110 Grill unless you like bad reviews and throngs of people waiting to get in without a system to seat them. Frank S. read more

Excellent, awesome, so so good. We visited the 110 Grill while vacationing in Rhode Island and it did not disappoint. We were quickly seated and the waitress promptly served us water and asked for drinks. The restaurant has modern and clean and had a great vibe. Drinks were phenomenal. Food was superb. I had the veg for stir fry and once I stopped my teen daughter from tasting it, I enjoyed every single bite. Others had the fish tacos and beyond burger. We stopped in after a cheer competition. Our servers were attentive but the issue is the food and the overall management . We had a large party, food came out scattered and cold. Our nachos had no chicken and my husbands chicken sandwich tasted burnt and the smell made it hard to eat. After we paid our check, our teams coach left an envelope on the table that was filled with money for our teams photos. She called 2 minutes after we left the restaurant and the money was gone. They had none of the wines we wanted from the menu, there was a full blown argument amongst the staff that had patrons concerned for their safety and the 4th meal was served 15 minutes after the first three meals were delivered. Our family of 3 were in town for an event at the Convention Center right across the street on 2/1/25. There was a hoard of people descending on the restaurant as they opened. I overheard that they had sick calls and many reservations. Some of the patrons were not very nice and demanding. The manager of that day (Zee) was amazing. He responded to each customer with the most patience and kindness I have ever seen. He clearly is invested in the restaurant as far as making customers happy. We did not have a reservation but he went out of his way to seat us quicker than I could have expected, and serve us, while also managing the flow of the entire restaurant. The food was excellent (thank you, chef) , the service that Zee gave us was excellent, all of our needs were met competely. We were, in fact, so impressed w/ Zee's talent. This was the best service we have gotten in a long time, let alone with sick calls and huge amounts of large party reservations. I hope the CEOs truly recognize and appreciate Zee because he is a huge asset to 110 Grill!! read more

Amazing! I had the Kale Brussels Salad and it was incredible! The chef was very accommodating and made it easy to substitute a dairy-free dressing. No protein needed to be added... seriously the best salad I've ever tasted. I ate at the bar and everyone was very friendly. They are very accommodating re dietary restrictions and even have an entire menu that is gluten free if you need it. Will come back 100% of my visits to RI to eat this salad and hang with this great staff. read more

I dislike rating any establishment three stars and especially while knowing the restaurant may be dealing with staffing issues. With that said, I cannot find any reason to justify our experience going the way it did. We had reservations for 5pm. When we were seated our waitress took our drink order, the restaurant was maybe half full. I mentioned this because it took 30 minutes for our drink order to arrive. Once the drink order arrived we were asked if we would like to order which we did and the waitress asked if we would like some bread while waiting, to which we said yes. The bread did not arrive until a few minutes before our meals. By this time the restaurant was full (their was a PC Friars game that night, so I'm sure that's why). Our food which was simply two burgers took an hour and fifteen minutes to reach our table. We noticed there was no condiments for the side of fries and asked a passing by waitress for some ketchup. This took 15 minutes to get to us. The waitress was hustling and doing her best. I felt bad for how hard she was trying to make up for the slow kitchen and bar staff. I witnessed and overheard many patrons ask for their check and cancel their food order for the same reasons I mentioned above. It was simply taking too long for everyone's food and drinks. Why not have a more simplified menu when local events are taking place. A "game day menu" exists at many other establishments and this location could benefit from such a menu. I do want to reiterate that the wait staff was not at fault at all, they were all working as hard as they could and we tipped well as it was not their fault. This is simply a poorly managed location and I'd suggest holding off on going there if there are any events nearby or during peak dining times until they figure things out. read more

Went to the restaurant after an event at the AMP due to the proximity but likely won't return. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation and waited for a long time to check in with the hostess. They clearly were not prepared or knowledgeable about the events occurring because the staff was inadequate. The service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for water, almost an hour for drinks! All while we saw the bar tender having a very social time, pouring shots for a rowdy group at the bar. We saw another table leave because the service was so painfully slow. Over an hour for apps and kids meals (pasta). Food wasn't bad but in an area with lots of food options it didn't stand out. On top of it there was a special "pilot fee" to dine in a historic building. This place had one of the best Gluten Free menus I have ever seen. They had a separate and distinct menu, which had almost everything on their regular menu. I had trouble choosing because there were so many options. I got the Cuban with sweet potato fries, and it was *chef's kiss.* I thought that the kids menu was also fantastic. Once we entered the hostess was nowhere to be found and when she did come up to us looked lost and told us our table was going to be a few minutes. We continued to wait until we were finally seated at 5:50. once we sat nobody came to our table to greet us or bring us water. Wish I could review the food but once it was 6:10 and a waiter/waitress was nowhere to be found we walked out. The food was AMAZING. I am allergic to quite a few things, dairy, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts. Going to restaurants is always difficult but this restaurant was not. I told the server about my allergies and she was very understanding and said that the burger I asked for was safe without the cheese and made with caution. When it came out 15 minutes later, it was perfectly warm, fries were crunchy and everything was safe for my allergies. It was THE BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD! Perfectly cooked and portioned. Stopped by for a quick drink. It was quiet, but the building was done up very nicely. The bartender was polite and there when needed. Ordered a vodka sprite for me first drink, and then my second. The second came out with soda water. The bartender I forget her name was gracious and willing to re-make it. The one issue that I have is that there is a pilots charge. Don't know what that is, if it was for the kitchen to bring wages up, no problem. But they mention something about a RIGA law that allows them to do this and it's not a tax. It's not a lot of money by any means, but for this reason I probably won't be going back to a restaurant that nickles and dimes you. I would rather pay $1 more for my drinks than think I'm getting ripped off while reading it. read more

Can you give zero stars? Had a terrible experience at this restaurant today and won't go there again or recommend any of these restaurants. Went there because it was close to the RI Convention Center after a big show. The waitress was pissed that we were there because it was 2 p.m. She gave us attitude from the start. She never gave us table set ups and delivered the half the food without bringing forks and plates. She was in a rush to clean off the table however, even after I asked her not to because one of our party was still eating. She said she wouldn't take his plate and continued to clear the table. Oh, and we wanted to order fried pickles and she said they didn't have any more. Meanwhile, about 10 minutes later, the table behind us got fried pickles. No managers around.
