Ample room 9 tables / bar seating and two outdoor tables. Pleasant music and a cool looking spot . Breakfast is served all day but the dinner menu has larger meals like salmon also burgers and sandwiches are available. I opted for the breakfast burrito with no bacon. I thought it was perfectly made and delicious and the green peppers were a nice touch - great staff (knowledgeable and efficient and cool) recommended.

Love this spot on 16th. I do also enjoy that their menu isn't over filled with too many options. It's simple and has all your basics that you'll need. The prices are also very great, especially for the portions that they are providing you. I went in on a slower day. No one in the restaurant. I opened the door and was greeted and set at my seat immediately. I was handed a menu and placed my order. The restaurant was clean and the staff were kind. I ordered the burger and fries and a Coke. The price was only $16. Which was awesome. All the other dishes were really fairly priced as well.

I had high hopes based on this diner's rating, but it was just okay. The breakfast menu was a little limited (was disappointed they didn't have eggs Benedict) and I wish I had gone around lunchtime to try their fried chicken sandwich. Their prices are excellent and staff were very friendly.

I went here with my mom and we got the French Toast to share. It was really good but the portion was pretty small. I ordered the 16th street omelette which was very good with bacon and onions. The meal was good and the store was quiet. I thought I was going to have leftovers but finished everything. Thanks.

Wow. What a find! Searching for avocado toast I came upon this lovely cafe, a bright spot on a run down but safe street. One of the owners, Barat, told me they've only been around a month. Breakfast & Burger people unite at 16th Street Diner. You'll thank me. Don't expect a greasy spoon, the exterior is clean & bright, a warm & friendly cafe vibe. No burritos here, rather toasts, omelettes, griddle, burgers, salads & cheesecake. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Stash brand tea, & of course a selection of coffees. So far I've reviewed 30 cafes & their avocado toast. This diner is without a doubt in the top 3. Two slices of bread that's actually toasted! A generous portion of creamy, ripe avocado on both slices, topped with cherry tomatoes & chili flakes. I added a fried egg, made to order, with a side of beef bacon which was thick and chewy. Did you catch that? Two slices of bread! $10.99. I've paid anywhere from $7.99 to $20 for one slice of bread with varying amounts of avocado. For San Francisco, you're getting value for your $$. Let's support these people & their delicious food. Destination dining. Afterward check out the many stores on Valencia Street & Clarion Alley murals, just around the corner. Support Local!

Five Stars All Around! We had an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. Everything we ordered -- the omelette, the burrito, and the avocado toast -- was clearly made with top-quality ingredients and attention to detail. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive: attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The entire space was spotlessly clean and felt comfortable and inviting. This is exactly the kind of place you hope to find when looking for great food and excellent service. Highly recommended and worth every star!

We just came by before a concert at Kilowatt and decided to have breakfast for dinner. My husband and I split the Double Cheeseburger and The Albion Platter. So good! Next time we want to try the beef bacon! We'll definitely be back soon

Honestly pretty good! The inside is very clean and cute and the staff were nice and attentive. The food itself was not too bad either, the omelet was cooked nicely and quite cheesy. The burger was pretty basic but the fries were fried to the perfect texture. The fruit was pretty fresh but honestly there could be a few more pieces in my opinion. The potato and pepper side and bread with butter side with the omelet were good additions as well. Good place to stop by for a quick bite if you're in the area. Went on a Sunday around noon and there was no wait.

Great food - ordered an avocado platter! The waiter was very kind. Ambiance made for a very sweet reunion type-vibe with select large tables, and a couple two-seater tables.

I came here with my husband for a quick lunch before my doctor appointment. We both ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries. The place wasn't busy when we arrived so our food came quickly and it was super hot. In terms of taste, it was delicious but the chicken could be seasoned a little bit more.

The staff are all still as friendly as I remember and seating is pretty no frills and what you'd expect for a neighborhood burger joint. My go-to order is still the Classic Pearl's Deluxe with bacon and cheese, as it is perfectly seasoned, nicely charred, and topped with fresh veggies to provide that nice contrast of freshness and textures. The only issue I've consistently noticed, both in the past and again on this visit, is how wet, either from the juice or grease/oil it's a bit unclear which it is, the burger gets. After just a couple bites there's usually enough liquid pooling in the basket to make me drain it out, which is repeated a couple times, just to save the bottom bun from becoming a soggy mess. The onion rings are crunchy, golden, and seasoned just right. I also had a bite of The Bomb, their open-faced chili cheeseburger, and the chili was super flavorful, though definitely a messy experience (as expected). All in all, Pearl's remains a strong choice for a satisfying burger and crispy sides. It's not in the most convenient spot (parking is rough and the neighborhood's a bit gritty), but for a well-made burger that delivers on taste, it's still worth the trip.
