This review is based on just stopping in for one drink with my fiance. We did see the food menu, but told the bartender that we were more interested in a cocktail/beer menu. They had a lot of beer on draft & lots of options, including local IPA's. I liked the way the bar was set up with some funky lighting & some top shelf whiskeys. The bartender was super chill & she knew her stuff! It wasn't very busy when we went in, but she had quite a few patrons at the bar. She would check in with us & make sure we were all set. She put a smile on everyone's face because she was funny & nice. Definitely good at what she does. I noticed a small area for outdoor seating that looked nice. Wanted to try a new place and saw this place on yelp. Thursday's are BOGO pizza nights. Bogo meaning buy a specialty large and get a small cheese pizza for free. Lol I couldn't even be mad when the server explained that to me. It's technical bogo but just not of equal value. Here we go: Food We ordered the tater kegs as an app. It's was a bit small for the price but I did not see a pic of it before ordering. The flavor was fine, but I would have liked more tots. I ordered the Taphouse special pizza. It was ok. The pepperoni seemed cheap and that through it off. Not a fan of cheap pepperoni on a pricey pizza. She got the old brick yard. Now that sandwich was on point. I could taste the smoke in every piece of chicken. I am a huge fan of real grilled chicken opposed to flat top seared chicken. It was a good choice. This is what I'm getting on my next visit. Beer I got a flight sampler. They have preset ones or you can make your own. I tried a random preset one and the beers were ok. The price was a bit high for sapling a few beers. Service Our server was friendly and did a good job. Good service is a bit of an commodity in these parts. All in all I liked this place. Good service and fun, casual ambiance. The menu misses a lot and they don't do the basics well (wings, nachos, etc.) in my opinion. The "beer cheese" is basically liquid cheese poured onto some chips for nachos. I usually avoid it for dinner but ok for a drink with friends. read more

Last three or four times we have been there the food has been disappointing. The atmosphere, the staff and the beer selection are great. But their chef leaves something to be desired. I ordered what was supposed to be Nashville hot honey chicken. It was a big fried chicken breast which I liked. The problem was is basically buffalo sauce which I'm not a fan of. Went here the other day and sat in one of their igloos. The igloos you put a $50 deposit down but get that back in a gift card for your dinning. We got the nachos and pretzels to start with and both were delicious. The pretzels were hot, salty, and perfectly cooked. The cheese sauce was scrumptious. The nachos had all the toppings. The chicken was delicious. I got the Bedford sandwich and it was very good and the fries were good also. The dessert was delicious. We got the fried marshmallows without the bacon and 100% recommend. I would go back for the outdoor igloo and also the great apps and try another entree and get the delicious dessert again. read more

Found this place on Yelp w 4 stars and decided to drive a little out of our way to check it out. We were NOT disappointed!!! Favorite thing: Appetizer * Sweet Caramelized Brie/brown sugar brulee brie, with mixed berries and crackers Our server Jasmine was very attentive even though the place was very very busy. The owner came by our table to make sure that we were happy with our meals and the service as well. Support local! A great place to meet up with friends and also bring your family. Very welcoming and warm atmosphere. A great selection of beers on tap but also has ciders and other liquors. I am not a Beer Drinker, but they're variety of ciders we're great. We ordered off the appetizer menu they had a great variety of options. I recommend the crudite platter, the Bri cheese plate, the pretzel, and the hummus plate. I wish I had room for dinner or pizza because what I saw being brought out of the kitchen looked fabulous! Stopped in here for the first time last week. It was a Wednesday night and not busy so we were seated immediately. We ordered beers and the jerk chicken wings as an app. Once the beers arrived we ordered 2 small pizzas. We were hoping to order another pizza later to go for our son who was at home..but more on that later. Our wings arrived and I think they forgot to add the jerk seasoning. I am not being a smart a$$, they were quite literally completely unseasoned. No salt no seasoning literally no flavor at all. There was some type of salsa topping on it that unfortunately just made the otherwise crispy wings soggy. I don't know what it was that we got but I know it wasn't jerk. We were willing to let that go but, unfortunately again, we sat. And we sat. And we waited. And the waitress apologized. And the waitress gave some bs story that they were so busy because there was a give back event..well every table wasn't occupied and you sat us down and took our order so, what is your point??? All we ordered was 2 small pizzas. I saw the oven and I am certain they cook in a few short minutes so what the heck is the issue? On top of that we had asked for water twice from the time we sat down and didn't get it. We told her to just bring boxes and the check when the pizza was finally done. We actually ordered a pizza for our son from pizza Roma from the parking lot and by the time we arrived it was already waiting for us..that is how you make a darn pizza folks! Without us saying a word the waitress did take one small pizza off the bill but we will not be going back. There are so many great places to eat we would not waste a night out here. As a side note, there were families with young children and it wasn't quite a "taphouse" vibe. We expected to go out and have some great beer and food but it was noisy children and a bad experience all around. Just a thought but maybe either be a family restaurant OR a taphouse. Not too many people find enjoyment or relaxation drinking a few beers and listening to other people's children misbehave. I had to give them a 1 star review because Yelp doesn't allow you to give a no star review, We never got to try the food because we where sitting on the patio and where ignored by the he staff we didn't even get to order drinks. We saw multiple waitress and I think one of the hostesses but they didn't come to our table they asked the other customers if they where all set but not once even look at us. Had a great lunch here while visiting Bedford. The beer selection was impressive and the food was great! I had the fish and chips. The batter was tasty and stayed crisp till the end. My wife had the smash burger and said it was awesome. We also got a pesto chicken pizza to go for a light dinner and the short ribs for our son. He raved about how tender they were and the great sauce. The pizza was perfect! Just the right amount of pesto and flavorful chicken on a crisp, thin crust. It had a beautiful bar area and the sitting area with lightning is perfect. The entire restaurant was spotless. The staff was so pleasant and attentive. The BEST part - the FOOD !! Wow - delicious!!! The 6 of us ordered an array of appetizers, great draft beers and dinners. We all loved what we had, not one complaint from 6 woman is unheard of. Food is consistently good here. The atmosphere is laid back and the wait staff is pleasant.

The pros: It's in a great location and open pretty late for the area. The inside is large so you aren't crowded next to other tables. It's clean and has a good atmosphere. The waitstaff is pleasant and quick to serve. The food features brick over pizza, wings, burgers, fish and a good selection if you aren't craving pizza. The cons: The vegetarian and vegan options are very few. The menu says to ask about the seasonal vegan special which I was told was essentially pasta with nothing on it. I don't have a problem with it, but please have a vegan option if it's advertised on the menu. No vegan cheese or veggie burger options either, so the selection is limited if you fall under one of these categories. read more

I think 1750 taphouse has one of the best pizzas. I ordered the small tree hugger. When I ate the leftovers the next day, it tasted just as delicious as the day before and very fresh. The sauce and dough are beyond exceptionl in quality. I wish I knew what their secret recipe was for the dough. I also love the sandwiches. The staff are very prompt and friendly. This place has the potential to be good but sadly was not. Overpriced beer and food. Kids meals at that price should just include a drink! A kids milk was ridiculously overpriced. Not only that, the prices on the menu were not reflected on the bill. The kicker was when we ordered an appetizer but it never came. When the meals were being dropped and I asked if the appetizer was still coming, our waitress literally said, "I totally forgot about that". And then looked at me all dumbfounded. No "I'm sorry" or "would you still like it?". I was a waitress for a long time and that could've gone over a lot smoother! And inedible grease burgers. I have been here twice in the last two weeks and both times were awesome. They built a beautiful big stone patio with tables spaced safely apart. Designer heaters are being set up now. Wasn't impressed it looks like a nice place there was plenty of staff our main course was fine but we got the Pork Nachos for a appetizers it was the "leaning tower of pizza" the pork was plain no flavor an the cheese the second she set the plate down it started to harden together made the whole thing hard eat. The place seats 108 people an sounds like your in a concert even sitting across from my date I could barely hear her talking. I've eaten here four times and every time has been fabulous. I challenge you to find a better clam chowder! It's so good! The fish and chips is so light and fluffy, not greasy, and such a large serving. Last night we also tried the pasta with scallops and smoked chicken and asked for bacon on top. Pretty much a cluster funk. They were very busy but for whatever reason all the staff was just mulling around up front like hobos without a place to go. Called ahead and ordered two pizzas and a Cobb salad, was told 35-40 minutes. No issues, it was a Friday that's reasonable, got there in 25 minutes because I wanted steaming hot pizzas that would make the trip home. Checked in said I was Bryan and was picking up, hostess said wait on this side of the pole because it should be up any minute, great. Sat down and wait and waited and waited, got tired of waiting and asked again "oh you're Bryan for Bryan's order...?" Dumbfounded came out with two soggy box pizzas not even warm. Anyone with half a brain would have made some effort to make it right, none made. As for the food, besides cold they rank some where below Elios and Sbarros, the Chicken Pesto was something out of a DIY fail. The salad was cold and had decent ingredients. I'm guess everything went in the fridge which is moronic. Wouldn't get pickup here again. The specialty pie was anything but and If you like a pizza that has all the toppings fall off and ruin your pants this will be a crowd pleaser. read more

1750 Taphouse is running one of the coolest operations in the area with personal "igloo" style domes complete with a beater and zipper to keep your party safe from other guests. A remote control is included with your reservation which allows you to change the colors and sequence of the lights inside. A really neat experience! On the downside, we didn't enjoy the food, unfortunately. My side of the table ordered three appetizers to share: the fried pickles, the nachos and the poutine. The nachos simply had lettuce and tomato with a tiny glaze and truly almost no cheese. 75% of the plate was dry chips. The poutine (although it had pork added which helped) had maybe 3 cheese curds and almost no gravy. I used ketchup as it was basically a tray of French fries alone. And the fried pickles had no dipping sauce either. Consider flavoring up your food with more ingredients, cheeses etc to make them less dry. read more

Decided to try this place out last night having heard some good things. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be back. First, the positives. While service was a little slow (it was very busy) the waitress we had was very friendly and did bring us everything we asked for. The only issue we had here was when my wife asked for a steak knife and she had to wait 15 minutes for it as her steak got cold. Also on a positive note, my wife did like her steak and said it was cooked to her expectation. Beer list was decent. As for the negatives, it was mostly around the food and price. We had an appetizer of the tater kegs. They were ok, kind of bland, but a very small serving for $8 was a bit ridiculous. I also had a pizza as people I talked to had raves about it here. Mine tasted ok, kinda boring, but I am not sure how in a wood fired oven a pizza can come out soggy unless they barely put it in the oven. The crust was kind of disgusting due to the sogginess. While the overall experience was not terrible, i do not see any compelling reasons to return. I can get much better food for much better prices elsewhere. read more
