We came in as a party of 8 on a busy Friday night, but the man who greeted us (seemed like a GM, maybe?) was determined to get us all seated! We only had to wait about 15 minutes for a nice table outside. Everyone was pleased with their dinners, especially the wraps, and we'd recommend starting with the burrata! The only thing I would do different next time is try one of their crushes; I ordered a mojito and it was a bit too sweet for me. It wasn't too loud on the patio and we had enough space. My family and I all enjoyed some nachos and drinks at 302! The owners have a couple other restaurants so we are hoping this place sticks around! I really liked my espresso martini (real espresso) and my dad enjoyed his vodka martini made by Shawn. The other person at the bar with glasses (David I think) and a mustache was super friendly and helpful too! I loved the comfy bar chairs and cute framed photos. We're in town for the week and my husband and I were looking for a low-key spot with good drinks and appetizers. Did some research and decided to try 302 Social, which has been open for less than two months. We're glad we came here! My husband had the chicken Caesar wrap and said he liked that the chicken was freshly cooked and hot and contrasted nicely with the cool lettuce. The wrap was slightly warmed and grilled in the outside. I had the crab bruschetta and it was a perfect light appetizer to accompany cocktails. He had two beers and I had The Avenue Crush. Kitchen service was a bit slow, but our server and the manager were very attentive and made sure we had plenty of water and drinks while we waited. Prices are reasonable considering the location and the fact that all dining prices are higher jn 2024. Don't get this place mixed up with the other local restaurant with 302 in the name... we almost made that mistake! This one is on Rehoboth Ave in the old Cooter Brown's location... the sign on the roof still has the old name. Tried this new spot during the off season (January) and now can't wait to come back when it's warmer. Sarah, our server, was great and helpful in providing recommended dishes. We ordered the tuna nachos, the Sussex Sour to drink, their soup of the day, Caesar salad with salmon and their short rib tacos. Everything was tasty and portion sizes were generous. So glad we came to check out 302 Social! We read all of the five star reviews and decided to go for dinner last night. When we arrived, the restaurant was slammed! Luckily the wait was less than ten minutes. We were able to get a table outside overlooking Rehobeth avenue which was really great. For as busy as the place was, the service was perfect. We are in season regulars so we are very aware of how crazy the restaurants can be during the peak months and especially Fourth of July week/weekend! Our drinks arrived pretty quickly. I had the Avenue Crush which was very good. We knew the kitchen was most likely backed up due to the high volume of patrons so we asked our server for recommendations of appetizers that may arrive quickly so we had something to munch on with our drinks while we waited for our dinner. He recommended the Tuna Nachos and the Crab bruschetta which did arrive fairly quickly. We enjoyed every bit of both! For as busy as this place was and for how new it is, they did a wonderful job at keeping things flowing. We really enjoyed the manager who personally came around to visit each table to make sure everyone had everything they needed. I feel that adds an invaluable touch to an establishment. We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and had a wonderful experience. It's on the second level above the Avenue (there is an elevator if you have difficulty with stairs) so we enjoyed looking out at the shoppers from our outside table. The service was outstanding. We interacted with the manager, server, bartender, and food runner and they were all so warm and friendly and eager to help. The food was equally wonderful. I had a super fresh Caprese Salad and the Blacked Fish Tacos. The crunchy slaw and pickled red onions made them super tasty. My hubby was very happy with his Smashburger. Came here because another restaurant has a 3 hr wait. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the shrimp salad BLT wrap, it was perfectly seasoned. The wrap was grilled close so nothing fell out during and after a bite. They used large size shrimp. The bacon was super crisp with every bit. The house made chips great. This restaurant used to be Cooter Brown and it was decent. But with everything being made in house, the quality of food coming out of that kitchen has gone up. I have been to 302 twice now since it opened the first time food was good service was good. The second time again food was good but there was one server for the entire restaurant ( with the help of the bartender) this server serving the entire restaurant inside and out ( in the rain). She did an outstanding job keeping up with all the tables we were so impressed by her hard work and her sweet demeanor. Her name was Eli ( it was on her necklace.) We all agreed it was shameful that the management thought it was ok to run their staff into the ground. How do you as restaurant manager allow this to happen at the height of summer in the highest traffic area of reho? Really bad look!!!! Treat your staff with respect and staff your restaurant appropriately. It's hard to enjoy the food and atmosphere when the staff is mismanaged soo poorly.
