April special at rong bien is $10 for Hu tieu Nam vang Craving Hu tieu so we went for late lunch around 2pm. Spacious restaurant with outdoor seating and we sat inside by the door. Nice cool breeze to cool down especially when having hot soup. We quickly ordered and waters were served immediately along with Veggie sides. The nem nuong roll came out shortly after followed by our soups. We got the Hu tieu Nam vang and Banh canh cua, both soups came out piping hot and man it burned going down, but burned so good. Too hot to handle so we had to take half of everything Togo. Good food good experience will Def come back

Food 5 Really tasty (& sweet) broth minus msg. They provide real fresh & big shrimps and fish balls in their seafood noodle soup. The tofu spring roll was really good too. Service 5 Fast serving upon order Ambiance 5 Clean with nice decor. Will definitely come back with family to try their full 4-6 course meal (which offers very reasonable price).

    Hu Tieu Mi Dac Biet

Rong Bien is one of my dad's favorite spots, and since I hadn't been in a while, I decided to check it out. I ordered the large hu tieu dac biet, which I noticed most tables were getting. The bowl came with a generous amount of noodles, but the meat portion didn't quite match the noodle ratio. Next time, I'd probably go with the regular-sized bowl for better balance. The soup on the side had a large beef bone, though it didn't have much meat on it. The broth was light and tasty, which I really enjoyed. The service could have been better, of course, but I came at a busy time.

It's always a good time whenever my family and I come to Rong Bien Restaurant. Our bellies leave happy and full, & the service isn't too shabby either. Shout out to the Boss Lady who is always smiling, friendly, and sweet. Another notable mention is the tall, slender young man who is always willing to help and is very polite. YOU BOTH ENSURE OUR AMAZING VISITS EACH AND EVERY TIME! While Rong Bien has a ton of food to choose from, there are just a few highlights that keep my family and I coming back for more. We recommend their: - hu tieu/mi special dry noodles because the portions are great, food is always prepared perfectly, and unlike other restaurants who automatically include the special sauce in your bowl, RB provides you with a bottle table-side. Use as little or as much as your heart desires. -oc len Xao dua [coconut snails] are fantastic- sauce is so good I catch myself slurping the sauce like soup!! Flavors are well balanced and isn't overly sweet nor is it not sweet enough. -ruot heo chien don [deep fried, crispy intestines] is a must!! The intestines are cleaned thoroughly leaving you with a nice crunchy bite. 5 stars for the delicious flavors, great service, and the restaurant is super clean!

I been for while I came back to San Jose for Asian market shopping trip. The name of restaurant ' rong biển " was attracted me. Friday at noon time it was perfect for luncheon. I was impress how nice and clean inside. The service is excellent and the foods very good, soon their bring the steam clams with lemongrass, Nam Vang noodles, and butter garlic lobster, i know right away this is my great choice. I think this is the best foods so far, compared I remembered how good from the past used to be. Love it , love it, love it. I can not wait another trip to try something else on the menu. BRAVO " rong biển " will see you soon.

Came by for here for lunch for a quick bite. Food was good! Wished the nam nuong cuon had more nam to it but overall it was still good. Also had the ga chien nuoc mam as well. That was also good and was gone before I could snap a picture. Definitely will be back to have a family style dinner here soon!

    Stir-fried Lobster w/ Butter & Garlic

I've visited this restaurant several times now, and while the food usually delivers, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Let's start with the positives: stir-fried Lobster with Butter & Garlic--has consistently impressed me. The flavor is rich and good, and the lobster is always cooked just right. It's definitely a go-to dish for me and has never disappointed. Most of the other dishes I've tried here have been pretty good as well. The flavors are generally bold and good. It's clear the kitchen knows what they're doing when it comes to cooking seafood. The only dish that didn't hit the mark for me was the Stir-fried Lobster in Tamarind Sauce--it just didn't work for my taste, with the sauce overpowering the natural flavor of the lobster. Unfortunately, the service is where things really fall short. The staff is not very attentive, and on more than one occasion, I've had to wait too long just to get someone's attention. One particular experience stands out: I asked for a 4-5 pound lobster, and when they said they didn't have that size, I told them I'd pass on it. Instead of being understanding, the woman taking the order gave me attitude and didn't return to our table at all after that. That kind of behavior really takes away from what could be a great overall experience.

This is my favorite noodle soup flavor of all the shops in San Jose, it's almost like the noodle soup flavor in Saigon, plus their quail eggs are fresh not the canned one

Fresh coconut!! Tastes so good for summer!

My husband and I came here for dinner, they have very good collection for Vietnamese food. We order Cá Kho, Canh Chua they are so tasty . I like how they offer Hot pot , family dinner , and appetizers. I like how they have fresh coconut juice. It makes me feel like i am in Asia.

They do have YouTubeTV. During game time, you can ask them to change channel on the TV. Food wise, it was ok Hotpot: 4/5. You are here for the hotpot, right? Big pieces of catfish. That is a plus. Salt and pepper fillet: 3/5. Batter too think. Fillet too thin and small. Service was good. Our waitress was attentive and came to refill water without asking.

I am basing my review off take out since I don't usually eat there* It's nestled in the plaza off Aborn Rd and White so parking shouldn't be an issue. The inside isn't extremely huge, but there are tables - though there are times when the tables are put out. But if you go up Aborn a bit, there's Evergreen Square where you can sit and enjoy the sun! Definitely call ahead of time if you are doing platters, but they also offer 2-3 item combo plates! Every time I have visited, the staff is pretty kind and get your order out to you as soon as possible. OKAY THE FOOD: * Chow Mein: delicious. you CANNOT go wrong with this item, it's perfectly made and gives the authentic "take out chow mein" taste * Salt and Pepper Pork/ Wings/ Calamari/ Shrimp/ etc.: Literally anything that's salt and pepper, I LOVE. My family and I usually get the salt & pepper pork or wings, depending on what we're feeling. 20/10 would recommend. * Honey Walnut Shrimp/ Chicken: Another all time favorite dish here - they somehow get the shrimp/ chicken crispy despite it being in the sauce. LOVE. * Chicken Green Beans: A classic, but also SO DANG GOOD. Please note that if you are getting an entree, expect your plate to be STUFFED. happy eating! x

The Chinese take out restaurant is located in a plaza in San Jose off White Road and Aborn Road. Parking is accessible in the large parking lot out front. The restaurant is clean and the modern decor is simple. There are a few tables inside for dine in but it appears this is mainly a take out restaurant. I ordered a salt and pepper wings and walnut shrimp. Both dishes were tasty. The salt and pepper wings were crispy and moist in the inside. The wings were flavorful and scrumptious with every bite. The walnut shrimp were crispy and sweet. Unfortunately the cream sauce was underwhelming. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Evergreen Panda. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was welcoming and family friendly. The restaurant reminded me of a local neighborhood favorite. Price point was fair especially for the portion sizes. I will be back to order other popular items from the menu.

We walked in right at opening to a completely empty dining room. Instead of leaving, we browsed the menu and ordered XLB, pot stickers, jelly fish, and pea sprouts (my personal fav) so glad we didn't leave! The XLB are a nice size, with each precious dumpling cradled in its own foil wrapper for maximum soup retention. The potstickers were full of flavor, packed with protein, delicately wrapped, and had the crispiest, golden bottoms! Jelly fish was fresh and the pea sprouts were a hit! The poor owner answering the phones made sure (in all languages) to inform folks calling in that there were a different May Flower than the other place-felt terrible for her but also understood the importance of differentiating right up front. I can only imagine the number of misorders they have probably dealt with. By the time we were done, the dining room was filled with a mix of what seemed like regulars, locals, large groups of families, small groups of friends... this feels like we stumbled upon a tiny hole in the wall restaurant where everyone who has been before just knows the quality and taste they are going to be getting! Highly recommend you check this place out for a dine in or take out order!

This is one of the handful of American Chinese restaurants that stood the test of time. As is typical of these places, there was an old lady manning the counter and also acting as the server. And as is typical of these places, there was table at the end where they were prepping the fruits and veggies. It's truly remarkable how they are all similar in these ways! We got a couple of dishes and they came out at lightning speed. * Chowmein-3/5- delicious with lots of umami flavor but shockingly greasy. I mean I am used to oily noodles but this one exceeded some limits. *crispy salt and pepper eggplant-3/5- I had a stellar version of this dish at another restaurant in Sunnyvale and was stoked when I saw this on the menu here. Unfortunately it was a poor representation of the dish I loved there. The batter was too much and the dish felt heavy. The hot oil or sauce they had felt old and extremely vinegary as well, I would recommend avoiding it.
