My wife and I had a terrible experience. They had no Margarita mix and ran out of wedge salad. We ordered two dinner entrees and took forever. We decided to leave before receiving our food because we couldn't take anymore!!! What you see online is not what going see on the menu. There no longer a prime steake and seafood restaurant. If you're an aspiring restauranteur agonizing over what type of establishment to open - open a steakhouse. A middling diner or bistro will have you pulling out your hair and sweating profusely into the soup of the day. Conversely, a steak salon will have you floating on a single malt river of creamed spinach and enough legal tender to launch your investors into ala carte bliss. Of course it has to be good and 390 Prime is just that. The space is beautifully rendered with enough understated elegance and stellar service to impress any business prospect or wife number three (but who's counting.) And wonder of wonders, you can even have a conversation without screaming. I can't think of one thing I didn't like, and that's from someone who detests high price point pretenders. There was absolutely nothing good about this place.. The decor is so boring it looks like cheap painting bought at IKEA. I had to ask multiple times for a few things, and it never came, we waited a very long time for my food to arrive, and when it did, the steak was extremely overcooked.. it was like a sponge. The chef came out and noted thar the steak was disgusting, apologized and said there were new chefs in the kitchen but I told him he should check, especially steaks, as they leave the kitchen, especially with new cooks Also, as we waited, starving, we watched a group of 8 people slowly arrive, and they RUSH to bring them bread and butter.. while we sat there having already ordered, waiting, and not offered anything. The ONLY good thing was my drink, which I paid for and left without eating any food. I also have read that they are bribing people to leave good reviews on Google with discounts. Note their poor score here, but suspiciously high score on Google.. I also find the fact that the manager has a clap back to every single comment, agreeing that this restaurant has taken a major turn for the worse simply offensive... if you can't admit you have a consistent problem, then you'll never grow, and you'll lose lots of locals. Happened to stay at the DoubleTree and the restaurant was attached to the property. Normally I find these types of places average at best...but this place was GREAT!! A little bit on the pricey side ( which is why I only rated them a 4 star) I had the small filet, broccolini, and seared Scallops! All of the food was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was a cool modern vibe with plenty of room for everyone. The have a great bar selection with plenty of wines, bourdons, and beers. Overall very clean as well. Probably one of the only negatives it's so big inside, and I was there on a Tuesday night it felt very empty. To quite for me, but it will be my choice of restaurants when I'm in the area. read more

I reserved my table as required on OpenTable. Upon arrival we met the hostess who was pleasant and seated us in the EMPTY restaurant. The room decor was very nice in my opinion. Our waitress Maria was pleasant throughout our time here. Dinner rolls were brought to the table, they were neither warm, nor fresh, they definitely had that day old taste. We ordered the Fried Calamari ($23) it was good but the portion was way too small for the money. The Caesar salad was good. We ordered 2 ribeyes steaks (nicely cooked) and 2 ala carte sides ($10 each) French fries (very good) and a baked potato (skin was like rubber). A glass of wine was $14 and they give you what appeared to be the equivalent of two shot glasses for this price. There was a bottle of water on the table which I wrongfully assumed was included, this cost an additional $12, I literally saw the same bottle on a supermarket shelf today for $2.49. Via OpenTable I had requested a piece of cake for my wife's birthday, this was never acknowledged or brought to the table which was disappointing. This wasn't a terrible experience, but the stale roles, small portions, forgetting of the birthday cake, only a choice of three steaks and small menu as well as high prices warrants a 3 star rating to me. For what I paid I could have gone to a high scale restaurant for nearly the same cost. Would I go back, maybe someday, but not in the near future. read more

One of the worst experiences. Waited 45 minutes for appitizers and 1 hour and 40 minutes for our entrees. When the food came, half of the entrees were cold, the steaks were well overcooked, and they brought out the wrong food. We came on a Saturday for early dinner. We had the whole place to ourselves. Yvette was very friendly and helpful going over menu. The Ambience was very nice. When we both got our 7 ounce filet mignon looked totally different in shape. Mine looked like a party vs my friends looked normal plump and juicy. When we asked our server why they looked different. She really didn't know what to say, but said it's the way the packaging was.. the mashed potatoes were cold and we were the only ones there and didn't understand why that happened when there was no rush long lines of people waiting for food. Very nice place Food was very delicious and the service was like being a billionaire. I almost felt bad how nice and over the top they were to accommodate. We went on New Year's Eve so it was a set menu. I'm not a huge ribeye guy but it was good for being a ribeye. The bar is really nice even though I didn't drink. If you wanna find kind of a diamond In the ruff restaurant I'd go here on a date. Speaking to the single guys out there. It's in a hotel so you would think it's not fancy but it's really fancy (not suit and tie) but def. Wear something like a button up and khakis and ladies maybe a dress. Prices were moderately priced to my surprise. Also we took our 8 year old son and they were able to make him chicken fingers and fries. We had a terrific anniversary meal. It was probably the best steak I have had in a very long time. We both enjoyed the food and were shocked to see the place virtually empty on a Friday evening. The waitress explained that they really haven't been open very long. The prices weren't bad for what we got and the service was great. I recommend this place to those who like steak. Ate here last night as I didn't feel like going out to get anything offsite now I wish I would have $60 for a burger, fries and a salad and one drink. The drink I asked for was correctly made promptly. I was never asked if I wanted any water until my meal came. My salad arrived a few minutes later mostly lettuce a couple little pieces of cucumber and some big pieces of carrot along with one tomato sliced in half the burger and fries finally arrived, it was ordered medium and it was so well done it almost taste burnt had no flavor. Three of us had dinner there and I must say that everything was first class! We started with our usual martinis (Tito's Vodka, Chambord Liqueur and a wedge of lime) which were expertly made. Later, we switched to a delightful bottle of wine for dinner, a Quilt Cabernet, quite full bodied and rich. To begin, warmed bread was brought to the table, which I thoroughly enjoyed, My readers will know, I do not eat bread often, as when I was a little girl, my parents told me prisoners ate bread and water, so I rebuked it regularly, but this offering was quite nice. We all tried the soups. Jon had the Lobster Bisque, which he devoured; it had chunks of Lobster!). Our friend and I tried the French Onion soup, prepared with Gruyere cheese, which is the proper way. Both soups are house crafted and are delicious. The steaks (we all had Rib Eye garnished with fresh rosemary and grilled grape tomatoes) were as good as we have ever had (and my readers will know, I have raved about the steaks at other places; 390 Prime's steak rivals them all!). They use Braveheart beef which is Angus-verified cattle direct from U. S. family farm. The steaks are thick and tasty. Jon ate all of his. As usual, I took some home for a flavorsome lunch the next day. As sides, we shared the Asparagus, which was extremely fresh and prepared very well, and the Mashed Potatoes, which we all enjoyed. Clearly, they do a fine job with their farm to table concept of using fresh local ingredients. I finished with Flowerless Chocolate Cake, which came with chocolate drizzle, strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream (delectable!). I think Flowerless Chocolate Cake needs this type of accompaniment because of its richness. We concluded the evening with Jon having one of his usuals, an espresso martini, and our friend and I tried something very special - a Liquor 43 Chocolate martini! The bartender skillfully mixed this drink, adding a drop of Bailey's and chocolate syrup (luscious!). The service was impeccable; everyone with whom we dealt was completely accommodating and friendly. Everything there is brand new, and inviting; moreover, the entire place is fresh and clean, which I greatly appreciate. In my opinion, this is sure to be a major success because they are doing everything correctly. We had a great time; we laughed and laughed, as the ambiance is rather conducive to enjoyment. This will certainly be a stop that Jon and I will make coming home from New York after any business there. It is conveniently located right off exit 8A of the Turnpike. And the rumor is that they will have entertainment on the weekends, which will add to the comfortable ambiance. All in all it was a restaurant experience to be repeated again and again. read more

Fantastic menu selection, the filet mignon was so tender, and the ginger carrots were so flavorful, whipped potato were silky smooth. The lobster bisque had huge lobster claw meat in a savory soup. Great atmosphere, tables spaced out nicely, it's a nice quiet place to eat. Dark ambience. It happens to be in a Double Tree hotel but you don't need to be staying at the hotel to eat here. The host I believe might also be the owner, he was attentive. Very peaceful place to eat after a hard day's work. Steak is great, it comes with 2 sides and good bread. Made reservations for my family for Easter breakfast. We arrived on time and found the place was empty. We sat down and ordered drinks, coffee and a chocolate milk for my daughter. Waited 10 minutes until another wait staff came to the table and took our drink order again. I was told they didn't have chocolate milk. The staff was cold and acted as though we were a bother. We ordered regular milk and water. That arrived 5 minutes later....keep in mind that at this point we were the only table in the restaurant. We ordered food and waited another 15-20 minutes until I asked when we can expect our order. I was told it would be several more minutes because the kitchen was closed and the chef put everything away. We got up and immediately left the restaurant!! We live nearby so we decided to try the newest restaurant in town this week. It was the day after labor day so, understandably, the hotel wasn't crowded nor was the restaurant. We had the Fritto Misto appetizer which was excellent. If anything, it was really too much for one person as an appetizer so I would suggest offering a smaller size at a lower price point as an option. The caprese had terrific heirloom tomatoes but the mozzarella would have benefited from not being so cold. I was a bit wary about the fact that they don't promote carrying USDA prime beef but was actually very happy with the quality of my 14 oz. NY strip. It was prepared perfectly medium rare (as requested) and it was a really good piece of steak. It was accompanied by two sides so I chose Creamed Spinach and garlic Broccoli - both were excellent. The fact that 2 sides are included is a great value! We also had the cauliflower entree. It was very tasty and a huge portion. My only critique would be that the cauliflower was a bit soggy. They didn't have any decaf cappuccino so we decided to skip desert and stop for ice cream on they way home. You would think that even if they just got a Nespresso machine they could offer this? Overall we thought the meal was very good. They could really use some additional fish/seafood options for the non meat eaters. read more

I brought my team here for a company dinner and was served 2 drinks and ordered a 3rd drink and it never came. When I asked the status of my drink, the waitress told me the bartender Lenny said I was cut off because I had 3 drinks. As a local, I was very happy to see this restaurant open. We need a good place where we can sit at the bar, order drinks, have appetizers and relax. We had great service! Lenny the bartender is super friendly and professional and probably makes the best Cosmopolitan in Central Jersey. The ambience is very nice. The decor, the lighting, all beautiful. I think they are still working out the kinks in this place. The decor and ambiance is very nice and comfortable. The hotel looks very nice as well. They give you a basket of warm rolls, which were very good, however, the butter roses although adorable, were rock hard and not spreadable. Annoying. Ordered spinach and artichoke dip, which was very good. I got the petite filet, which came with a potato and vegetable side. The filet was very good, perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. Had some roasted tomatoes too and they were very good also. The sides are sizable. The creamed spinach was very good. The whipped potatoes were bland and lacking something...garlic, sour cream and chives, something if you don't want to do gravy. My mom got the salmon with the risotto cake and felt it was dry and needed some kind of sauce. I think when making the risotto into a cake, it took the creaminess out of it. The waitress gave her some garlic butter and that helped a little, but they should rethink that plate and the whipped potatoes. The service was very good. Staff was very polite. The manager came over a couple times to make sure all was good. I think this place could be great with a couple tweaks. read more

Had a great meal with my daughter several weeks ago. We were craving a good burger and 390 Prime did not disappoint! The ambiance is lovely with a surprise piano player (wasn't expecting it) and service was extremely attentive. The burger was outstanding and portions were plentiful. (We took home extras!). We also split a key lime dessert which hit the spot. Highly recommend and will be going back for steak next time. Too expensive!!! Over priced. I ordered the ribeye steak and a side of mushrooms. The steak was good but nothing spectacular. The mushrooms were just mushrooms not even a little bit of onions, too plain. Mix Drink aren't good either. I asked for a drink on the menu, the server says they didn't have Grand Marnier liquor, I said if you have Cointreau it's pretty close. Regardless the drink was terrible. read more

The food was fine but they gave me the wrong wine and then lied to me about it. The first glass I got was the right wine. I shared it with my daughter and we agree it was great. I ordered a second glass but received a different much cheaper wine.. I know the wine and detected the mistake and asked them to correct it. They showed me the right bottle but did not repour in front of me. They gave me back the same glass with the same wrong wine with a little of the right wine poured on top hoping i would not notice. I did notice and so did my daughter. I can forgive a mistake but not the dishonesty. Don't go to this restaurant. I certainly won't ever eat at another Hilton restaurant ever again.
