I've been to 3catea several times and usually love the drinks and vibes. But this last visit was disappointing. I ordered two drinks and ended up waiting over 30 minutes. People who ordered after me were getting their drinks first. Not sure what the point of having order numbers is if they're not followed. When I asked about mine the worker said it wasn't ready. Even though I had already gotten the text saying it was. When I finally got one of the drinks, it was all melted, and the second one still wasn't ready. The staff said they couldn't refund or remake the melted drink. I didn't want to wait another 30 min for one more drink so I asked for a refund. The worker refused to provide a receipt for the refund on the other one. I hope I actually get my refund within a few business days. I'm obssessed with 3cat and totally wish that it was closer to me! Oh wait, that might actually be more dangerous to my wallet! I've tried a few drinks here now so here's a review of most of them plus things I have learned. First, I was confused at the difference between tea latte vs Tea+Milk on the menu. The staff told me that lattes are more tea forward and tea + milk (milk tea) is more creamy. One of my favorite things about 3cat is that they have oat milk available for all their tea lattes and tea+milk options. The lactose intolerance in me is very happy about that! Another thing I learned is they run out of the barley popping boba very often. I think more than 75% of the time that I have been here, they are out of it. Last thing to note is that they have taken the Roasted Oolong tea off their menu. Okay, on to the drink reviews! Top favorite right now: Icy peach. this is seasonal I believe. the blended drink is so refreshing. It always has plenty of actual peach chunks. This is my drink that I always get to drink right away. I do it with less sugar level. Top Contenders: -Osmanthus Oolong latte with oat milk. This drink is floral and so tasty! I get lots of the tea flavor and the oat milk is just enough to smooth out the drink. I usually opt to add osmanthus tea jelly or get it with no toppings. I do this drink with less sugar level. -Floral Black milk tea with oat milk with added rice mochi. This drink gives me the black tea drink that I crave to satisfy my needs! The rice mochi is good for a little while if you opt to put the drink in the fridge for a bit. Not great for overnight. I do this drink with less sugar level. -Mochi Mango. Great for if you are craving something dessert like. -White Peach Ooloong latte. This is my husband's favorite drink that he always gets! Less sugar level as well. read more

My order was not ready until 3:53. It seemed like there were a lot of people who waited 40-50 minutes for their drinks - I don't know if this is due to being understaffed or just unorganized. It seemed like they would queue up the orders and call numbers out in batches (similar to Half & Half Tea). If you're ordering in-store, there is a kiosk on the left. Cheese Strawberry - 3.5/5. Jasmine tea slush with strawberry -topped with cheese mousse. Flavor wise I would say the strawberry profile is lacking. Cheese top is delicious. Mochi Mango - 4/5. I would recommend getting this less sweet if you don't like overly sweet drinks. It's a milk based smoothie with mango puree at the bottom, and handmade mochi -topped with whipped cream and wafer crunch. The star of this drink is the mochi. While most shops make their mochi using glutinous rice flour, this shop is making their mochi from the glutinous rice and mashing it. If you like textured food, you will like this drink. Both of my cups were sticky and had some cream on them . I didn't see any napkins and at this point I just wanted to leave instead of asking. Interior - it felt dirty. While I was sitting at the table waiting for my drinks it was really hard not to notice the dust on the seats. In LA I got the matcha mochi and it was reeeallyyy good. First time trying mochi as a boba beverage and damn. I'm hooked. Not too sweet which if you adjust right, can taste so good with the matcha. The strawberry tasted more like grapefruit in my opinion, and felt like there was only a hint of strawberry. It wasn't bad but I just didn't expect the drink to have this taste. The cheese foam was solid though! The ruby biscotti is supposed to be earl grey, but it tasted like a regular milk tea to me.
