I found them on Yelp and chose them after getting four other quotes. From the beginning, they stood out for their professionalism, responsiveness, detailed proposal, and fair pricing. Ale was fantastic to work with. She was quick to respond, answered all my questions, and made what could have been a stressful project feel smooth and well organized. Once construction started, Jonathan and his team were excellent. They arrive promptly each day and cleanup well. Jonathan is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. What stood out most was his communication and transparency. He provided daily updates, either by text or in person, walking me through the progress and explaining what was coming next, which gave me a lot of confidence throughout the project. I also really appreciated his fantastic customer service and follow-through. For example, the game light I purchased arrived broken from the manufacturer, and Jonathan came back promptly after the project was finished to install the replacement once it arrived. The entire project took about a week, and the final result exceeded my expectations. The court and surrounding landscaping look amazing, drain properly, and have completely transformed our backyard. Seeing my son excited to play on it every day makes it even more worth it. I highly recommend Herencia Landscaping to anyone looking for high-quality, reliable, and professional outdoor work. I would definitely hire them again.

What impressed me most about them was when I told them what I wanted, they gave me ideas based on their expertise. I sometimes worry that contractors will simply give me what I ask for, whether it makes the most sense or not. While I've researched the needs, I'm not a pro and I felt like they listened to the project needs and offered insight to deliver the best result. Jonathan gave me his recommendation and their bid was extremely reasonable. The team came out and got the work done in 2 days. They were sweet people and the work was outstanding. They also left the worksite clean, which seems like a given but seems like a rarity nowadays. I would absolutely hire Herencia again for future projects.

With a lot of contractors, there would be a light of hands on management in the day to day but with MG Contruction, they ran the whole operations seaminglessly while keeping me up to date on the progress. They are well organized and Michael definitely has been doing this for a long time. The pricing for his company is more than fair for the high quality of work. Both James and Max were great when I reached out with questions, they were very responsive. A big thank you to his awesome team who helped build the deck and showed up everyday with a smile. One of the reason why I went with MG Construction was because Michael's eagle eye was able to notice certain detail of the job that that the other contractors who provided bids overlooked. I rarely provide reviews for company but MG Construction certainly deserves this one. I will definitely use this company for my future landscape projects.

What we see is a raingarden with coral bells and blue-eyed grass, a mounded berm ringed by manzanita and penstemon, and paths of creeping thyme that Dan and his team created for us. We removed 2146 sq ft of lawn. Our landscape was completed within budget and on time. The Green Grounds team is friendly, punctual, mindful of wearing masks during Covid, and left the site tidy and clean each afternoon. The outdoor bathroom arrived one day prior to when the work was scheduled to begin, and the delivery of dumpster, soil, mulch, plants, and dumpster removal all unfolded as a residential street ballet. Our initial goal was to replace the lawn with a water-efficient landscape with support from the DWP incentive program that offered a $3 for each square foot of turf removed. I provided Dan with a garden plan drawn with colored pencils, detailed comments, some questions, and a list of my favorite drought-tolerant California-friendly plants. Dan patiently responded to my detailed questions about irrigation strategies, design considerations, materials, plants, and codes promptly, line-by-line in my long emails. He provided suggestions based on his experience, brought up considerations, and guided us through the landscape project process. I must emphasize Dan and his team went above and beyond expectations. I will list some examples. 1. An old, neglected, formless and overgrown Yucca tree in our backyard was transformed it into a living sculpture. 2. Blobs of old (excess) concrete at the base of a wall were jackhammered out to create a wider planting bed for the future vegetable garden and sideyard. 3. The team leader noticed a piece of our St. Catherine's Lace plant had broken off, so he took it and planted it in an appropriate spot nearby, saving the cutting and starting a new plant. 4. Our raised beds (that already contained existing vegetables) were surgically fitted with miniature bespoke irrigation systems. I did not expect the Yucca transformation, removing the blobs of concrete, nor for that broken-off piece of our St. Catherine's Lace to be given a second life. These were not spelled out anywhere in our contract. To me, these actions demonstrate care and connection to the garden that was being created. This is kind of wonderful. Dan also provided us an attractive selection of rock, boulder, and mulch samples, later surprising us by bringing by boulders that worked well with the Honey Quartz gravel for the raingarden in both color and scale. Decisions around where to place irrigation controls were solid and logical: the drip irrigation valves were placed in the least obtrusive location in the back of the house, and the smart controller was placed in a location that was easy for us to access. I had not expected an impromptu collaboration making a landscape with Dan and his team. We just wanted to get rid of the terrible, water-wasting lawn. Not only was it thrilling to see my garden design made real, but the experience also turned out to be super-neat. Thank you Dan and Green Grounds!

I was so glad that I reached out anyway just to ask, because it turned out her bid was very much in line with the other quotes I was getting, while clearly being a step above in quality. Helen and her team helped with a relatively large project - rehabbing a slope behind our property that had become barren, building a set of staircases, and replanting our front yard space. From start to finish, Helen was a joy to work with, continually going above and beyond to make sure the project went as well as it possibly could, all while being conscious of our budget. She was collaborative, informative, kind, and generally just a pleasure to work with, and every member of her team was the same. I've already recommended her to family members and neighbors, and am excited to keep working with her for years to come.

They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices.
