4 Wheel Auto sold us a later model utility body pickup. I asked Mark to help with the titling. There were some hiccups due to the NEW agent the DMV had working on it. Mark was flexible and responded fast when we hit the challenges. He was apologetic and his assistant worked hard to help us get the title, safety check, etc. Later it came out that the new employee forgot to charge us the weight tax and Mark immediately agreed to pay that as well. I called regarding a vehicle listed on CL when I came to the lot looking for the Van the owner Mark stated that that one was sold last week and he has similar Van and I will be taken care off with his discount! anyways the new Van he asked $5k higher and if I paid CASH he would help me with the Sales TAX! this is unlawful and I'm going to report this business to DCCA and department of Taxation, I'm sure I'm not the only one he has made this type of offer, he pockets the tax! read more

I and my family have purchased 3 trucks from 4 Wheel Auto LLC over the past 7 years. They specialize in low mileage used vehicles. Every one of the trucks that we bought have been very reliable. Mark has been very open about the condition and quality of the trucks. He has also been very helpful and flexible with timing of picking up vehicles, getting them licensed and safety inspected. He has given me excellent recommendations on servicing and materials to use for vehicle maintenance and repair. He has even gone several extra miles to help out with holding and delivering one truck for shipment off island. This required multiple phone calls and documentation for the port. This was after the purchase of the vehicle, and was not a condition of the sale. Mark has been far more helpful than I would have expected from any other car dealer. His asking price was realistic and affordable, no pressure and he allowed me to walk around freely to checkout his inventory. He has a good inventory of commercial trucks and vans for sale. I scouted other dealers for months and no one had what I needed except Mark, he also lowered the price for me by $4,000-$5,000 because his lot was getting full with inventory. I noticed a bunch of bad reviews by other people however my experience has been positive. I am very happy with Mark's selections of vehicles, quality and prices. A NIGHTMARE!!!! I met with them on a Sunday. I needed financing for a $12,000 vehicle. They told me that they needed a $500 deposit for a loan and would hold my check until I was approved. They said they couldn't do anything that day and would take care of it on Monday. After 3 days of waiting I checked my account and saw that they had deposited my check without me even getting the loan approval. I had to go to the bank myself and talk to them. After the owner of the dealer, Mark had ran my credit multiple times I was denied the loan. I asked for my $500 back and he refused. He said "you lied about your credit and wasted my time". I told him he needed to give me back my $$$$ or get me another loan. Another day later he was asking me for another $2,000 for a different loan. I had already spent 5 days running around to banks and calling my insurance company trying to get them all the info they needed to make things happen, and in the end they wanted another $2,000, hurt my credit and still refuse to give me back my $500. Now it's been 6 days. I tried calling them to get my $$$ back and his wife yelled at me and insulted me on the phone. He's ignoring my phone calls and I'm out $500. He basically stole $500 from a hard working father of 3 with a wife that's about to give birth to my 4th child in 3 weeks. This guy is not from Hawaii and definitely not from the U.S. His business practices and morales are horrible and needs to be stopped. Were definitely going to take the necessary steps to get justice and get the message out about this guy. You can't treat and take advantage of people that way. 4 wheels auto has a car that I was very interested in. I test drove a Ford Escape and thought I'd like to purchase it. Unfortunately, I didn't feel customer service is their strong suit. They aren't very tech-savvy and they seemed to have a hard time communicating with me about pricing. When I sat down in the office with them they handed me paperwork to sign about credit checking and when I told them I needed financing I was told to go down the street to Credit Union. That seemed strange to me and set off another red flag. Both the husband and wife that work there seemed pleasant enough at first but they got pushy. I felt rushed into signing some "Bill of Sale" where they increased the price on the car $2,000 and they misspelled the word registration on it. That was when I opted NOT to sign and got up and walked out. I think, judging on the other reviews of this place and my experience that people ought to really trust your gut when you're buying a car...if your gut tells you that you might be dealing with some swindlers, you very well might be. read more

TERRIBLE! flew up to Oahu to buy a vehicle and saw this car lot on the side of the road. Office is a trailer which should have been our first sign not to do business with them. Found a vehicle and owner promised great service but what we got was far from it. I should have known it was a sign when he couldn't even fill out the "letter of guarantee" for my bank correctly. He promised to schedule shipping as soon as the bank confirmed the check went out since it takes several weeks to get open appointment with shipping company. Bank sent out check, he then says he wouldn't book till he received check. Finally schedule shipping for two weeks later, said he ships to outer islands "all the time". When time to take auto to shipper, couldn't ship because had too much gas in tank so he had to reschedule for another date....if he ships "all the time" he should have known this. Promised to detail auto and have all scratches buffed out, when we got vehicle it had cobwebs on the inside so I know it wasn't detailed and outside scratches was not buffed out. Title was sent to my bank and they said it was scribbled on all over the place. Lienholder section was filled out by auto dealer when its the banks section to fill out not theirs. These people don't know what they are doing and promise you everything when you're there but doesn't deliver on it once you're gone. read more
