I would recommend to buy at least three, but don't get fool by their side: there is no room for air inside the empanada, it's 100% filling Also is nice to see that they put effort to set a stylish store as an alternative to the other boring places in the tunnels. (11 bucks) Best to worst: (they are all good but I just like some a microscopic more) Melbec Beef (little dry but very flavorful) Caramelized Onion Spinach Chorizo (the filling reminds me of a 33 cents beef burrito from Krogers) (Both sauce to go with it but I like the red sauce a little more) If you get the Jalapeno chips you can get two instead of one because they got too many Jalapeno Chips in stock. The caramelized onion was exactly that, really well caramelized onions and very flavorful. The mushroom and blue cheese was very earthy and went amazingly well with the chimichurri sauce. I can't say enough about the bacon dates and goat cheese though. The sweet dates balance out all the bacon, I could eat 100 of those. I'm also struggling to find something at that chimichurri sauce does not go well on, some of the best I've ever had! Being an out of towner, it took me a minute to find this place. I was recommended this place by a friend at work, the empanadas were AWESOME! The only reason I didn't give it a five start was because of the delivery experience. We work in the Med-Center and ordered online on the website, unfortunately there is no disclaimer on the distance requirements. We called at our expected delivery time and were advised the runner had not picked up the order but we didn't think much of it. After another hour we received a call that our order would be canceled and were asked to place an order on Uber Eats because they don't deliver in our area. but that was unacceptable. We were too excited to try these empanadas and we just couldn't take that response, we asked to speak with management and while we didn't speak with anyone they were given a chance to make things right and they did. We were refunded and got delivered our food the next day at exactly 11am (our request) and we even got a desert. Overall I cant complain, they made things right and hopefully they can add a mile requirement on their website so this doesn't happen to others. My absolute favorite was the bacon dates and goat cheese I didnt even need the sauce, the malbec beef well stuffed the meat was full of flavor. Can't wait to try other combinations! read more

I've tried these empanadas: Malbec Beef (shredded beef with carrots - tastes like beef stew with a hint of red wine - delicious and usually my go-to choice) Spinach and Cheese (good, but I'm just not a fan on these) Chorizo with black beans and egg (a little too salty for my liking) Banana and Nutella (warm and gooey, taste exactly like what's in it...neither of which dominate in overall flavor - delicious) BBQ Chicken (for me, it was just ok) I want to try the sweet corn, but they were sold out of those the last time I tried to order one. Overall, the crust is delicious and soft, yet firm enough to keep the empanada intact so that it doesn't completely fall apart when eating it. The two sauces...one is a spicy red sauce, and the other is a chimichurri. Both are delicious. What a pleasant surprise it was to find this place! I have no idea how long this place has been here, but it's quickly shot up my list of places to eat in the tunnels. There is an exciting menu here with a large variety of empanadas - it will take a few trips to try everything here! Not only are the empanadas fresh and tasty, but they also come out fast! I also loved that they were on the smaller side, as that made it easier to try as many flavors as possible. I settled on the "Quick Lunch 2" combo, which includes 4 empanadas, 2 sauces and chips/drink. It was the perfect portion size - filling enough to be a satisfying lunch, but not enough to incapacitate you for the rest of the day (gotta work, you know). There is also a "Quick Lunch 2" which comes with 3 empanadas instead of 4 at a slightly cheaper price. The 4 empanadas I tried were the Malbec Beef, Ham & Cheese, Spinach & Cheese, and Caramalized Onion & Parmesan. All were tasty, but the Malbec Beef was the best! There are some creative options on the menu ("Bacon, Dates & Goat Cheese" and "Ratatouille") that I'm anxious to try next. The only critical comment I have for this place is that they offer two sauces here and neither of them are a Poblano Sauce! The Chimichurri was nice (but very oily, as expected), but a Torchy's-style Poblano Sauce really would've hit the spot. Probably just too plain with the empanada dough around it. They charge for the sauce (hot sauce or chimichurri) which is absolutely absurd. They should just give it to you for free. Dough is fluffy, and slightly crisp. They should make the empanadas more fat. The filling is far too little per empanada. The pictures kind of show how small they are, but they still were much smaller than I thought - and definitely much smaller than any empanada I've had in Houston. 3 or 4 are needed to fill me up. Okay, so I happen to pass this new spot 2 weeks ago and today ventured back. PHENOMENAL. I am very cultured and so I was crossing my fingers while ordering. Came upstairs and shared with my coworker and we both came out the office at the same time and said OMG THAT WAS DELICIOUS. Every bite was superb. I had the following: Bacon & Dates-The best! Not everyone knows how to combine bacon and dates without it turning puget in your mouth. This one was to die for. A perfect amount of Bacon against the sweet date. All I was missing was some wine. Ahhhhh bliss. Nutella & Banana- Very good. The banana did not over power the Nutella and vice versa. Chorizo, Black bean & Egg-I added Chimichurri to it and it was PERFECT. The chorizo was not greasy or overpowering. Would have preferred a hint of spice just a tad, but all in all perfecto. Lastly THE EMPANADA DOUGH WAS FULLY COOKED and crispy brown. I really did not find ONE THING wrong and I so wish they were in my area! Not sure if Argentinian or Uruguayan (Similar accents), but it either way kudos to whomever came up with this place for small bites. Trully glad I shared because I am full. GO OF YOU CAN!!!!!! The food is great, the sauces are great and all is visually pleasing from the food to the natural wood decor. There are only four seats. It's not really made for a sit down place so much even though I was eating by myself today and did sit and eat in. I found it relaxing even in the small space. I will be back. read more

Nom nom nom good. First tried this in Chicago so I was pleasantly surprised to find one in the tunnels of houston downtown. I've had the spinach, the dates, the onion; almost all flavors. They are all really good just get the one that mirrors your taste buds and branch off from there. That was my strategy and I'm glad I did because I discovered that the dates one was more of a dessert empanada. The empanadas taste professionally homemade with not too much breading and just enough filling. You can be full with three, which I believe is an option for their lunch menu (ie get 2 or get 3 plus chips and drink).
