Last night we decided to check out 63 corks with our friends for fun night out. Located in Strasburg, OH it is amazing that this place is hidden down here and not booked months out. This was such an amazing food experience, I cannot wait to come back. I don't know what it's been about Ohio recently, but some of these restaurants out in the middle of nowhere off the beaten path have been outstanding and kicking the pants off of any restaurants in the cities. I had a BBQ apricot duck breast served over something I couldn't remember other than it was some of the most amazing sides that I've ever had. The calamari had a fantastic twist with some fried green tomatoes and seasonal vegetables to accompany it. The cheesecake, well I think we wanted to order two of them just because the first one was so amazing. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and they treated you like you were a part of the community. The atmosphere felt like you're in a relatively high end restaurant, but with the small town hospitality that is rare anymore. I definitely plan on being back here often.

I've dined in restaurants all over the world and this place punches wayyyyy above its weight class. It's a definite must on the culinary scene! Service and food was 5star!

Outstanding. This is NOW my favorite restaurant in the State of Ohio. This was a last minute decision to dine at 63 Corks by my wife. It was a Friday evening and my wife hit the jack pot. She made reservations and that began our journey to this culinary institution. Outstanding. We arrived in an area that I already knew but I had no idea what I have been passing for 5 years. 63 Corks won't impress you from the outside. It looks like a house. As we walked in, we were warmly greeted and it took only took a minute to get our table ready. It was a table for two at the entry so we had a cool draft all evening. Yes this place is small and it was packed. Nevertheless we had our two seats and a intimate table by the wall. Prior to being seated, a waitress walked past us with the MOST gorgeous display of culinary perfection that I have seen in the state of Ohio. It was a steak of epic proportions and plated unlike anything I have seen since I have lived here for 5 years. At that point, the smell and the imagery already assured me that this experience was going to be Outstanding. We were warmly greeted again but by our server this time. She brought us 2 glasses and a clear glass carafe of ice water. She asked for our drinks and she guided me through my beer selections like a champ. I started with the Saucy Brea Works "What's his Nuts" Stout Beer which had a 7.5 ABV. OUTSTANDING: This local Cleveland beer came packed. It had a deep strong chocolate and caramel front along with a Peanut Butter strong finish. This chilled glass adult treat was served at about 33 - 34 degrees and was devoured quickly. Our appetizers or beginnings arrived: Autumn Meatballs (Elk & Wagyu) which my wife loved and nearly licked the bowl. I really wasn't a fan, but the Elk part messed with my judgement of a well executed dish. That's just me and didn't sway my impressions. My Appalachian Fried Rangoon Mozzarella was awesome, but surprised me when it came out as I was expecting small little Rangoon and they came out Eggroll size. OUTSTANDING. I then opted to try another Saucy brew, this time it was a "Love you By" at 8.5 ABV. OUTSTANDING Our main entrees arrived. My wife went for a Filet Mignon as the previous steak that passed us swayed her judgement. She loved it. I ordered the Ribeye Fried PorkChop and it was OUTSTANDING and I have never tried something like this before. It was accompanied with Beets which I hate. Guess What? OUTSTANDING. They were pickled or something but everything g that they make here is from scratch even the butter. This is a farm to table location and they even recognize their local farmers on the back page. I was too full for dessert but took half of my main meal home which was equally appreciated then next day. My wife took 1/4 of her meal home as she REALLY liked her meal. We both LOVED our meal and have told my staff, my local dry cleaners and neighbor about 63 Corks. In my opinion this isn't an option. You MUST try. You will find the best plated meals that you she ever seen. You will find very complex dishes that you will have a difficult time trying to make on your own. You will find local vegetables that looked like somebody just pulled them out of the ground, washed them off and sprinkled "YUMMY" dust on them. The service was OUTSTANDING. Even people that weren't taking care of us asked how our meal was. Because of this and the fact that the menu constantly changes will bring me back and everyone that I know will be told to go as well. OUTSTANDING OUTSTANDING OUTSTANDING

There are very few places I go, where I'm almost 100% confident my meal will be out of this world. 63 Corks is one of those places. Just visited for a fifth or sixth time, and decided to finally crank out a review. Stopped in on a Saturday night, and the place was hopping. Was there for my birthday, so they seated us at the Chef's table when they found out. Didn't request it, so getting it was a really nice surprise! For starters we did a glass of cab (9/10), and one of their house whiskey cocktails with Buffalo Trace, an apple slice, cinnamon stick, simple syrup and bitters (8/10). Like a slightly spiced Old Fashioned. We also ordered the "Ohio Hot" Fall Calamari ($16). It was Crisp Porcini Mushroom Dusted Calamari, Roasted Butternut & Sweet Potato Hash, Pumpkin Seed Chili Crisp, with Maple Hot Honey. What a symphony of flavor. The calamari was crispy and lightly battered, with good seasoning and crunch. The hash and chili crisp were the perfect compliment. The maple hot honey gave it a hint of sweet, with more than a hint of spicy. One of the better starters I've ever had (9.5/10). For mains we had the Appalachian Wagyu Beef Cheeks ($38), and the Autumn Duck Breast ($36). The beef came with Apple & brandy braised wagyu beef cheeks, smoked whipped potatoes, sweet & sour root vegetables, and crisp parsnips, with a red-eye demi-glace. The beef was the most tender I've ever had in a dish like this. No knife needed. Just fell apart and melted. The whipped potatoes gave a nice balance, and the crisp parsnips had just enough starch and crunch to tie everything together perfectly (8.5/10). The second main featured a Smoked maple seared hudson valley duck breast (medium rare), sweet potato & duck confit farro, wilted fall greens & candied turnips, and apple chutney, with pomegranate glaze. I'd never had farro before. It's a whole grain wheat, kind of similar in look to barley, but tastes more nutty. With sweet potato chunks and duck confit mixed in, it was absolutely *phenomenal*. The turnips, which I wasn't looking forward to, were also somehow delicious. Chef is a magician back there. The duck was cooked perfectly, with the fat still in tact. Really happy with this decision (9.5/10). Weren't going to get dessert, but the pastry chef we'd been seated in front of all night talked us into the Chocolate Mocha Crème Brûlée ($11). Thank god he did, because, wow. I've had a lot of traditional crème brûlée in my day. My first venture into chocolate was unreal. Caramelized sugar on top of a downright decadent chocolate custard with just the right amount of espresso flavoring. Topped with house made whip and two chocolates shaped into "coffee beans". Couldn't have asked for a better end to an outstanding birthday dinner. Service has always been top notch. It's fine dining, but the servers feel like family. It's never felt stuffy or sterile, which some "fine dining" tends to do. If you're anywhere in northeast, or even east central, Ohio; "63 Corks" is worth the drive. You don't want to miss this place. Trust me.

Wagyu beef tips

The service and food were fantastic. I'm gluten- and dairy-free, and our server went out of their way to review the menu with me and point out dishes I could enjoy. My husband, who doesn't have dietary restrictions, loved his meal as well. The food was incredibly fresh, unique, and clearly made with care. The whole experience felt like a true labor of love. Our server was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even better. The lighting created a moody, intimate atmosphere that made the evening feel special. Such a lovely addition to our community. Can't wait to come back!

First time here and we will be back. Positives: Super friendly staff! Our server Sally was great, very attentive, personable, and answered all questions. The dining room was intimate and included a view of the kitchen - michelin vibes getting to peek into the inner sanctum. The scallops were succulent and melted in your mouth. The trout saltimbucca was an complex blend of flavor and texture that made for a great dish. The seabass was perfectly crispy on the outside snd moist on the inside. Served on a bed of celery root mash, it made for a very tasty combo. Chef Nate personally recommended wine pairings that complimented each meal. Additionally the smoked S'mores dessert was amazing and came with a delicious hot white chocolate drink. Cons: The calamari while had a great flavor had some pieces that were super crispy and had a burnt onion ring feel. The soft pieces were amazing and if that was the majority of the dish it would have been perfect. Definitely recommend for a romantic date night or special occasion.

14oz 9185 Pork Chop.... DELICIOUS

Wife and I were Lucky to get in this gem of a place ! We Heard about it in the afternoon and called until Ashley answered and explained they were pretty full but we could sit on the patio at 6:30. For future visits I will Be sure to call well in advance. Started with caprese beet salad with heirloom tomatoes. Light and flavorful. Many other appetizers to chooses from when we return. We chose a petit Syrah from McManis to pair with our dinner choices. I heard an adjacent table ask if they had anything they were "known" for; the server said no, but I have to believe going forward the 9185 pork chop dish will get consideration. Hands down best double pork chop I ever have had or possibly will have ! Perfect preparation and accompanied with wax beans and fingerling potatoes. My wife enjoyed her chicken breast over smoked mashed potatoes. We split a piece of the Bourbon Carmel Cheesecake to finish the evening. Ashley took fantastic care of us and I recommend asking for her when you visit. She's was knowledgeable and just the right amount of attentive. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

NY Strip with whipped potatoes and mushroom & onions

Our first time but definitely won't be our last. The food and service were top notch. Our server, Megan B was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a NY strip cooked perfectly (medium rare). Smoked whipped potatoes and mushroom and onions were delicious. Also had the pork and peaches. Pork was so tender and flavorful. Cheese cake with turtle topping...yum! This is a hidden gem that I highly recommend!!

Meal: Bread Service, Winter Scallops, Bourbon Caramel Cheesecake Drink: Stella Rosa Red Timeframe: Dinner (reservation) I visited 63 corks with my best friend for our Christmas gift exchange. We had both been before but this is my first yelp review. The ambiance is wonderful, it's cozy, warm and inviting. I love the decor, very elegant with the fireplaces and I loved the seasonal decor. Our service was wonderful, both servers we had were attentive, funny and personable. The bread service was okay, ours was a little toasty for my liking but still tasted light and fluffy. The butter was awesome! My scallops were also a great meal as a whole bite! Dessert, as usual, was the favorite part of my experience, the cheesecake filing was creamy, the caramel sauce did have a hint of bourbon and the crust was tasty with what I think was pecans. Overall, I'd love to visit again, although might be a seasonal trip as it can be a little pricy!

Service was amazing as always, and we never had to ask for anything. We tried a few appetizers: calamari, bacon, truffle fries and salads. Everything was delicious, the calamari was especially perfectly light and crispy with cherry peppers. Chef's kiss! All our steaks and sides were cooked perfectly, though we felt the steaks could have been seasoned more. We had filets and a strip. Sides were all delicious: mashed, truffle fries, creamed spinach, and Brussels sprouts. Will definitely return to this location if I'm in the area again

Unfortunately, it just does not feel like the same place anymore. First, the addition of high tops really changes the atmosphere. What once felt upscale and classic now leans more "sports bar with expensive steaks." Maybe that is just me, but part of the appeal was the elegance and experience. Then came the steaks. We ordered three expensive steaks medium, and before they even came out, the waiter realized the kitchen heard "well done." We politely asked for it to be corrected before the food hit the table. Somehow, one still arrived well done anyway. Thankfully, someone at the table took one for the team and ate it, but when dinner runs around $600, you hope the steaks and the temperatures are both memorable for the right reasons. At one point, a side dish was dropped on the floor. Accidents happen, no big deal. But we did have to gently clarify that yes, we would still like the dish... just preferably not the "farm to floor" version. The disappointing part is that I had promised a fantastic worker and his amazing wife a really special night out. This unfortunately was not it. I genuinely hope this was just an off night, because this place used to set the standard. For now though, we will probably try another steakhouse next time.

I visited on a weekday afternoon just before the high school up the street let out for the day. I ordered a hazelnut Irish crème latte cold from their March special menu that rivaled any drink from nationwide coffee shops. I didn't get to check the food menu much, but it looked extensive. And the hard served ice cream that a guest got while I was there looked amazing. I enjoyed my cold latte while doing some work. If you need a place to cool down or warm up with a coffee drink and get some work done then I think this place will serve you well. The ambience was comfortable, warm, friendly, and pleasant.
