Great ambiance and service. Both meals were overcooked and the trout was super fishy and not fresh. The vegetables were super overcooked and mushy. The manager took the trout dish out of our bill. I would recommend getting drinks and enjoying the ambiance.

We got reservations for the outdoor patio, and brought our dog. They were quick about seating us and the outdoor space is nice and shaded, still comfortable on a hot day! We got two pasta dishes: - Bolognese: definitely recommend!! It was surprisingly more flavorful than many others I've had in the past. Chicken parmesan: ok not a "pasta" dish, but it comes with pasta. This was good but i felt like the chicken portions were a bit smaller than I'm used to. Overall a good experience. Not a lot of Italian places in Austin so grateful to have this one nearby!

The food at 68 Degrees was just fantastic. The pasta was so fresh and the portions are great. The meal and the service did not disappoint. We look forward to our next visit!

Great place for date night! We had a great time. The service here was excellent. Our server provided great recommendations for wine and entrees. The specials offered were all tempting. There are a number of good entree's to choose from. The wine list is nice as well. We loved the Chianti. The only down side would be the size. There are only a few tables so it can fill up. Can't wait for a Return visit

Special menu: Grilled salmon on top of greens and burrata.

We had a very pleasant dinner here. Our waitress is so friendly and gracious. She really did take care of us well. The meals were scrumptious and portions sizes were perfect for us.

Fantastic service and ambiance. Available parking out front and on side of building. The food was fresh and tasty. We arrived during happy hour, so we able to take advantage of the $2 discount on apps. Excited to return and try other items of their menu.

Was looking forward to our reservations here but unfortunately the food was bland. We got the bolognese and the fettuccine and neither had much flavor. The wine options they had were good but we just wish the food had something more too it.

Went to 68 Degrees for the first time with friends and we had a great time. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and OMG the food was amazing! Definitely going to be returning soon.

We made a 7:30 reservation for 3 people for an outdoor table -- we had to wait over 40 minutes. Only about 30 mins in did the host tell the table that they had a reservation waiting. Maybe a good idea to add that into the reservations? The host said this happened all the time. We tried the below: - calamari - delish! - penne with sausage - the sausage was not very good, super basic and not flavorful at alll. The sauce was very good and made up for it! - bolognese - it was very bland and watery. I asked for extra meat and tomato sauce and put a ton of red pepper flakes to have more taste. - desserts were amazing and would definitely get again! It was for a bday so nothing was comped despite the wait as well...a bit annoying Overall, not sure I loved anything enough to really go back. A cool new neighborhood spot though!

Chef added a little something for my daughters birthday!

Best Italian in Texas. Hands down. Everything is balanced and made fresh. Unreal experience.

I've been here once a few years ago, and all I remember is that they serve amazing tiramisu. Years later, I came more recently with my friend, and we had a second dinner here. The pasta we ordered was really yummy, and we also loved the panna cotta. Service was great, and the ambience of the restaurant is really nice too. I highly recommend! Their menu isn't very extensive, but you're bound to find an option you'll enjoy.

This restaurant was everything I could of asked for. Probably the best restaurant we tried in all of Austin. I'm from Los Angeles, and have been to many high end and hip restaurants, this was definitely up there with some of the best restaurants. Food: Crab tagliatelle is a must! This dish was delicious and everything you can ask for from a pasta. Gnocchi special with Peas and Asperagus is a must. This creamy and feather light dish was packed with so much flavour. Lobster scalloping was very good as well and so was the filet mignon. But best of all were the side of carrots, pear and endive salad and the Cho salad. Who would have thought an Italian red sauce joint would go straight to my top tier Austin recs?…read more Place is just legendary. Sammie's has been hyped up on social media for a long time and I gotta say it's still underrated! I will gladly have Sammie's take the Pepsi challenge against red sauce joints in NYC/NJ etc. In fact, I've told friends and family that I am going to take them to Sammie's when they visit from there. We just had such a fantastic experience - everything..the vibe..the red light fixtures and the color of the booths and the floor..the service - our server was great..loved their outfits..really had an old school little italy feel to it. The food was much better than I even anticipated - as a guy who grew up on NJ diner mozzarella sticks, I have a high bar for them and these were magnificent. And seriously...taking the "everything's bigger in Texas" slogan and applying them to mozzarella sticks?! top 10 achievements of the decade. The chicken parm was perfect - well seasoned, proper amount of crisp..the basil on top...the perfect browning of the cheese. Also the lasanga was excellent..and best part - the leftovers..took it home and the next two days put them in a small cast iron and re-heated them..and the magic was right there in my hill country kitchen! Lastly and certainly not least - the cannoli...just look at the photo below.. I'll say, yes, the place is pricey but you can really easily split these entrees and then it becomes cheaper than a jersey strip center Italian joint. I haven't stopped raving about Sammie's since I've been there, and I cannot wait to return, recommend it, and take friends and family that visit.

I have never been a fan of Negronis but the one at Sammie's changed my life! I order them everywhere I go now searching for that Sammie's Negroni high but nothing comes close to it. The food was EPIC! Take a look at my pics everything we ordered was prepared to perfection but I still dream about the veal which took the whole table to devour. Also the Caesar Salad was .

Never heard of this place but got a coupon in the mail for a buy one lunch, get a free lunch…read more Decided to try it as I'm always looking for decent Italian food. As it turns out the coupon was only good during the week and it was Saturday. No big deal. I ordered a Meatball Sandwich, my friend an Italian Sandwich (after asking our excellent young waitress about it). She brought out two very tasty types of bread with olive oil for dipping. The sandwiches came with Garlic Fries. The Fries were delicious but unfortunately mine were lukewarm. I certainly could have asked for a fresh portion, but was hungry enough not to bother. That's the reason my rating wasn't 5 Star. Because the restaurant was pretty empty on this Saturday afternoon, I feel the Chef shouldn't have sent out fries that weren't piping hot. The Meatball Sandwich however was marvelous. Freshly made, tasty meatballs with sauce and cheese on their focaccia bread was a real treat. I took half home and ate the rest for dinner. All in all, I'd come back here again as the food was excellent as well as the service.
