    Linguine con salmone

Visited for Mother's Day after candle making right next door! This is a hidden gem in Homewood. Great experience. My mother had the lamb chops which are cooked in a flavorful romesco sauce. I had the linguine salmone. I've never tasted a better pasta.

My bestie and I made reservations for dinner for a Friday night.....you know your girl was late....but they were accommodating. The restaurant is located in the lobby of La Banque hotel in Homewood, Il, a south suburb of Chicago. Homewood is really revamping their downtown area adding more shops and restaurants. 69 Prime is a nice addition. Upon entry you notice the details of the design of the restaurant as it's located in a repurposed bank. The kitchen's entry door is like you're walking in a safe. Very nicely decorated, well lit and nice sitting. Bestie ordered Caesar salad and their maple bacon for an appetizer. I ordered the calamari. My appetizer looked amazing but lacked flavor. My friend's Caesar salad was nicely prepared but was small and the bok choy leaves served no purpose. Her bacon was not what she expected. Coming off her high for experiencing a bacon flight at another restaurant, she was somewhat disappointed to find pork belly vs bacon (yes it states pork belly on the menu, but that's neither here nor there lol). For our entrees, I ordered the branzino. Bestie ordered her steak with a loaded baked potato. My branzino looked amazing, excellent presentation but with ok flavor. My bestie likes her steak cooked to the Gods, well done, and it was just that, well done. Loaded baked potato was...ehh. It was loaded with cheese and bits of the same bacon from her appetizer...which is fat mostly. We pregamed so at dinner, bestie ordered a soft drink and I ordered San Pellegrino with fruit. My overall experience is mixed. I didn't care for the food but because of the service, I'll definitely try again. The service was impressive, our server was very attentive and that damn water presentation blew me away lol. I believe it has all the potential to be an excellent fine dining restaurant with some needed tweaking.

We were looking for a steakhouse and this was first up. The kids Alfredo was ordered first and we added shrimp to it. Since it was an Italian steakhouse, the pasta should be good. The Alfredo was excellent and the shrimp were large. The filet was way overcooked. Both of them! I should have had them to make it over, but I didn't. My fault. The Mac and cheese was very cheesy. It was actually way too much cheese. The grilled asparagus were good but they didn't have a grilled flavor. The bartender was our server and she wasn't very attentive because she was also tending to the bar. The restaurant was well decorated. It was connected to a hotel and the smell of the hotel as you entered was not welcoming. I heard other guests complain as well. I was disappointed. But I would definitely return for the Alfredo. My espresso martini was good. It had the restaurant's logo on top of it.

When they open this hotel, they sold it as a premium place to have dinner and stay locally. The hotel has always been very nice. I actually had my daughter's wedding at this hotel when they first opened in the lobby and it was beautiful. - Now to the restaurant it has had some struggles with the Previous restaurants in this location that said this new restaurant is amazing. I love the change, in the decor that they made the staff is much more pleasant and the menu is phenomenal. I was very impressed with everything about the restaurant. Everything seems very fresh. The drinks were great at the service was awesome. I would definitely recommend trying this spot. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Location 5/5 Parking 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Menu 5/5 Return Factor 5/5

This restaurant is a "FINE DINING" home run!" The restaurant. Is tucked inside the lobby of La Banque boutique hotel on Ridge Road, it had been an old bank that was converted to a beautiful hotel. First, the decor is beautiful. Simple. Modern, classic elegance with an appealing subtle color palette. Simply beautiful! The service was outstanding. They were highly attentive and responded to all of our needs quickly and happily in a very friendly, courteous way, Daisy and her team of bus support were unbelievably attentive. If you go on a day that she is there, ask to be seated in her section. Good service with good food has a tendency to take your experience to atmospheric levels! The bread baskets were filled with rustic Italian bread that was so delicious I thought I was at a trattoria in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Instead of butter, the upscale olive oil dip was very authentic. The menu offers a wide variety of choices for everyone that appeals to carnivores and vegetarians alike. Pastas, beef, pork, lamb and seafood. I asked to substitute one starch for another and the chef made it happen! The food was incredibly fresh. My dining companions has the Maple glazed salmon. The other had the lamb chops. Both raved about the freshness of their meals as well as the perfection to which their dishes were cooked! I had the scallops and substituted the starch with Truffle Fries. The theatrics associated with the presentation of my scallops was breathtaking. It was au flambé! They were so fresh and slightly crusted, i'd never tasted anything that delicious before. Even popular and legendary EAST COAST seafood restaurants could learn a lot about the preparation and presentation of scallops. My meal appropriately mixed textures, tangy tartness and sweetness in the veggie dish consisting of chopped zucchini sweet potatoes and spinach. The way that our meals were plated and presented was sheer "ART," worthy of a museum display. It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny! If I were to recommend an enhancement, I'd recommend some soft background music/jazz or a singer and pianist. It's that type of place. We were celebrating a friend's birthday. The presentation was spectacular! I can't wait to dine al fresco when the weather permits!

I came here to get a bite. I hadn't been here since they changed the name. I got the glazed salmon and Caesar salad. My friend got the steak. The salmon was pretty good, not the best, but it hit the spot. My friend loved her steak, said it was super tender and tasty. The vibe is nice, and it's decorated well. The service was good, and my drink was perfect.

Living in the burbs has its perks but it's lacking in really good food and especially fine dining. This place turned out to be a real winner! I've dined in on a date and had delivery and the food is really good. You can taste the quality of ingredients and the attention to cooking preparation. The crab cakes are meaty and worth the price I just wish the sauces came on the side. If you love bread like I do take some to go, the bread and oil is fantastic! Lobster mac was good portion size and plenty lobster, cheesy enough too! Salads were fresh and the dine in service was attentive and courteous. Everything was neat, clean, and nicely decorated. If you're looking for a nice dinner stop by!

This review is coming from day one of opening. Met Rich the manager, very personable. They did a refresh to the interior from the previous restaurant, very nice. The scallops were aflame coming to the table. Great presentation and delicious! I had the wagyu with garlic herb butter cooked to my liking. Branzino was also good. We had the spinach and asparagus as the sides and they were wonderful. Drinks were a little slow but good. The bathrooms are downstairs but there is an elevator if needed. Plenty of parking in the rear and perhaps they will offer valet but I didn't ask. Enjoy!

The chop was huge and I can barely finish it! Also ordered a drink called the grand cognac it was pretty decent. Our server named was Tanaya. She was great! Made personal suggestions of her faves and took great care of us. Keep my cup filled and plenty napkins. Haha! Seemed small but even the smallest things makes a difference. The place seemed hip and very known. They had regulars they came and left and it was just a nice little vibe. What they did have is pretty good burgers, onion rings, drinks, karaoke, trivia and hookah??? Yeah the place had a lot going on and the basement area is clearly used for a club like vibe. The prices are steep for the area but I can see with all they are offering they are tying to balance a lot.

My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

Since I was solo, I sat at the bar. I wanted to start with spinach artichoke dip. There was none. So, I ordered carrot and black bean tacos. The tacos were a good backup. Those who lean towards vegetarian would like them. I must say that I was expecting some heat from the jalapeños. For my main dish, I had the shrimp and grits. It took a few swallows before the flavor kicked in. The sauce was tasty, but was maybe a notch above mildly seasoned. I have a feeling that the tomatoes in the recipe added a little acidity. With the addition of spinach, this dish landed in gourmet territory. From what I gather, the restaurant has been under new management for a few years. It feels like they are working out kinks. I will give them a few months before I try them again.

I'm not really gonna talk about the ambience, because for me it wasn't there, but that is not the basis of my scoring. The old-fashioned made by our waiter was good, excellent, perfect. We wanted a margarita, but they let us know that they did not have the materials needed to make it. They also did not have the ingredients to make a few starters and entrées on the menu so their limited menu became even more limited. The food, we ordered crabcakes, and a colossal honey glazed shrimp. The crabcakes came out and they were flat, they looked like what was supposed to be one crabcake broken into three. The shrimp came out and instead of having colossal shrimp we had small shrimp, maybe even baby shrimp. We addressed the concern with the shrimp and they said they're not going to charge us for it. With our pasta came a side salad, the salad and the salad dressing, which was a lemon vinaigrette, was good. When we received the pasta, there was only four pieces of sausage, the chicken was unseasoned and the sauce was cheese sauce with hot sauce added, no other seasoning. Nothing about the pasta was Nola.
