Someone did a hit and run on my car at this location, in their tiny parking lot, and the management at this store didn't even try to help me. I'm sure they had video of the person-the cameras directly faced the store! A young girl who was the manager named Marilyn, gave me her number to follow up, then ghosted me, never responded to my messages or any updates on why I couldn't obtain security camera footage. I wish I fought harder to demand seeing the tapes with my police report. Employees told me cars get hit in their parking lot all the time. In short, I'll never drive into or step foot at this 7/11 again and am disappointed in the lack of care from their management staff. read more

After grabbing some food from one of the "restaurants" also located in this shopping center, I made a last minute suggestion to grab some sodas from 7-Eleven. The selection and prices are surely better, right? Right! So where does it go wrong? Well, after taking a tour of the cold case and scoping out all the fresh flavors I was more drawn to the fountain drinks. With more bang for your buck and the classic flavors being offered there's no reason why pouring from the fountain wasn't a better option, until it wasn't. After pouring two big-ass drinks I searched frantically for the lids for at least a minute. I looked up, I looked down, I looked to the left, the right, and finally asked the cashier who detailed that he'd give me the lids - relief! I paid, lids were issued, I walked out, and the adventure began. Soda was splashing every way possible as I realized I hadn't put the lids on securely enough. I stopped to adjust and got the drinks to my car where things only got worse. Once driving the vibration shook the lids loose and a major mess was the end result... but why? Was it my fault? No! Turns out, the lids provided to me aren't lids made for their drinks but rather generic lids that didn't quite fit, never sealed tightly, and ultimately left me wiping stick soda from my seats. Somewhere on our long drive to San Diego Zoo, I had realized that I forgot our souvenir refillable Zoo cups, so I thought that I'd check with Siri on my iPhone as to where the closest convenience store would be to stock up on some economically priced cold drinks and possibly some snacks before entering the Zoo. Preferably a 7-Eleven rather than dealing with a large parking lot, store and long lines. This location was conveniently located off of El Cajon Boulevard in an old strip mall not so far from where we were. At first glance, this seemed to be your usual 7-Eleven convenience store generally selling your typical food items, snacks, drinks and other everyday essentials such as band aids, magazines, toothbrush and toothpastes, and some over the counter medication. Sadly the area including the store seemed a little grungy and dirty for my tastes, so I can't say that I'll be coming back any time soon. Service I brought in a couple of lottery tickets that were winners one for 5$ one for 20$ the clerk cashed out the 5$ ticket and cashes the 20$ ticket he messes with the printer and the other clerk fumbles with it also they can't get it to work and try and scan the ticket at the kiosk and the guy says this ticket is no good I'm like wtf you just cashed it out and it's my fault that you made your system go down he then tries tongive me back the ticket and says take it somewhere else I'm like no buddy you cashed the ticket out so now this happened at 7 pm he and the other clerk are come back at 8 my manager will give you the money I'm like so your trying to say that I'm the one who is trying to screw 7-11 but it's you both incompetent people just trying to rip people off and it's ok. With that being said stay away from this 7-11 unless you want to get screwed over by thieves. Keep the 20$ karma charges triple and I hope to I see it too. Every time they have a special like 99 cent ice coffee or hot chocolate. They are out the entire time. Now they have a special 2 king size Hershey for 4.50 well they ring up almost 6 I asked the guy to go look at the sign and said he couldn't do anything anyway because that's the price they are ringing up as. Lazy and price gouging. It's 2 blocks away from me but I'll be walking a extra 2 blocks to the liquor store on El Cajon they have better prices. I'd give zero stars if I could read more

Today is 7/11 so it's free slurpee day! The staff here is really friendly. Cute display for the free drink. They have a big selection of snacks and drinks with cheap prices. My biggest complaint for this location is the parking lot! It's horrible! Really small parking spots in a small lot. read more

I only go to this 7-11 ocassionally, as its not really on my route to anywhere except maybe taco bell or red fox room. I agree with Anna that its really poorly stocked and I understand the "laws" well, at least now that I am in Yelp jail I understand them better, but I'm old enough to have a child thats old enough to smoke, gimme my dang cigarettes you pimply faced little fart! I used to stop here every morning on my way to work, just because it was convenient and on the way. The morning guy was never friendly, and often times I would be waiting at the counter, the only customer in there, and he would take his time finishing up what he was doing elsewhere in the store, lolly-gagging before he finally would come ring me up. I often was tempted to walk out without paying, it took so long. And he would see me when I walked in, not to mention being alerted by the door alarm. When the bums that are usually out front during the day started appearing at 6 AM, I decided to give up, and get lower quality coffee at work, or pay more at Starbucks. Seriously folks, there are beggars, often drunk or on drugs, in front of this place ALL THE TIME. It's a shame because this place is convenient for so many of my driving duties. I would rather go out of my way to the place on 30th and Meade. I have gone into this place in the afternoon too and had negative experiences, and the girl that was the cashier was on the phone the whole time and rang me up incorrectly. I see the owner/manager in there quite often, so I know he cares, but does he care enough. I guess that his business is steady enough for him not to. As far as seven eleven goes, I think this one is pretty large! It has all your basic seven eleven needs ... and it's clean! I go to seven eleven pretty much for coffee every morning. The coffee is always fresh and super cheap. The only thing that this seven eleven is missing are the coffee cups that you can buy and reuse... at least when i stopped by they only had the large coffee travel jug things...and those don't fit well in cup holders. Anyway, the other great part about this seven eleven is that there is a RedBox DVD rental outside! And plenty of parking! read more

The black and gray haired middle eastern cashier who use to have a pony tail but ciut if off now is THE WORST!! He closes the shop to take cigarette breaks not to use the bathroom when he is alone, for a damn cigarette. And being there is a coin shortage and I am a customer who goes there EVERYDAY he still gives me shit for not having exact change or to pay with a debit card that I don't even have. The kicker is, I went in today and the credit card system was down, so how many people ACTUALLY have EXACT change? That guy totally sucks at customer service and I don't know how he works there still, for over two years I've seen him working there since I moved to this neighborhood. I love this 7-11. Everyone is super friendly. I mostly visit in the mornings. The store is super clean and they keep the coffee pots full all the time. I love the coffee area. I like the fact that I can get in and out of here pretty quickly. Besides my usual stop for coffee I've also gone to the store to use the ATM, get a bday card and some lotto tickets. Once, I saw a girl come in and complain about the flavor of her ice-coffee, the owner immediately went to check the machine, found there was a mistake and replaced the coffee. Customer left happy and I always do too. read more

Never coming back here again. I went there today to purchase a Monster energy drink. There was a stack display of Monster drinks somewhat near the front counter. There was also a big sign on the stack of Monsters that very clearly stated 2 for $4. I was only going to purchase one can, but decided to grab two since it was a good deal. When the girl rang me up, they came up as $2.67 each. I pointed out the sign and then walked her over so she could take a good look. She apologized and said that she would call her manager over so he could override the price and honor the 2 for $4. So she calls him over (he was stocking shelves) and tells him what happened. So what does he do? He tells me that he cannot honor the price because the promotion is over. I asked him why the sign is still very clearly up on the display. He said that he would take it down. I told him never mind and walked out of there without purchasing anything. Not good business sense if you ask me. read more

I used to actually like this 7-Eleven location. The couple that own it are reasonably friendly and seem to be there 24/7. The gentleman's name is Dilbag according to his name tag, but I don't recall the name of his wife. Tonight I stopped in to pick up some milk and happened to walk by the potato chip section. There was a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" sign attached to the shelf in front of the Lay's potato chips. That's a pretty good deal so I grabbed 2 bags and headed to the register. Dilbag rang up the milk and 2 bags of chips all at full price. I reminded him that the chips are "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" and therefore I should only be paying for one bag. He refused to acknowledge what I was telling him (or perhaps didn't comprehend what I was trying to tell him) so I took him to the chip aisle and showed him the fairly large, bright blue and yellow "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" sign with the picture of Lay's potato chips on it. Dilbag absolutely flat out refused to honor the advertised sale price claiming that it was because there was no more product on the shelf. "Well Dilbag, there is no more product on the shelf because I have the last two bags of the product at your register!" He still would not budge and give in to his ridiculous oversight so I left the store sans chips and incredibly frustrated. This is not the first time at this 7-Eleven that I have experienced advertised prices differing from register prices... and the resulting disagreements... but you can be absolutely sure that this was my last time because I won't be returning to Dilbag's 7-Eleven. read more
