Seriously, don't do it, or else it will be a long wait! This 7 Leaves location is close to Garfield Ave and across from the Edwards movie theatre parking lot. The entry and exit is so narrow. Just be careful coming in and exiting the driveway. Staff is pretty friendly and makes their drinks pretty quick. Inside there are tables for you to stay and work or just hang with friends. It's a nice cozy atmosphere. If you're looking for some caffeine the House Coffee and Black & Tan are the perfect pair. If it's spring and summer time, the Hibiscus drinks are super refreshing. Pretty solid place to get boba in the SGV. There's even a drive-through with quite a few cars. I ordered a drink from the app, and it was pretty fast. I also appreciate that there are dairy alternatives like soy and oat milk. I ordered the Matcha Soy Tea with an Oat Milk substitute, which I upsized and it was pretty good. I also ordered it with easy ice and sweetness. They were generous with the boba and pudding, which I also appreciated. :: Drinks :: Surprisingly do not see a lot of reviews for their Mint Sereno! It's pretty good, it's similar to Philz Coffee's Iced Mint Mojito. The mint flavor is not super strong, which I like, despite seeing all the mint on the bottom of the cup. If only they had it in a larger cup lol Their Oolong Milk Tea was not as creamy as I'd like, but still good nonetheless. :: Service :: I like how they're open early compared to other boba shops that open at noon. The drinks are actually pretty good and there's a variety of different flavors. I like that the drinks are not brightly colored looking like some artificial crayon of a drink. I ordered the taro milk tea and the purple was very subtle - not like the bright purple drinks you usually see. The drink was delicious with the right amount of taste and sweetness. The parking lot can be kind of a mess. If you back up too fast, you might hit a car waiting in drive through so be careful about that. read more

The interior of the Alhambra store is quite modern and minimal -- definitely a great study spot if you're looking for a cafe to grind. Service is fast from my experience and there's even a drive-thru so you don't have to leave your car. HOUSE COFFEE -- An absolute must-try if you're a coffee addict!! The strong taste of coffee, paired with the sweet hazelnut cream and slightly salty sea cream foam makes for a flavor profile that keeps you coming back for more. Pro tip: I personally order mine with easy sweetness for a stronger coffee flavor. BLACK & TAN (SECRET MENU ITEM) -- I started getting this recently and it's quickly become one of my favorite drinks here!! If you like their Jasmine Milk Tea and House Coffee by themselves, you'll definitely like this drink because it's a mix of both. Few years back, probably prior to the pandemic, I would've said this was one of the best boba places ever. It was heavy on the tea flavor where my best friend didn't like it due to the higher tea ratio. There's the right amount of sweetness and ice level to each person's liking. The boba amount is also not too much or too little. Perfecttttt! This place is always busy, but the fast service and drive-thru makes it easy and quick to get your drinks. It's also open into 11pm, which is nice when you want late night tea! Seating might be a little hard though since it is busy and a small space. I mostly come to 7Leaves for their House Coffee, which is so flavorful, though I'll go with the Vietnamese Coffee for more strength. If you're a fan of Philz Mint Mojito, try 7Leaves Mint Sereno. My favorite drink is the jasmine sea cream tea or if I want to be extremely caffeinated, it would be the house coffee. Pro tip - if you want to be super caffeinated, you can get up to 6 shots of espresso for no additional cost. There are options for easy ice and easy sweet but the easy sweet option probably just means they add additional milk/half & half. You probably won't go wrong with any drink you decide to order because they are all so good! They also have multiple locations which have free wifi and seating if you want to study/do work. I definitely recommend the new thai green tea to anyone who loves jasmine tea. It's like jasmine milk tea, but with an extra oomph. As a person without a sweet tooth, I did get tired of it in the end and needed the Vietnamese coffee to balance it out. I've always liked this location as well. 7 Leaves always hits the spot when it's a hot summer day or you're just craving boba drinks. I've tried most of their drinks and my favorites are Japanese Matcha Soy, Assam Milk Tea and Thai Tea! Location: By N Garfield Ave and Elgin St, the location is a bit odd because, if you're coming from N Garfield Ave, you would have to U-Turn near the next intersection or just straight up turn left into the establishment. Problem is, there is a lot of traffic and you can't turn left on Elgin St. Parking: Decent size although somewhat difficult to get in if it's packed. Plus, if you're coming from N Garfield Ave, you would need to either U-Turn or turn in if there isn't any traffic to reach the parking lot. Service: Always been great! Workers are very friendly and I couldn't recall a dull moment besides a couple times where the cup sealers wouldn't seal and they would put a regular lid on it. Problem with that is, drinks would still leak out from the seal. Haven't experienced that issue lately. 7 Leaves App: Yes! 7 Leaves has an app replacing the old stamp cards that they used to do many moons ago. The app is user interface friendly and very responsive. You can order ahead of time or if you're at the drive-thru or inside make sure you let them scan your QR Code for points! You earn 1 leaf points per dollar. You can redeem for free drinks ranging from 55 leaves to 70 leaves. *Pro-Tip, if you do redeem the drinks, get your money's worth by adding toppings into it for free* Drinks: My two favorite are Japanese Matcha Soy and Thai Tea. Boba is pretty good too however, I did find it a bit too sweet. I have tried their other drinks as well but, I didn't find them really good just okay. Verdict: Love 7 Leaves and will continue to go here. Only cons that I have are the location and some of the other drinks I find not amazingly good. Same thing 75% of the cup was filled with Ice. I hate to write a bad review, because don't get me wrong the place is great and has great tasting drinks. but ... come on. I know most people understand how much ice fills up the cup and how much of the drink you actually get (or I hope most do). So I think it boils down to the people who make the drink (not the ones who take your order). Tips: download the app and earn points for free rewards Drinks: they do pack a lot of ice in their drinks so I would recommend to ask for less ice Vietnamese coffee: they're popular for their Vietnamese coffee which is slightly strong, not too bitter and sweet at the same time. It's rich in flavor and has a a very refreshing taste/smell that almost reminds me of the Lee's sandwich coffee Mung bean: this is one of my favorites as not many boba/drink shops sell these unless you were at a Vietnamese restaurant. It's also more of a "cooling" drink Sea cream jasmine tea: my friend introduced me to this and got me hooked! Make sure to shake up the drink. If you are looking for something light and not a milk tea base drink this would be a good option. It's a light drink that is very refreshing and quality is on the spot! The sea cream after shaking makes it look like a milk tea but in reality it's just jasmine tea. Overall I don't think you can go wrong with any of the drinks. 7 Leaves has become my go-to spot for drinks/teas/coffees. I just love every drink they make - you can't go wrong here. It gets busy but can you blame them?! Everything here is FIRE. And there is a drive thru so just in case you wanted a tasty beverage but too lazy to exit your car well there ya go. Although I will say there is an even better hack cause the drive-thru sometimes gets packed and that is to order through their App. I usually will order through the app (I am guilty of getting 3-4 drinks at a time) and just parking and walking in and grabbing them. Also, if you use the app you earn pts which turns into free drinks before ya know it. As for the drinks, like I said I love everything. If I had to pick a list of my favorites it would be Strawberry Sunset (secret menu item), Sunset Passion, Mung Bean Milk Tea, Strawberry Hibiscus and well I do enjoy their Vietnamese Coffee as well. We came here on the recommendation of a friend and it was a great recommendation. I love that they open early. Most boba shops don't open until lunch, but the only reason we were able to stop by is because they opened early in the morning. Based on our friends recommendation, we got the Mung Bean Milk Tea with Aloe Vera. It was one of the most unique drinks I've had. What can I say, I'm a big fan of 7 leaves! I've tried the locations near Artesia and Cypress and it never disappoints. My go-to is always the Assam milk tea. Good tea flavors and chewy boba, need I say more? My friend tried the taro. Usually not something I gravitate towards, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the drink. It had chunks of taro in it and no artificial taste. Would recommend if you're a taro fan. This particular 7 leaves has some inside sitting for people to talk and work as well as a drive through. It can be easy to miss though because it's kind of small and in between two buildings. Regardless, I have no doubt I'll visit again soon! read more

Ordered 3 drinks early Friday morning - One large (upsize) and two regular size, but received all regular size. Didn't notice until I drove away. Called immediately to get my $0.75 refund for the upsize. Tbh, I rather have the larger size than the refund, but I was already at work. I've asked the guy who picked up the phone if the refund will be issued back to my credit card since I ordered through the app and he said, "yeah if you paid by credit card on the app". It has been more than 3 days, still didn't get my refund. Not happy that they messed up my drink, but since they were willing to refund, I was okay with it. But now that I didn't receive my refund, then it's not okay. It not about the money coz it's only $0.75. It's about the principle and doing the right thing. read more

I won't lie - waiting in the drive through got me ready for nothing more than a 3 star review, hoping the drinks would make up for the long wait. With only one car in front of us, it took quite a while. However, the moment that car left and we pulled up to the window, we were greeted and given an apology by the sweetest worker at the window so although we weren't mad about the wait, anyone who was mad and encountered her should have their emotions completely flipped around! We ordered two drinks today - the house coffee and thai tea, both regular size and light ice. We were surprised to see the "regular" size being 20oz as that's the perfect size for boba drinks! And they definitely followed our request for light ice. The house coffee is essentially their Vietnamese coffee with the foam on top. I don't think the foam made a world of difference but the coffee itself was SO.GOOD. Smooth, great coffee taste, roasted so nicely, and just the right sweetness to balance the coffee out. The Thai tea was also phenomenal. Not sweet, tangy, and a perfect balance of the richness from the milk to the tea flavors. I wish they had more locations closer to me but I'll make sure to find some on my trips to the OC and SGV! read more
