    Cevapi and fries

Came here for my second time with a friend for the delicious cevapi, fries, and HOMEMADE PITA?! Absolutely packed on a rainy Fall Saturday night and for good reason. This family owned business is pumping out fresh, hot, delicious food, Turkish coffee, and mind blowing desserts. Come here for good food. Now!

Food so good that you'll forget to stop. Great family atmosphere. Super good service. Could not ask for more.

It's great to have a Bosnian restaurant in Vancouver. There was one I really enjoyed but they closed down, now we have this one and the food is great! The waitress was also the owner, she was so sweet and upbeat. The restaurant lighting is a bit darker but makes the restaurant feel fair intimate, it would be a great spot to go on dates, eat with friends or even bring family. This restaurant has a lot of meat options and pretty much no vegetarian options besides their two salads -chopped salad and shopska. I ordered the regular mjesano meso, the ćevapi burger, and shopska. The regular mjesano meso is a sampler of all their meats they sell and it's for two people, but could easily feed 3. The meat was cooked to medium rare, the fries were good, the bread was fluffy but ours was a little too charred. I really liked their ćevapi and sausage they gave, but all the meats were good. The shopska salad reminded me of a Greek salad but the filling was a variety of bell pepper colors, onion, lemon juice, and feta. The ćevapi burger was delicious as well, two thick ćevapi patties with lettuce, their pepper sauce and their bread. It came with other toppings like ketchup, Mayo, horseradish and something similar to a pepper jam. Overall, good food and will come back again when I want some ćevapi.

The food is delicious here!! I love the cevapi SO MUCH (I just wish they were a little bigger, the ones I used to get were much bigger in size) and the Nutella crepes (can't remember the name) were so good! I love the ambience inside and they did great with the decor. Highly recommend and I'd eat here once a week if I could! I just might! Is sad when the Bosnia restaurant closed so I'm thrilled this one opened

Nice new place in town! Delicious Bosnian food & friendly service. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because their menu is lacking vegetables as a side or entree option, aside from the 2 salads they have. If my entree had come with a vegetable side in addition to the fries it would have been perfect. The Hubs really enjoyed the Cevapi in the medium-size portion (you choose small, medium or large depending on how many sausages you want), which was small grilled beef sausages inside of their heavenly soft pita, and it came with raw onions, sour cream & Ajvar (mild roasted red pepper condiment) on the side. I had the Raznjici, which was two generous skewers of perfectly seasoned & grilled steak, served with fries. The menu didn't say it came with pita, but when they brought my plate there was one so I'm not sure if they just included it to be nice or it was left off the menu by mistake. Aside from wishing there were more vegetables in the menu, my only other suggestion would be for the Raznjici entree to have a one or two skewer option, because two skewers was quite a hefty meal and my husband and I could have easily shared it & both been full.

It was getting late in the evening and we were looking for food, luckily we found 7 restaurant. The daughter of the owner took take of us, she was a real sweetheart. Most items on the menu were out since we got there so late, but we still enjoyed our food. The Bosnian coffee was especially delicious, we would return the next time we're in town.

This place is great and the owner was so much fun. The meats were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was spot on. My favorite was the pita bread that was made fresh daily. We got the large platter and added a couple extra meats so we could try it all. That fed all six of us with left overs. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic food and service. Open for dinner only but don't let that stop you from giving them a try. Everything on the menu is amazing.

First time here from Sacramento and it was delicious! We only have one place near us in Sacramento that offers Bosnian/Croatian food and this being a Bosnian place hit the mark! The waitress was friendly and let us choose our table. The vibe was quaint and cozy! Will definitely be returning when we come back up here.

    Yum!

The food was straightforward and delicious while the service was fabulous. I would highly recommend trying the mjesano meso meal between 2 people plus ordering the shopska salad. We had a lot of leftover food. I have never tried Bosnian food before and I can't wait to go back to try other dishes. This restaurant is a Vancouver gem!!

Growing up my whole life eating Bosnian food it is very hard to find a authentic restaurant that actually takes the time to make everything from scratch so that you can quite literally taste the love in the food. The Cevapi were absolutely amazing, perfectly grilled, juice and an abundance of flavor! The bread was also amazing! I was honestly very impressed. The owners served us and were extremely helpful, and you just felt like you're at home. I also loved the ambiance of the restaurant and loved that they played Bosnian music! The service was fast and the presentation was on point! I will definitely drive down from Seattle again!!!

It's a cozy, comfortable space with a Swiss flag and one of those giant horns like in the Ricola ads. I ate with three people and we split up to tackle a good sampling of the menu. We had the Weinerschnitzel (chicken) and Jägerschnitzel (pork). The meal was well-paced. The salad dressing was unique but familiar, they serve it with hot, crusty bread and on the salad (cabbage and house) I could have drank the dressing. I shouldn't, but could have. The schnitzels were fantastic - both the brown butter and the brown gravy. Sides: Spätzle (the garlicky noodles) and the hash brown thing with the bacon. You guys, we ate EVERYTHING. We've never seen our 10 year old eat so much good food. (To be fair, the boy and I had only eaten Chex Mix that day while my wife was at the spa...but I digress.) We felt well taken care of. This was my first time visiting as an out-of-towner and I felt as welcome as visiting family for dinner. We finished the meal with the Lilikoi Cheesecake. My kid surprised me by saying "That's passionfruit!" (which he learned from the Kona Ice truck). Light and decadent. Great meal!

We ordered a rosti for an appetizer which doesn't disappoint, just like how I remember from Zurich. We both ordered dishes with spaetzle, schnitzel and goulash. I opt for a salad with the famous Martin's dressing while my wife gets a French onion soup she claims is the best she's ever had and that's saying something, because we've eaten 3 Michelin Star French onion soup so I try it and now I'm a believer. The chicken broth is so tasty, the onions and cheese are wonderful. It's the simple things really that can make one happy. After conversation and lots of eating, we soon find we've devoured our plates. It's been awhile since I had really good spaetzle so this was a treat. Service was attentive at every step. The dining experience like high end but in a more casual setting. Would go here again. Recommend reservations since seating is limited.

We had our little dog with us so I was happy to see they had a dog friendly patio. It was a warm day and the staff immediately brought her out a bowl of water, which was a thoughtful gesture and shows the level of service they offer to their patrons. Our server, I believe her name was Casey, was lovely. She was friendly and seemed to know a lot of the regulars by name which gave the restaurant a welcoming feel. I ordered the Danish pancakes (Æbleskiver), and they were absolutely delicious. They came with house-made lemon curd and lingonberry jam, and both were incredible. The lemon curd was rich and creamy with just the right amount of tartness, while the lingonberry jam added a sweet-tart flavor that paired perfectly with the fluffy pancakes. Four of them were more than enough to fill me up. My husband ordered the Pytt i Panna, a traditional Swedish hash made with crispy potatoes, bell peppers, and onions, topped with two soft-baked eggs and served with pickled beets and Nordic rye toast. It was hearty, comforting, and full of flavor. The pickled beets were a nice contrast to the savory hash, and everything on the plate was scrumptious! Between the delicious food, welcoming service, and dog-friendly patio, we had a very nice time and it was a good send-off before our walk through the woods to find Ole Bolle. I'd happily come back the next time I'm in the area.

We started with the cardamom latte (rich and nutty) and the matcha marzipan (sweet and with enough aromatic almond flavor) and then proceeded to feast. We started with the Danish pancake donuts- lovely in that they were both savory and sweet, comes with lemon curd and jam. The lefse breakfast was really interesting - a layered thicker 'crepe' with cheese and egg. The fish plate was our family favorite - an epic collection of shrimp, mini shrimps, gravlax, pickled herring (our favorite) various breads, crackers and sauces. Very well presented, fun to eat, and enough to share. We also ordered the Swedish meatballs - rich hearty but small and few (5 total). Luckily, we had plenty of other food and this dish was great with sherry mushroom sauce and a delicious potato latke-like side. Our server was also incredibly personable, friendly, and helpful in our food choices which we always appreciate.

We were genuinely excited and looking forward to a special evening. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short, especially given the price point and strong Yelp rating. The oxtail croquettes arrived cold, which was surprising for a fried item and set a disappointing tone early. The biggest issue was the hamachi crudo. It had a strong fishy smell with clear hints of ammonia and tasted far from fresh, bordering on spoiled. There was a lingering aftertaste that unfortunately affected everyone's palate for the rest of the meal. We sent it back due to quality concerns. My family and I grew up eating liver and mousse from our own family recipes and from many different culinary traditions. The chicken liver mousse here was creamy in texture but lacked depth and subtle sweetness, and tasted overly mineralized. It was the first chicken liver mousse I have ever not finished. The crab beignets were acceptable, though they could have used more crab. The accompanying sauce was well executed. The miso deviled eggs were tasty, and the anchovy add-on worked nicely. The Parisienne gnocchi, at $40, was not memorable and leaned heavily salty. Steak frites were standard, a dish that is generally hard to fumble. Unfortunately drinks. The shift in service after we sent back the hamachi was obviously uncomfortable and noticeable. The energy dramatically changed. There was little interest in engaging with our feedback. For a meal that totaled over $200, we left disappointed and still hungry. Portland offers many stronger dining options at this price point that deliver both quality and hospitality. Disappointing feels like an understatement. I am genuinely puzzled by the high rating based on the food quality and service we experienced. We will not be returning, nor would I recommend it based on this visit.
