Third time back at 702 Nails and I'm happy to say that my experiences have been much better the second and third times! The second time, I saw Wendy, who was new to the salon and she did an amazing job on my nails. She was friendly and professional. I got a powder dip with gel glitter ombre over top. They looked great but I managed to break 2 of my nails about a week after getting them done, but that was all on me. The powder dip held up really well for another week and a half until I went back again yesterday to get them redone. I'm not sure the name of the tech I saw yesterday, but she was very quiet. I got a powder dip (again) and she glued my 2 broken nails so you can't see where they're broken. The powder dip is so strong that I don't think even once my nails grow out further that I'll be able to tell where they broke (until next time I get them done). I felt bad because I got there around 6/6:15 and with the powder dip, it takes longer so I was there a while after they closed, which meant they stayed open later then normal. Amy was nice and offered to get me ice cream from next door (they were getting some for all the employees), but I declined. Anyway, long story short: I like 702 Nails enough to return. I'll probably ask for Wendy again next time I go, because she did a really good job and she was super friendly to chat with! read more

I've been bouncing around nail salons in the 89183 and 89052 area codes for months looking for a place that does more than just good gel manicures. The salon itself has a modern, upscale feel to it and it makes you want to stay awhile. They also offer you water. The only drawback is they're a little pricier than the competition. This is the first place I tried SNS dip. Only one out of the 10 times I got my dip manicure here did I have a nail break. They have a great color selection for SNS. I usually like how they take the time to shape and file my nails evenly. Unfortunately the last 3 times my sessions took forever. The wait to be seen exceeds an hour even with an appointment. The technician takes a lot of time in between on his phone and pausing for other customers. I've been really patient because I don't trust anywhere else to get my nails done. However this last time was the worst. I had an appointment at 3pm and called just an hour prior. Upon arriving he immediately informed me that it would be another 45min. 1 hour and 15 minutes passes and I am finally acknowledged. By the hour and a half mark they provide me a seat. The technician walks out! I find myself sitting next to 2 others who are waiting on the same/only tech available for SNS dip. She suggested I come back in a hour. Unfortunately at that point I had to seek another shop. read more

However, if you are in a rush or need to be done in a timely manner, I would not recommend coming here. I made my appointment for 6:15PM and was not actually seated until sometime between 6:45 and 7:00. My gel manicure and regular pedicure was not finished until almost 9:00PM. Now, not even 5 days later, the gel on my fingers is peeling and the regular polish on my toes is coming off (I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say I am on my feet a lot and that could be why); however, there is no excuse for my gel peeling. Went one day to get a manicure and pedicure with my mom. They had us wait 30 minutes until they finally put us in a pedicure chair and we still waited another 30 before someone even came to help us. Then they completely ignored me and only helped my mom. Decided to give them a second chance because they did a good job on our pedicures and my moms gel manicure. Called and made an appointment to make sure i would get seen quickly. Walked in right on time and still had to wait 20 min. A lady started soaking my acrylics off and left me to sit there for an hour and a half. I asked three different people to find someone to help me and do my nails and still got ignored. Finally got up and left because i couldn't wait any longer. Unless you have a whole day to waste i would not suggest going to this place. They do a good job, but the service is trash. read more

I got the deluxe spa pedi that included a foot scrub, massage, and wrap along with the traditional services of a spa pedicure. PROS: Refreshments offered; bottled water, red or white whine.. I mean wine.. There were definitely no whines heard here. Sanitary liners are included with every pedicure. Massage chairs were in good working order, clean, and comfortable. They do a fabulous job painting nails- they looked flawless and 2 weeks late I have the smallest chip from when I tripped on an uneven sidewalk (though to be fair, nail polish generally lasts a long time on my toes). CONS: Likely a few dollars more than your local neighborhood salon, but totally worth it (standard spa pedicure is $30) read more

Not just a little, but it took several minutes to make the bleeding stop. Then she insisted the color I wanted was not available in regular polish so I had to get gel. Over paid ($100) for a mediocre mani pedi. This was my second visit there. I overheard this same tech during my first visit unabashedly telling someone she'll upsell to anyone at anytime without regard. I wish I got her name but didn't so you can avoid her. I've been here multiple times and I've typically enjoyed my experience. However this time was a little different, way more of a chop shop atmosphere. The nail tech didn't interact with me at all, I wasn't offered a beverage by anyone...not even a water. So when I first walked in, no one even greeted me. There were a few employees behind the desk having casual conversation...finally after a few moments someone said they'd help me, but they didn't even look at me. During my service I felt it was less than mediocre...I don't even think I got the techs name. Upon checking out, the receptionist asked how everything was, I told her that I wasn't expecting my nails to come out like this and with only one coat and I wasn't completely satisfied. She didn't even listen and was dismissive. She was way too busy in a personal conversation with her colleague. I've been coming here for 4 years-since they first opened I believe. I'm always made to feel welcome. I get manicures and pedicures and have had services from several different technicians. They offer gel and SNS in addition to regular manicures and they have a menu of different levels of pedicures. After so many visits, you receive 10% off your next service. Shop is clean, pedi chairs give a good massage. They are busy so it's better if you have an appointment or at least call ahead. They do however, take walk-ins. read more

Well, let me say that I got home... grabbed a nail file and had to fix the shape of every single one of my toenails and fingernails after I just finished getting my nails done. The nails were cut at an angle, with sharp AND uneven edges. I was cut once during the pedicure, and also when it got to my nails I was too hesitant to get them done so I just asked for no nail polish on top, just a clean manicure (Cuticles, even filing... simple clear coat).
