To be honest, I would've ordered more baowiches than sushi as I think that the baowiches tastes a lot better than one of the rolls ordered. The spicy California roll had bigger chunks of cream cheese than all the other fillings. I ended up picking out all the cream cheese chunks. The shrimp spring rolls were pretty good! The peanut sauce was sweet and salty. It tasted like your standard shrimp spring roll - but they do it a bit different by adding "crab" and avocado. Bao wiches - we ordered chicken bao, musubi bao, & shaggy dog bao and they were all amazing!!! The musubi bao definitely tasted like a musubi - brings back a little bit of Hawaii memories. What a good concept! This is more of a grab and go because the place is not super big, but they do offer really limited seatings. But the sushi here is way better than the grocery kind, trust me. Once you walk in you see this refrigerated self full of already made sushi. I saw there was seating left so my daughter and I picked up a few sushi to try out. I had the tartare and some nigiri. The fish is really fresh, you can tell the difference because of the way it melts in your mouth and the marbling of the salmon. My daughter is picky about her rolls and doesn't eat raw fish, so we asked them to make her a cucumber roll with 2 massago sushi pieces. They charged me pretty cheaply too for these custom orders because if I had went to a sushi restaurant, they would have definitely charged me a lot more! The owner was very nice and came out from behind the counter and asked us how we are enjoying everything. He even offered my daughter some fried dumplings on the house to take home! He explained how they are expecting more appliances to come which will allow him to store and make some more specialty pieces...even half priced rolls for the families who want to be able to spend less or not order a whole roll and try different ones. You'll surely find something you'd enjoy since there's over 100 items on the menu. It's not your typical grab and go sushi like HEB or Kroger. While they do have some made already in the showcase, most of their other items are made to order. What I'm listing isn't even close to all the things I got but these are just some of my favorites: Chef Special Nigiri, Salmon Lover Combo, Hawaiian Poke Roll, & Sashimi Blossom. Service here is absolutely phenomenal! The owners are so sweet and on my second visit I got to know more about their story and how they came about. Because of my autoimmune disease I have to eat gluten/soy/dairy free and the owner made me a version of the Hawaiian Poke roll and Shrimp spring rolls leaving out anything I couldn't eat and adding other ingredients to make it extra yummy. It was so good I'm dreaming about the next time I'm in town and able to get it again. Not only was the food super delicious, the staff was so kind and accommodating to my dietary needs. The service is awesome as well. The owner and staff are super nice.
