When I go to Hawaiian-style restaurants on the mainland, I don't usually expect them to taste as good as I remember when I eat similar items in Hawaii, but the dishes we had here were bomb dot com. Golden Garlic Chicken Fried Rice - perfect String Bean and Pork - delightfully spicy When we ordered the pork dish, he warned us that it was spicy, so we asked him to make it extra spicy, and they did not hold back. This is the type of place where just based on those two dishes, I know everything they make will be top notch. Even as I'm writing this review, I'm thinking, "808 for dinner tonight?" Look forward to exploring the menu further, though it'll be hard to pull away from these first two gems. (Edit: I did have 808 that night, switching in the Kim Chi Fried Rice. Food is super flavorful (sometimes a tad bit more on the salty side but nothing more rice/water can't fix)! The owner is super kind and accomodating! There was one time where we went in close to closing time and asked if it was too late for us to order but he was very welcoming and invited us in. They offer great tasting Asian food selections: pho, wontons, spam egg fried rice, ramen, fish balls fish cake hor fun noodles, chicken curry laksa noodles, etc. Good ingredients. Very fulfilling and satisfying. Maybe owner is Hawaiian Chinese or similar. They do speak Cantonese and good English. Casual local lunch cafe feeling. They do operate dinner hours. All are excellent, including the tasty beverages, coffee, lemonade drink, and more. Not too sweet. Perfect. Excellent customer service. Very small shop/restaurant space. Credit cards including Discover cards are accepted. It's on the quiet side with no long lines, no crowds, no stressful dining experience, etc. Few tables. Yes, small, but very good. Note: Foods can take awhile or much longer than anticipated to come out. Imagine 2-3 people running this family owned business. Great chef in the kitchen. Asians from California should like this place if they really taste the foods. I think the place has potential to do better and grow bigger if they want to. Hawaiian beef stew is tasty and is packed with big tender pieces of beef, chunks of potato and carrots. Ton of rice, broccoli on the side, and mac salad. Mandarin beef stew is full of flavor with big chunks of tender braised beef that taste like been braising for days, bok choy and bowl of rice. Canton style pan fried noodle loaded with tofu, cabbage, bok choy, water chestnuts adds some crunch, baby corn, and lots of noodles. The gravy has light taste and not salty. They are open late and SO friendly! When we came in the guy they greeted us and asked if it was for here or to go. I looked at my husband and the guy was so kind and said "feel free to sit!" And we did, he gave us recommendations and brought our drinks with straws so quickly. The foods was great and the service was A+. read more

Not at all what we were expecting. Pleasantly surprised. Clean inside. Clean bathroom. Good size menu of Chinese and Hawaiian style food. Personally I would stick to the Chinese style. Looking forward to coming back and eating my way through the menu. Fish with black bean sauce was a huge portion. Kalbi came with lots of rice, mac salad and perfectly blanched cold broccoli. Green beans were super yummy with flavor and crunch. I would probably not order the kalbi again because it was really chewy but the flavor was good. Sh.... Don't tell anyone. What a hidden gem! I was in the area and such is good for food, and this place show up and rated 4.5* on Yelp, is pretty high, so I decided to stop by. Great choice! By looking at the photos, I thought this is a Hawaiian fusion, but is a mixer of Chinese, Hawaiian, little Korean and Japanese. Totally did not expect this place to have the quality of food that it delivered. It originally reminded me of some kinda Hawaiian fusion place as it had chinese (both americanized and authentic dishes) /japanese/thai/korean/hawaiian/singaporean/vietnamese.... like what the heck?? We ordered mainly authentic chinese type dishes and they for sure delivered. I was getting some Wok Hei flavor coming through on the dishes! Eggplant dish ended up being Thai style with ground meat and I prefer it over the typical chinese variations. I wouldn't mind coming back here if my next group is wanting chinese food while in Vegas. read more

Let's say portions are plentiful. Had the loco moco and it was very good. The eggs and meat were excellently cooked. The gravy was a bit of a miss for me. It had the after taste of a bad or old wine. It's was a bit of a bitter taste that crept up a few seconds after eating the gravy. However the rice and macaroni salad were superb. Mood - The Owner Now I dont know what kind of experience you will have when you come in here. I can only recap my experience and the hospitality that we experienced that particular night. Traveling with a 3 year old is very hit or miss. The babies are very picky or irritable and it makes for a very frustrating time out with the adults, having real adult conversations other than talking about Cocomelon or whatever your household is into to appease the babies. Upon entering we were quickly greeted and ushered to sit wherever we chose. Now you know when you are starving it is not wise to go out to eat because you will order almost everything. And that we did We opted for the Fried Rice, Loco Moco, Kalbi, Seasoned Veggies, Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, Spam & Eggs Over Rice, Wonton Soup, and of course Fries. The food was very good in taste. Def fell in love with the Wonton Soup. However my highlight was the owner. The little one started to have a Level 15 meltdown. And the embarrassment took over. The Owner simply came over did what a veteran parent would do " DEFLECTED THE LITTLE ONE". I know as we write these reviews it is supposed to be based off of the food ect and the overall experience. Yes I did that. However Kudos to this guy. With one random act of kindness all emotions and feelings were able to be put at bay while we enjoyed the food. Interior is quaint. There are a couple of table and chair arrangements. Everything was very clean. Music was playing in the background. The menu was not of mainly Hawaiian plates. It is close to typical American Chinese food menu. In the end, I ordered Loco Moco for takeout. The beef patty was definitely pre-frozen ones. Stumbled upon this place looking for a late lunch. Was pleasantly surprised with the menu having Hawaiian favorites with some Chinese favorites as well. Settled for Chicken Katsu and Salted Pepper Calamari. Serving was big, food tasted comparable to most good ones, calamari was tender and battered just right, loved the garlic flakes. Came with husband and son. Small place but very clean. We were greeted and seated right away. Husband had the KalBi plate and he loved it. Came here on a whim and was very pleased! The restaurant is small but very well kept and clean. I ordered the garlic miso chicken to go which took about 15 minutes or so before it was ready. The man working was very nice and attentive and convinced me to eat there instead. The food was great and they give huge portions! I'll probably have another two meals from the plate alone. It's very very rare that I'm at a loss for words after eating at a restaurant. I go all over Vegas trying new spots and a lot of them are good to very good. Well this place is great. I literally just ate there but there may not be a better price/value/flavor restaurant in this entire city. Pretty much everything is home made. From the dumplings to all the sauces to the chili oil. I didn't try the Hawaiian food, but the Chinese was great. The salt and pepper fish was off the charts good. Who would ever think to order fish in an obscure strip mall off Buffalo? Happy to found the gym in the desert! They serve Chinese dishes with a Hawaiian taste. The owner is super nice and waiting inside to eat there where a lot of to go orders with customers picking up. this place is OK- a bit overpriced for my liking. the service was excellent, it was just the food that lacked. the beef from the mongolian dish seemed of poor quality, very squishy and just average tasting. the chow mein was suuuuper oily, and i felt jipped on the amount of chicken (maybe had 5-6 pieces total) lastly, the fried rice was averGE, i personally like more sauce cooked with it but i just added it on during the meal. like i said- overall, the food was average but overpriced for the lack of quality. read more

First time coming down here tonight & I have no idea why it's not crowded right now. Everything I have ate was the best quality I've had in a while. Appetizers we had the crab Rangoon, hands down the best I've ever had here in Vegas there's a little twist to it & I know you'll catch on later. I didn't even need the sauce on the side it's flavorful on its own. Sides I had the Kim chee taste so fresh crispy, perfect spice & juicyyyy Main I had the mapo tofu, soon as I took a bite all I felt was warm comfort food! Perfect right now since it's cold. Flavor was firrrrrre !! Loco moco did not disappoint everything was on point. I feel like coming from Hawaii and coming to Vegas no one makes a good Mac salad, like everything on our table tonight it brought me back home. Food was very fresh and made to order. The beef chow mein was very good. Probably the best fried rice we have had. The Mongolian beef was also really good and and a must try if you eat here. We didn't like the gyoza or the general tsos chicken, both were soggy. I also didn't really like the hot n sour soup, it had way too much tofu in it and was a thick consistency. If we come back we will def have the chow mein, fried rice and mongolian beef. Those three were amazing absolutely amazing. read more

This place is great. I asked for a recommendation and was able to order new items not yet on the menu. I got the mochiko chicken. (Breaded chicken with mochi flour I presume). It was good and the chicken was juicy. They're open until 12am so it's a great place to visit as almost everything else is closed. All of the staff were super friendly too. read more
