Special Noodle review #1 In Chinatown Vegas, there are so many restaurants, but decided to check out Special Noodle since it was recommended by a friend. Let me start by saying Special Noodle is authentic Chinese comfort food. Personally , I feel this place is Great ! You can taste the love that they put into their dishes and every bite The restaurant is known for its handmade noodles, steamed soup dumplings and pork fried buns. We decided on the steamed soup dumplings, which were super delicious. We then added the salt and pepper chicken wings and the salt and pepper chicken bites. Both were perfectly crispy with light, flavorful breading that was cooked just right. For our main courses, we ordered the braised pork belly soup pot and the beef noodle soup pot. The portions are enormous! We ended up taking most of our meals home, so one entrée easily turned into two meals. The ordering system is a little different from most restaurants. You scan a QR code to place your food order directly from your phone. A server still takes care of your table by bringing drinks, water, and checking in throughout your meal, but food orders are placed digitally. Paying is just as convenient--you can either pay together or each person can pay their own bill separately. The restaurant has plenty of seating (booths, tables, with fish tanks dividing the seating areas - it gives the dining room a unique vibe. Special Noodle opened its Las Vegas location in 2025 and is part of the Fourth Sister restaurant family, which also has locations in California's Bay Area and Austin, Texas. With so many incredible restaurants to choose from in Chinatown, it's not easy to stand out--but Special Noodle absolutely does. The quality of the food, generous portions, and authentic flavors made this one of the best Chinese meals we've had in Las Vegas. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
First of all a huge gripe, they have no physical menu, orders can only be done through their scan code which is opened on your phone, this poses a huge difficulty for anyone that does not have a smartphone, huge faux par. Being unaccustomed to using the phone made it quite difficult for me to order, once I got the hang of it, it was a little easier. The order is sent directly to the kitchen but if there's any deviation like the pork belly noodles which comes with sesame seeds sprinkled on top which I have let them know to leave out, you still wave down a wait staff to let the kitchen staff to not add. Kinda defeats the purpose of not being able to give the order to a wait staff. The soup dumplings are great and something I haven't experienced, super yum. The other dumplings my friend ordered were equally yummy and very very juicy, the proof is on my hands. Now the pork belly, OMG, this was the yummiest pork belly I've had in a long, long, long time, The trip here for the pork belly is worth it alone. it's the noodles were no slouch either, they were equally yummy. My biggest mistake was ordering the dish spicy. It was spicy but deliciously spicy. At least I'll know to order it plain the next time. The pork belly is a must order item hands down. Oh yeah for the people that make a big deal out of the ambiance, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, big whoop.
We came in on accident, so we weren't expecting much. So with that, we were pleasantly surprised, having no expectations. We had the pork dumplings, combination chow mein & the combo fried rice. It's a relatively new restaurant with a pretty cool vibe inside, the decor was old school meets new school Chinese. I do like the fact they are open late until about 2AM. Lots of parking outside, it's next door to an Asian grocery store. We were greeted and seated quickly and you order via QR coded menu - so service is mainly to maybe refill your water and just physically paying the bill. Will probably be back during those late hours, would recommend to family and friends. We did like the noodles and dumplings here, delish & filling!
Got to Vegas and we were hungry so I decided to try a new place. I found this place and looked like had good reviews so we came here for lunch. Should have checked the price before coming but oh well, thats my fault. Nice pretty restaurant with friendly staff. I hate when I have to go online to look at menu and have to order via online. Ordered spicy beef noodle soup with thick noodle. Also ordered golden palace chicken (which I guess it's orange chicken/ginger and garlic sauce). First problem is that this basically orange chicken dish with ginger was $21.99, it did not come with rice. So why is it that you come to a Chinese restaurant, order Chinese food and it does not even come with rice. Ordered rice and it was freaking extra $3. My noodle dish came out first, flavor was pretty good with small kick. Noodles were firm and some what chewy and meat was tender. This dish was not too bad., except broth was little bit on the border like luke warm. Almost half way to my dish chicken dish came out. I was pretty surprised to taste the chicken and have them soggy. I expected crispy fried chicken drenched in sauce. The flavor I initially was not bad but after few bites, I could not get passed the weird after taste. The sauce was mixed between orange chicken with added ginger and garlic. Very disappointing specially how much it cost. And not to mention my $3 bowl of rice. Over all service was pretty good but for me food taste and quality was definitely not worth the cost. Would not be coming here again.
I think this is a solid spot for chinese food but there were just a few issues with our experience. First of all, the food came out pretty slow to the point er had to ask the waiter to check on our order. The food was good, such as the pork belly rice and the soup dumplings but the pork was a little dry and the soup dumplings wrapper was too thick and soft . Love the ambiance though, I really like the wallpaper in the back.
Really good stir fry and dumplings, I have been here several times and all very good. Staff is attentive and friendly. We shared the fish balls, stir fry combo and beef roll. Plenty for two people, great value.

I was craving mapo tofu and it was the only place still serving it around 10 PM. I planned on just getting that, but since it was my first time, I had to try a few things.. The food was solid. Nothing was a standout or better than other places that serve similar dishes. We got some soup dumplings, the wok stir fried green beans, the spicy wontons, and chili oil and then of course the mapo tofu. I would say all the food was above average. Nothing was a miss. I really enjoyed the soup dumplings which had a thicker rapper, but not in a bad way. They maintained their shape without ripping when grabbing them with chopsticks which I appreciated. I also liked the flavor of the broth and the texture of the meat and the flavor. The green beans were good but lacked flavor, the spicy wontons were really flavorful, and the mapo tofu was good. I thought the tofu could've had more flavor and the rice was a little dry for my liking. One thing I have a little feedback on is service. Not really a bad service thing but more the system the restaurant operates for the servers. You get seated and then order from the QR code link, they drop off food, and then you request the check with the website link as well. It felt odd putting a 20% tip for this type of service. I always tip 20% minimum for dine in but this time it just felt odd. It was more like counter service. I think these servers working incredibly hard- they are hostessing, running food, collecting payments, and bussing it seems. I feel like that money they serve should be coming from the restaurant. Just my thoughts. Anyways, I did enjoy and the food was solid. It's not somewhere I'm recommending over similar spots or putting in my rotation or already planning to go back anytime soon.

You order through the QR code and the staff comes around to drop off dishes and pick up empty ones. I loved the spicy lamb with noodles, braised rib meat with noodles, and chow fun! The noodles were meaty and tender and chewy - I could eat them all day! I also loved how spicy and flavorful the dishes were.
Everything was delicious here !! We went back and got chow mein another time and that was also really good. Service was ok also for a Chinese restaurant !

I would highly recommend the beef wrap which was like a Chinese version of a burrito . . The spider dumpling was really good too! The soup dumplings are really good but be careful when you take a bite as they do squirt Service was fast and relatively friendly Would definitely come back!
Always easy parking and quick to be seated. Their menu is pretty expansive and made to order, so food wait varies based on your order. The ordering is through the phone, super convenient. The pan friend bao is super delicious and perfect to share. The spicy green lamb hot pot is no joke!! It's numbing and sour and there is plenty of meat strips to noodle ratio so you do get your money's worth. The restaurant is pretty casual but they keep it clean and it's our go-to in Vegas because there's nothing bad on the menu.
It's weird how despite having access to so much Asian food back in LA, I still love visiting places like these outside of my home state. Located right off the strip, they're a huge bang for your buck for some great Chinese food. I loved the interior design, and service was good. It's a great mix of technology (ordering via your phone), as well was the in-person touch. 5/5 would be back whenever I'm in town again
We came here for lunch before heading back to Phoenix. We found 四姐 Special Noodle on Yelp, and wonder how "special" their noodles really are. When we walked in, we saw a Chinese emperor-style chair with two huge ceramic vases on both sides. It's perfect for pictures, and yes, we did take a few. We got seated right away, and each table has its own iPad for ordering, which makes everything easy. We ordered dumplings, buns, noodles, and stir-fried intestine. The dumplings were sooo juicy and tasty. The wrapper was just right, not too thick and not too thin. The pork pan-fried buns were amazing, crispy on the bottom (a must) and juicy inside. I would definitely order those again. I believe they make their noodles in-house; the noodles were nice and chewy, loved it. The intestine stir-fry tasted good, just a little too greasy for us. We love trying new restaurants, and it's even better when they are good.

as a very chinese person, this food is very authentic and delicious, i can't even begin to describe it with words. my family really liked the food and everything we tried was amazing. in addition, the workers are so so nice and the food came out very quick. the mood of the restaurant is super cute too, def a great place to eat if u come to vegas read more

okay like I was so surprised how amazing this place was! i'm a Magic Noodle regular so I came in with a whole set of expectations!!! The beef noodle soup was incredible. The flavor was rich and deep, and the noodles had that perfect bouncy chew. I was SOO happy to eat that bowl. the beef rolls were a hit too, though personally I could do with less lettuce. The salted egg yolk bun? Absolutely fire. And the skewers were seasoned so well! This place blew me and my husbands mind with how good it was considering they don't have that many ppl inside . We ended up here since the place we were trying to eat at nearby had a 2 hour wait. Overall, it was ok. The service was lacking being pretty empty and we were a party of 8. The ordering system is all app based, you don't get menus, and barely get explained any of that. No one stops by pretty much ever unless aggressively waved down. The system does make it easier to split checks though, but was not what I hope for when dining in somewhere. The dish I ordered, Beef Chow Fun, was ok - needed spice. But the other dishes looked good and seems to be enjoyed by the table - dumplings, green beans, fries (they're sweet!), udon, etc. Based solely on the service, not sure if I'd visit again. read more

Went here with a group and tried a variety of dishes -- everything was flavorful and satisfying! We had pork soup dumplings, fried pork soup dumplings, spicy lamb mixed noodles, sweet and sour chicken, eggplant with string beans, and chicken chow mein. The soup dumplings were juicy and delicious, and the spicy lamb noodles had great flavor. The rest of the dishes were also tasty and came out fresh and hot. The ambience was amazing, and the staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great spot if you want to try multiple dishes and enjoy a good meal with friends! read more
10/10 would recommend :) Ordered the No3: Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, regular noodles and it was a must try. The noodles tasted freshly made, the broth was on the spicy side, yet still flavorful. The beef was the best part, super tender and fatty. Only thing I would change in the future is requesting more bok choi. For the portion size & the price, well worth a visit. Also went with the green onion pancake, which didn't look very crispy, but was actually perfect. There is plenty of seating inside & you'll order on the website. We will be back ! read more
A friend put Special Noodle on my radar before my Vegas trip and it did not disappoint! We came in as a group of four and were seated immediately. To order, we scanned the QR code on the table to see the menu and submitted our order. All the food came out pretty quickly. Their pork xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were a standout. The XLB was solid with a rich, savory broth. We also loved the pan fried pork buns which had perfectly crispy bottoms and the stir fried green beans which had a nice smoky char. Next time I'd order the mapo tofu spicy. I ordered it non-spicy this time and found myself adding a lot of the chili oil that they had on the table into the dish lol. Would be nice to have a mild option for next time :) I would also skip the coconut egg custard buns since it didn't taste as fresh as I'd like. Overall, everything was delicious and very authentic. After my trip to Philadelphia, I was looking for something to eat after arriving back into Vegas! When I got back to Las Vegas, I thought about going to Special Noodle. I went to their location in the Chinatown section on Spring Mountain Road. That area has many restaurants, which many of them have good reviews. As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I immediately took notice of how nice and clean it looked inside. It felt very modern and very welcoming! It was the perfect spot to go and sit down and relax after a long day of traveling. One item I noticed that was unique was how you place your order. They did not have an actual menu at the table, but instead a QR menu. You would take a QR code from their table and then use your phone to look at the menu. You could then put your orders in using your phone. I thought it was a little unique at first, however, I found it to be much easier. Once we had our food, the team member came and delivered all of the items to us. I tried a couple of items for dinner. Pan-fried soup dumplings were the first time I had ever tried them. Overall they were very interesting. The texture and consistency of the dumplings was much different than what I thought they would be. The bottom crust on each dumpling was a nice addition to the dish and I enjoyed the experience of trying something that was completely new to me. Sweet and Sour Pork was my other order. That one turned out to be my favorite. The pork was very crispy and full of flavor. The sweet and sour sauce that came with the pork was excellent. Unlike the sweet and sour sauces I'm used to, which are thinner, this one was thicker and clung to the pork better. It added an extra layer of flavor to each bite. Special Noodle was a great place to enjoy dinner. The service was fantastic! I would certainly go back again to taste other offerings from their menu. read more
I went back two days in a row cause I couldn't get enough of Special Noodle! Their dishes have all been very well made and are flavor bombs. Some items I've enjoyed: Chicken skin skewers - CRISPY which is an important quality in chicken skin. Nice cumin flavor. Spicy beef noodle soups - I've gotten this with rice noodles. Deep broth and the meat is not too fatty or tough. Would get this again and again. Lamb skewers - recommend if you love cumin! Very flavorful. Mapo tofu - good mala sensation. Pan fried soup dumplings - the skin on these is enjoyable and they packed the soup in. Nice place for a quick meal or a family dinner. Service is fast even when busy. I'll be back soon! read more
Came in with no expectations and left very impressed at the quality of food. Everything here is extremely authentic and thoroughly well made. XLBs were particularly impressive as the wrapper demonstrated excellent integrity while the pork filling inside was flavorful and came with just the perfect amount of soup. Also, I'm not sure I've seen too many other restaurants in town have leek pockets. Only issue preventing this place from a 5th star are their super steep prices. Every single menu item here is oftentimes several dollars higher than what I'd expect, and some of their items were priced the highest I've ever seen both locally or even 626. read more
We were curious about this spot that comes from the Bay Area (Fremont) so we decided to try it out for an early dinner. Spacious interior, pleasant service, quick and easy order format (scan barcode and order away!) Here's what we got: Beef Pancake-4/5 Beef Chow Fun-4/5 Soup Dumplings-5/5 Spicy Beef Noodle Soup-4.5/5 Overall, pretty good in taste, price point isn't bad, they have other regional Chinese dishes to choose from and they are open until 2am for the night owl crowd. Worth the visit if you're in the area. Same complex where SF Market, It's Sushi, and Tous Les Jours is in. read more
I've been coming here for years and have always been happy. But this last visit last week left MUCH to be desired. It was an extra windy and cold day. We bundled up and when we got inside, it was not much warmer than outside. It was so cold that we couldn't even take our jackets off. On my way to the bathroom, I saw the thermostat set at 65F. 65? That's not even habitability standard. Meaning if you're a landlord, it's illegal to have the heat in your unit at less than 68. The bathroom was dirty and had no toilet paper. I told a worker about the missing toilet paper and he responded with, "it's not my problem." This restaurant charges $30 a dish. Is too cheap to heat the place so we don't freeze while spending $100-200 on lunch. No toilet paper, and the worker's response and attitude perfectly captures how they feel about their customers. It's not my problem and I don't care. You have pee dripping down your legs as you eat? Not my problem. I see and feel that attitude loud and clear and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Ok special noodle, it's been quite some time since I've been back because of some inconsistencies, but TIME REALLY DOES HEAL! Last few times their soup has tasted different, but this most recent time it tasted like I remembered it from the first time I tried this restaurant! I am so happy!!! This place's beef noodle soup really is COMFORT food for me. The green sichuan pepper makes it so delicious. Yes it is spicy, but it makes the soup for me! Also ordered was the sweet and sour pork and pan fried pork dumplings. Sweet and sour pork's batter was crunchy and tasty, however the layer of meat is far too thing compared to the batter. The dumplings were very special. It was pastry like from the outside and the inside was tasty and savory. Our other order was the beef chow fun. It was very good, not too oily. Only complaint is that they are severely understaffed. Every thing is ordered on a QR code and I did notice a couple tables who had issues ordering. One was specifically a group of tourists who did not have a phone number. That's an issue, because if you do not have a phone number, you are unable to place your order because it will text you back verifying your order. I saw the same two servers who were running food, taking orders manually for those who didn't use the QR code. Lastly, those carts they use to run food bothered me. I noticed they were not cleaned in between bringing food out and taking back dirty dishes from other tables. Hopefully, they recognize that that isn't sanitary. Overall after this time around, I'm definitely coming back here on a regular basis. So happy with the improvements and I think they just needed time to work out the kinks. read more

Dumplings are decent, the filling doesn't taste like made from Shanghainese. But the skin, soup and pork fillings rationed well. Iron skillet three kind is very good. We chose tender fried and it did came out pretty good. Service is minimum as you order via their QR code on the table. It's pretty standard. Nice decoration choices, tables are spaced evenly and not too crowded. read more
We came in for Chinese comfort meal after a night out on the strip. This place opens till early morning and not a lot of restaurants open till that hour on weekdays. Place is nicely decorated and very cozy, menu was big. We had some Chinese beverages like bottled green tea and plum juice, also few bottled beers. For food we had grilled whole fish, xiaolongbao, pan fried baos, beef rice noodles and beef noodle soup. The food was very comforting in big portions. I always find Las Vegas Asian foods are a bit greasy for my taste. The others all enjoyed the food so it was good. Service was very friendly and fast. I saw a review about this place, I was hungry, so stopped in to give it a try. scan the QR code, browse the menu, and order from the app. Different experience but I didn't mind, although if you had a question about the item I guess you'd have to flag down the staff. The visible staff were mostly there to seat you, bring you the check, and buss tables. Not talkative when I complimented the food, which by the way was excellent. I had the Spicy Beef mixed noodles, with Udon noodles. Large portion, some gravy-like substance on top, totally delicious and plenty to take home for dinner. The beef was tender, the noodles perfectly plump and chewy, I'll definitely give this place another visit and give something elese a try! read more
The food here is delicious and the server was also very nice. The spicy beef noodle soup and spicy wontons were not as spicy as I would've liked (but I do eat at an unreasonable spice level compared to most people). I also agree with other reviewers that the beef soup was a bit on the salty side. But the flavors were really good and the noodles are extra good because they are homemade. The beef was very tender. Another reviewer said to ask for more cilantro and when I added in the extra cilantro, it elevated the taste of the soup. Definitely recommend the addition. I took a star off because the bathroom door doesn't lock properly (it locks from the inside but if someone pushes it from the outside, it will open) and someone walked in on me while I was using the restroom. When I told the server about it, he already knew and I let him know he should warn people since someone walked in on me. He had the decency to look horrified and apologized. I do recommend this place. Just don't use the restroom. read more
We came here with a group of friends and had family style dinner. We all absolutely loved it! Every dish was delicious and beautifully plated. My personal favorite was the non-spicy chicken. The spicy chicken was great too, but really had a kick! The dumplings were a crowd favorite with our group too. There is definitely something for everyone here! read more
I was in town for Thanksgiving with family and decided to try a Chinese restaurant I'd seen on Yelp with good reviews. The place was busy, and the wait for a table was a bit long, which isn't surprising on a holiday. Ordering was via a QR code that supposedly linked to the menu. However, I accidentally ordered from the takeout QR menu instead of the dine-in menu. We ended up waiting for our dishes while other tables that arrived after us were getting their food. When I asked the server about our order, I learned that I had placed a takeout order, and our food had actually gone to the counter for pickup. I'm glad I checked, or we might have waited forever. The food flavors were good, and good portion though a bit greasy for my preference. The use of paper plates and disposable utensils was a turnoff to an otherwise good dinner. read more

This is when I wish Yelp had half stars because this restaurant would be 3.5 stars but because there's no halves, giving it a 4 stars rating is being really generous. If there is a wait, you can write your name and phone number on the notepad. Once seated, there's a QR code to scan and order from. Don't expect full table service. You'll most likely have to wave someone down whenever you need something. Considering how busy they were, the order arrived at the table quickly. We had the following: * Spicy beef noodle soup: a tad salty but still pretty good * Beef wrap: didn't like too much * Onion pancake: bland and hard texture * Sesame chicken: Sweet, honey consistency, nicely flavored but batter was soggy. Would be better if it was fried a little longer before being tossed with sauce. * Eggplant with string beans: good * Beef chow fun: nice and smoky taste from the wok but noodles were soggy and not much protein I wouldn't mind returning to try other dishes, as there was an extensive menu. read more

We stopped into Special Noodle for lunch on Black Friday, and thankfully we didn't have to wait long to be seated despite the rush. Once we sat down, though, we realized how busy the restaurant really was -- there was a pretty long line forming, and it ended up taking around 25 minutes before any food arrived. That said, the food was genuinely delicious, and the inside definitely has a fun, lively vibe. We ordered the green beans with eggplant, shrimp fried rice, and a beef chow fun, and enjoyed every single dish. Flavors were great, portions were good enough, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, I'd definitely come back, even if it didn't leave me feeling like I had to return immediately. Good food, cool atmosphere -- just be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy times. read more

Special Noodle, an authentic Northern and Southern Chinese restaurant originally from NorCal. Ambiance (4/5): The decor is decent with a bar area that's currently not in use. The space isn't too cramped, and tables aren't packed too closely together, making it comfortable for groups. Service (2/5): Service is close to nonexistent. Ordering is done through a QR code, and during our last visit, we waited nearly 40 minutes without anyone checking on us. Not once did they ask how we were doing. Despite that, an automatic gratuity was still added due to our large party, which was disappointing given the lack of service. Food (4/5): The food is what keeps me coming back. Most dishes are consistently flavorful and well-prepared. Order again: * Xiao Long Bao (4/5): Tasty soup and filling, though they don't provide ginger or small vinegar dishes. * Sizzling Plate (5/5): Featuring liver, intestines, and kidney, definitely not for everyone, but we loved it. * Pan-Fried Buns (5/5): Probably the best I've had anywhere. * Sweet and Sour Pork (5/5): Hands down the best in town. * Spicy Smoked Bamboo Shoot and Cured Pork (5/5): Excellent flavor and texture. * Pickled Green Bean with Pork Noodles (5/5): A crowd favorite; it reminded me of my grandma's cooking. * Farmer's Stir-Fried Pork (5/5): Another standout dish. * Eggplant with String Beans (4/5) * Dry Pot Cauliflower (4/5) Okay: * Beef Wrap (3/5): Average and forgettable. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! First timer here with my boyfriend and we ordered probably $130 worth of food to try and let me tell you everything was phenomenal. When you first walk in you immediately know it's gonna be authentic and tasty. Give it a chance though it's not modernized, but so authentic and they set up display for all the food is so great. You do order from your phone on a QR code, but it is really easy. Johnny was absolutely wonderful helping us pick out and recommend food items I believe he was the manager. This place needs to go viral! For drinks it's soda cans, tea, and select beer. Reasonably priced we will be coming back read more
Not being a local can sometimes lead to hit or misses. But this was a hit. The quality of the food is great. Very delicious. The flavor of the Mongolian beef was so good. And the chow fun noodles had great texture and taste. You order via a QR code but you pay with the waiter. They still help through the ordering process. Really good place to check out. read more
