Had issues with the tablet and when I tried to explain the confusion to the staff, they repeatedly cut me off and wouldn't let me properly explain what I was seeing, confidently insisting on what they assumed the problem was. They just ended up wasting more of my "20 minutes". Ontop of that the amount of guest they turned away was baffling. If you want a better experience, stick with Panda Express where they are upfront about what you can order and always treat you right.

Can't really compare to places that do their own poke bowls, but the amount of tuna was not that much and I'll be honest, I wish there was at least a little more variety to this (choosing the protein for the poke, but alas). Other than that, the menu has the standard affair of pasta, Mexican dishes, chicken, salad, burgers, etc. Almost $200 for 4 people, so it was already a pricey start to the day and the fact that it was for just okay food that can easily be found elsewhere, I think I'd skip dining here unless it was super lively or there was more seasonal menu items.

We split the entrees between my wife and I so we can try both plates. We ordered the following: Brisket Breakfast Burrito: Labeled as their "#1 Seller" and rightfully so! If you go really early and the parking attendant isn't there to give you a ticket, the servers inside the restaurant will stamp a receipt for you that you give the attendant on the way out that you'll use as a validated ticket. If you're craving super fresh poke, 8 OZ Poke is the spot! Every time I come here, the fish tastes like it was just caught -- super tender, flavorful, and always top quality. I got a bowl with spicy tuna, fresh tuna, seaweed salad, crab mix, avocado, and rice, and it was absolute perfection. The portions are generous, and they don't skimp on the toppings. I also love that they sprinkle sesame seeds on top, adding that extra little crunch and flavor. Our server even went above and beyond by asking if I wanted my toppings and protein mixed for me -- which is always tricky since I end up spilling it when I try to do it myself. She mixed everything perfectly, making it so much easier and extra delicious. You can really tell they care about the ingredients and the presentation. The spicy mayo chicken bowl was pretty spicy for me (I have a medium tolerance lol), and ordering kimchi on the side was a good idea! It definitely helped balance out the flavors! Also, the prices can't be beat! Each bowl/salad was around $12/$13. Not bad! Parking was a little tight, but manageable! And there were a few spots to sit inside as well. Definitely worth it to eat there if there's space available! All in all - a solid four stars! I wish the air conditioning was on, though the inside was still comfortable. And it was a bummer that they didn't have water available / only for purchase, and I do wish there was a bit more rice in the spicy mayo chicken bowl! Again, the chicken was so flavorful, I needed just a bit more rice! All minor reasons to not get 5 stars from me, but I would definitely come back here! And - the kindness of the cashier/staff was a solid 5 stars! Thanks for a yummy experience!

The staff is friendly, and fast, and we've been going so often for so long that they have seen my daughter grow up from when she was a baby. I've been to other sushi restaurants, including fancier, more expensive ones, and the only one I ever liked as much was Sazanami, the restaurant operated by the same owner, which sadly closed after COVID. My favorite is the Combo B with eel, but sometimes I'll have some of my wife's Philadelphia roll, which is also excellent. I'm in my 50's, and Sushi Don is absolutely my favorite restaurant I've ever been to in my life, I love the food so much. We had sushi at 2 other places this month because we were out of the area, and each time I thought "I wish this was Sushi Don". Writing this review made me want to go again, so I talked to my wife, and she agreed we will go there the next time we go out to eat. I should have written this review years ago.

I had sushi delivered and it came by way of robot and with no cooling inside robot box. Eeeooww. I know what you're thinking, it's not their fault. Yes it is. They can easily got to robotdelivery@uber.com and opt out. Putting delivery drivers, ya know people trying to make a buck, out of work is bad enough, but to have raw food delivered painstakingly slow by a robot is a horrible idea. Do you know how many times I've been on Ventura Blvd at Laurel Tavern and you see people stopping those robots on the sidewalk. Messing with them, walking in front of them, taking selfies with them. Sorry, but I can't recommend Studio Sushi to anyone who wants delivery and for that reason 2 stars. Ditch the robot and I will update this review with five stars it deserves. It's tough love and tough $hit.
