And since it's a plaza, there should be plenty of parking. The restaurant has a bit of a rustic feel to it. It's counter service so you can order with your group accordingly without having to split a tab. The tables are a bit cramped in there. We were here during the pandemic, but I can't recall if the tables were spaced out for distancing. I had already eaten earlier in the day and this was a little bit spur of the moment, but I only got to partaken in a little bit of the chicken. They have a ayce sides bar, but I cant recall if it was limited due to the pandemic. We orderedthe soy garlic chicken. They were all bone in wings and drums. I think they might be single fried and the breading is lighter than some other KFC that I've had in the Bay. It was good, these are a little wetter in sauce than other preparations that I've had. Now that this place has gone through some changes in the past few years I feel it is time for an updated review. One major thing that I noticed was the addition of a chicken sandwich on the menu. I guess there is a widespread craze over chicken sandwiches at the moment. But I'm so glad that the rest of the menu stayed the same because I would be heartbroken if any of the original flavors of chicken were gone. My family and I dined here on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated right away. The restaurant was actually empty when we arrived. It seems like this restaurant is getting more to-go orders than dine in customers. Since we were dine in, the policy is still 5 wings per person. We ordered the combination plate and 5 pc regular fried chicken. Before the pandemic, my favorite part of dining in is the self serve salad bar and rice. It was such a good deal because you can get as much sides as you wanted. Now post-pandemic, each person is given a box of sides to go with the chicken. This spot is such a hidden gem - but not really hidden lol. Their menu is simple - Korean fried chicken. When you dine in, you get access to the rice cooker and salad / veggie bar. My fav! If you dine-in, they have a self-serve bar with unlimited rice, salad, daikon, jalapeños, ranch, water/hot-tea, etc. They also have plastic gloves and a container for chicken bones so things won't get too messy. Still by far my favorite KFC spot in the area. I've been going since they first opened in 2007. I have 5 of my pictures on the wall. I swear all the chicken here has a bit of fairy dust (probably the MSG, but I don't mind) . It stays crispy despite it being heavily sauced. My opinion on the KFC sauces: -PLAIN. So good. I just need a bit of ketchup and rice, and that's all I need. The chicken is nicely brined and juicy, which pairs well with the crispy batter. -SOY SAUCE GARLIC. The best one in my opinion. I "swear" Hawaii gets it's garlic chicken recipe from this place. -SPICY. Basically a sweet gochujang ketchup. Very good, but it can be in the spicy side if you're not used to gochujang. -HONEY. Not worth it. It tastes overwhelmingly like honey and nothing else. Not too much balance to this sauce. Here's how it works, you sit at a table. You order your chicken, sides and beveragws. Then you go to the salad bar, and you load up your disposable cutlery with salad, sauces and rice. Water is also self serve. The tin bucket on your table is what I like to call the "graveyard" for all the chicken bones. Tips: -You will need to do at least one 1/2 order of chicken(5pcs) per person or full order (10 pcs) for every two people to get access to the salad bar. -Use the tin can on the table for your chicken bones. -There are disposable gloves you use as well. I usually use one hand gloves to handle the saucy chicken and the other hand to scoop rice -Get a pickled radish from the salad bar. So one of my friends had recommended this place a while back and it took me just way too long for me to try this place out. While waiting, I decided to check out the salad bar. They had a bunch of salad and some dressing and it was just perfect for me. Salad healthy! I don't know how much becomes not healthy enough but I think I had 3-4 plates of it haha. They also had rice and maybe soup? But I didn't get to touch that. This is free only for people that are dining in and isn't the case if you take out ($2 If you are doing take out). The chicken wasn't salty at all like you would expect on the soy sauce but was actually sweet (I loved it). It is made just perfect and eating the crunch off the deep fried chicken is delicious. There are 6-7 pieces of drumstick and 3 pieces of the wing instead of half half which was better for me because I loved the drumstick flavor more. The original flavored one was the crispiest, and the chicken skin kinda reminded me of fried pork skin / chicharrones. Haven't been here in 3 years since our last bad experience with the dude chasing after us in the parking lot because he lost his merchant copy receipt -__- the prices here are surprisingly better than BonChon's at 20.99 for 10 pieces and the drums are bigger! Bonchon charges 24.99 for 10 pieces and it's smaller. They no longer have the love wings so we went with half sauce wings which was like a sweet and tangy sauce and the honey wings. Food was great but service still could improve and the salad bar is still good! Docked a star because they put the to go orders before us even though we were waiting 20 minutes. I'd still come back read more
