We came here around 5 pm when they opened for their dinner service. It's in a plaza so there is plenty of parking. When we came, there was one other family there besides me and my girlfriend so it was actually not busy at all. Someone points us to a table and brings us menus at the table we sat at. When they take your order, they bring you disposable gloves, napkins, and plates to go to the salad bar (dine in only). For food, we got kimchi for a side, pretty good tasting kimchi. We got fries as well, just normal crinkle cut fries, nothing too special but is a good side dish. We got the combination chicken, pretty sure it's a mix of sweet sauce, soy sauce, honey, and original. Don't know if I'm completely correct but I'm guessing. Overall they were all so good, huge pieces of chicken by the way. The place is pretty average for the size and when it gets busy I could see how the wait times could be pretty heavy. Honey garlic chicken: 2/5, The chicken wasn't super crunchy. They also give a mix of drum sticks and chicken wings. Their sauce didn't have a strong garlic flavor. It just tasted sweet. I also wish there was more sauce. Korean sauce chicken: 2/5, the waitress described the flavor to be similar to gochujang. We got mild so it wasn't spicy at all. It had a slight sweetness. Sadly the ambiance feels like a shell of what it was. A while ago they made the change from their regular plates to paper plates. The most recent change is that rice is no longer included when dining in. It is $3 per bowl instead of self serve. It would be easier to stomach if each plate of chicken came with a bowl of rice as the goal of the change seems to be portion control. The paper plates are given when the chicken comes out, so you weren't able to get our veggies before then. But the ownership has changed, the vibe has changed, the prices and policies have changed... so a review update is long overdue. I know everything is more expensive now than 15 years ago, but it really felt like we were getting nickel-and-dimed here. Want rice with your chicken? $3 per serving. Need a takeout box for leftovers? 75 cents each. Repeated reminders not to waste the free salad... and don't even think about taking any to go. That's aside from prices doubling over the years... $29-32 for 10 pieces now, where it used to be $13-15 for the same. (I know, I know, inflation.) The salad dressing has been swapped out. It used to be an awesome miso dressing, now it's a similar-looking but very different peanut dressing. I don't remember the original fried chicken being so bland. Like completely unseasoned bland. I know they have the salt and pepper shaker, but the chicken has absolutely no flavor on its own. I guess it's fine? But again, now there's other nearby spots like bb.q and Vons that do it better. Hence, restaurant at half capacity on a Saturday at dinner time. I guess that's one silver lining, there used to be a wait for tables here. Glad we tried it again, but no need to ever return. Gone are the customer photos lining the walls (there's now a slideshow of these photos playing in the corner of the restaurant). So, I never got a chance to eat here because there's a hidden minimum orders for this restaurant. I went there around 7:20 to meet up with my friend with my cousin, three people. My friend ate dinner so we ordered one order of half n half chicken with large beer. Waitress said that if we ordered just one chicken (half n half chicken), the third person cannot eat the side dishes and asked us to order another chicken or 5 pieces of wings. We told the waitress that my friend will just drink beer and we will be ordering more beer. BUT, waitress said the restaurant doesn't allow that and insisted to order another chicken since the restaurant has a minimum order per person so my friend has to order another order of chicken or he cannot even drink a beer. We asked the waitress what if we ordered the French fries for my friend and the waitress said the french fries don't count as an order.
