We order from here on a regular basis from work. The fried chicken tender salad is my favorite and it is a huge portion. I've tried some of their po boys and other sandwiches and have never had anything I didn't like. I picked up an order last time for about eight people and she verified everything right there in front of me to make sure it was correct. There was one mistake but she got it fixed really quick and had me in and out within a few minutes. Since I had two drinks and two bags of food she offered to help me take it out to my car. Came here for lunch with my family on the way to the airport, heading back to CA. My nephew is a regular here, so figured it would be pretty decent. Had the jalapeno burger and an order of onion rings. The batter on the onion rings was great, stayed on the rings (something that's sadly not that common). The burger was really flavorful. We decided on 9ers tonight and unfortunately was reminded why we don't eat here more often. This used to be a place for a burger or more but seems to have gone down and it starts in the kitchen. We were greeted by the same lady we usually see and placed our order. Then our food came in sections which was odd. We were going to start with Texas toothpicks however they arrived with some of our food. The toothpicks were not their typical goodness, the batter was sloppy and falling off the onions and jalapeños. They tasted as they had been fried in old oil as well as very dark (sorry no pics this time). My son got a burger and fries which he seemed to be okay with and I had a baked potato with grilled chicken. Chicken was dry and flavorless but edible. My wife got a BLT which looked to have possibly 6 pieces of bacon which to me is too few for BLT. Her fries were dark and soggy and appeared to have been fried in same oil as toothpicks. We used to eat at this place all of the time but the food started getting sloppy and oily so we have gaps between when we go and not. I'll give this place another shot in the future and perhaps they are good at somethings and possibly that's what you should order but we haven't found those yet. My wife and I used to come here quite often. Now we won't go back at all unless forced. I got a migas with hash browns and a drink. My wife an omelette and a drink. 24.00 breakfast is supposed to be the cheapest meal of the day. Not here. Our hash browns were the same size as McDonald's but thinner. My migas was supposed to have 3 scrambled eggs in it. Only had 2 and that's stretching it. And everything was greasy!!! Higher prices, amount of food cut in half, bought new dishes (fancier) and prices higher. Oh and someone brings your food to you. I could have gotten more and better food from a food truck, McDonald's or Sonic than here. They used to have great food and service. Now it looks like their competition has gotten to them. My first time to dine-in was recently. The Greek salad with grilled chicken was great, the chicken was far from dry and full of flavor. My mom loves the salads she picks one up almost ebery week. This place has more hits and misses on a few things. They offer your basic American fares, such as burgers and sandwiches. Their country fried steak is not very consistent, sometimes great, other times much greasier and fried too crispy, where half is not edible. My husband really enjoys their philly cheesesteak and their burgers. Their salads are big and delicious, and they have a good selection of salad dressings. We never tried their desserts, but they seem to have a good selection there as well. So if you want your typical American place, they wouldn't normally disappoint, but you would never know when it will be a hit or a miss (granted, more hits for us). My husband and I came here for breakfast. I would give zero stars for mine. I had the Migas. It was way to greasy, over cooked, and no flavor. My husband had the ham and eggs, which he liked ok.m, so the two stars. The restaurant is very loud, especially for a morning location. I don't mind a loud location for sports, etc, but my morning I prefer a little quieter. They had the music blasting on the radio, so we had to hear loud commercials, get an iPod or something. The worse was the guy yelling ticket numbers for orders that were ready for pick up. And he would keep repeating the number before giving the customer a chance to get the counter. We know it's a cardinal rule, you never turn customers away. Ever. As a former waitress, if we closed at 10 and a party of 5 walks in at 9:59, I'm serving them. Period. And for the record, we were going to place it to go but phones were not even being answered at 9:15. We did take into consideration it was within the hour of closing so we thought we would be respectful and not make staff wait on us to get finished eating to start breaking down/cleaning. This has the worst service! Went Sunday for lunch and I was tripled charge, instead of giving me a refund (cause they messed up on my order) they charged me and "tried" to fix it and put it back on my card. Than I tried to reorder another entree for my fiancé and the same thing and they didn't refund my money like they were suppose to. All three transactions went through and I even spoke to the OWNER over the phone and she was no help! She didn't even want to come to the restaurant to solve this issue, in person so I could show her my receipts and my checking account that had the transactions. I'm not generally one who leaves reviews ever but the experience I had today is a special circumstance because of how many times this has happened and me specifically writing special instructions. The food is good however the staff can't follow simple instructions or read how you wish your food to be prepared. I specifically wrote thru door dash "please remember the gravy" for the chicken fried chicken. I know it's not door dash delivery driver who failed to deliver all the food correct except the gravy because this is the 4th time in the past 8 months they have forgotten. One time I should've checked before I left when I picked up the order but the other 3 times I have specifically left instructions to please remember the gravy. When I called back to inform them (again I'm not the type of person who complains about these type of things) but they were unhelpful and basically said too bad there's nothing we can do. I'd expect a meal that comes with a side to not be forgotten and for me to have to ask them to please remember and they still forget on 3 separate occasions is unacceptable. read more
