They could not get their own tools to work (crustbuster machine). While they worked to get that started they were not using the hose to suck up the waste. Last night my septic tank backed up and I knew it was time to get it pumped ASAP. It hasn't been pumped since I bought the house in 2017. We needed an emergency septic tank pump out on New Year's Eve. We called around to several septic tank companies and mostly got a recorded message to call after new years or leave a message. A advanced septic and construction had a real person answer who scheduled next day service. The technician on call had a long day and was 4 hours late but worked into the night and finished in the dark, restoring our plumbing malfunction. He did a complete evaluation, took no shortcuts, and explained every step of the way what he was doing and why. GRIFTERS TRY TO JUSTIFY A SCAM, AND NOT VERY WELL Great story by owner Gunia-- parts of it are even true. (1) Advanced was hired by my tenant at my direction but the $1,100+ was paid by me; (2) Advanced was told the location of the septic tank lid. Technician missed it by inches but claimed he couldn't locate because was 4-feet down. In fact was 4-INCHES down. Incompetence? Laziness? You judge; (3) It cost me $435 to get someone else to finish the job, i.e., pump out septic tank; (4) After I determined that Advanced had ripped me off and wasn't going to finish the work, I did file complaints-- like I told them I would. What else should I have done? Paid them more money? I think not. These guys are big scammers-- read some of their other reviews, not just mine. They really came to our rescue. I had Covid so was staying home when our septic tank needed to be pumped as it was full and overdue. They were able to get us scheduled and emptied two days later when other places were a week out. I hired A Advanced to pump a septic for a real estate sale. I made my appointment with Kim, and was told I needed to have a card on file to book the appointment. I explained that I was a listing agent and they would need to invoice my client. I was assured that I would not be charged. I discussed with them that we didn't know the exact location of the lids and asked if they had an as-built for the property, which they assured me they did. They showed up for the pump and were there less than 10 minutes before deciding they couldn't find the lids. They left without even getting a shovel out. I was told they were sending my job to a different department for an estimate to find the lids. I called dispatch at A Advanced immediately to tell them I couldn't wait (I spoke to Malachai) I was under a time crunch so I hired another company who came out the next day and completed the job. Then I noticed a charge to my card for $250, which I called immediately to ask why I was being charged when no work was done. I have been calling and waiting on a response for weeks. What a great company! Started off a little rough with the gentlemen who came out to pump our tank, but I understand everyone has bad days. We bought our current home year and half ago and with in months starting experiencing issues with our toilets backing up. After getting the run around and temporary fixes from other companies and spending up to $4,000 for these "shitty" fixes, we finally got answers. We were told that our tank was flooding which is why we were having the issues. Advanced provided quote and set the appointment. Crew arrived on time and the guys were amazing!!!! I was in their way and asking all kinds of questions the entire time. Not once did they seem irritated with all the questions I asked (like the guy who pumped the tank, again, we all have bad days) but encouraged the questions. Did customer service die? Bob, who apparently has been doing this for 30 years, does not know how to be friendly to customers. I paid over $700 to have my tank pumped, not terrible, and the guy who did it was very nice and explained everything that he was doing and everything that might be wrong. He then explained that his company could not perform the pipe replacement that needed to be done, but that he'd contact a company to get the job done. Bob cam out and sent me a $4200 quote to do a list of things that the first guy did the day before. Then, when I called Aadvance to discuss, they put me through to Bob so he could explain the quote....what a jerk! Bob would not go into detail on how they came to the $4200 price. He added all of the work I had done the day before, pumping, digging, adding risers (i didn't want or need) to the quote and insisted they needed to leave it on there in order to cover the warranty. Then, to top it off, he yelled that I only have two options: 1) pay him what he quoted to fix the system, or 2) pay someone to design a whole new tank. The repair was done by a professional for $800, not $4200 that Aadvance quoted me! Please take the time to reach out to a different company for a quote. read more

Had an appointment from 8am-1pm arrival. They showed up at 7pm. 11 hours waiting. The ladies in the office said there were emergency calls for the reason. The guys that showed up exact words were, "what emergency calls? We were down the street in earlier in the day and did not know we were waiting. The ladies did not even have us on the schedule." Their own words. This was my 3rd time trying to use this company. 1st time they put a locator pill down the drain due to not being where they thought the septic should be. Claimed the tank was in the middle of my yard 30+feet away. Completely WRONG. It was 10ft away exactly where the as-built had it. Only reason used them the 2nd time was they offered a discount since I proved how WRONG they were with their expert and his locating devise. Now they double charged my credit card. Did not catch their own mistake and claim they won't process my refund for another week. Which will be almost 3 weeks to get my refund since I did not know happened until I got my statement. I'm writing this review to share my experience with Advanced septic and to warn people about terralifting. I noticed some signs about a year and a half ago that my septic system was failing. Bad smells and pooling water. I called 2 different companies out to take a look. One recommended complete replacement. The other (advanced septic) recommended terralifting. They explained the process and also mentioned a 2 year warranty. So what did I have to lose in at least trying right? Well, the answer to that question was about $4000 dollars. Here I am, a year and a half later, with a still failing septic system that needs to be replaced. Oh but the warranty? Yeah advanced septic will only reimburse $1800 of that $4000 and only if I go through their septic designer and them for the installation of that septic system. Which I found advanced septic to be significantly higher than other companies and prefer now to not go through them. I've spoken with 4 different septic designers/engineers who have all told me that terralifting is just a bandaid and isn't a permanent solution to a falling septic system. Bottom line is if your septic system is failing, the only permanent solution is to replace whatever component is failing. Wether it be the tank, drain field or both. It sucks, yes. Septic systems are anywhere from $10,000-20,000 (depending on who you go through and type of system needed).Please don't waste your time or money on terralifting like I did. Just bite the bullet and do it right the first time. read more

BEWARE!!!! Do not use this company!!! Charged for services not required or needed!! Needed a required septic tank inspection and had used Advanced Septic 2 years earlier no problems with pumping my septic tank. This time out they told me I needed carpentry work to access my septic tank. Approximately $800 when I called and asked about it was I was told it needed to be rebuilt. But all they did was remove 2 boards. After many phone calls and emails with photos they reduced it $650. A lot of money to remove 2 boards. Also was told I needed my outlet line jetted for $350 and I agreed to have it done but when they came out the driver said he didn't have the right truck to do it. I told him to have someone come back and do it but no one ever came back or called. I received a letter from Pierce County saying I needed to have my outline jetted or they would fine me. Called Advanced septic back and explain what had happened and was told they didn't care, it would be $399 for the first 1/2 hr and $399 for each additional 1/2hr with no idea how long it would take. Called other companies everyone was cheaper with fixed price. Sterling septic agreed to do it for $285. When they came out and looked at it they called me and said my outlet line was fine and didn't need to be jetted!!!!! Called Advanced septic back and explained what happened and again was told they didn't care. I asked to be reimbursed for services not needed and was basically hung up on. I called right back and was told that person had left for the day 2:10 in the afternoo. I then asked to speak with the owner and was told he was out of town. I am still waiting for that call. In June of 2020 A Advanced Septic came out to our place for a Drain Field Rehab. Prior to that service, we had been nervous anytime we had company. Would the system hold up, even though we were all careful, with the extra flushing of toilets and showers? The techs who arrived right on time were personable and efficient, getting right to work. Days and weeks afterward we could see that the system was working well. Thirteen months later, in July of 2021, we hosted a week of family get-togethers which involved many meals and one extra overnighter. In previous years we would have rented a Porta Potty. After keeping an eye on our system this past year, though, we were confident that our system would hold up. Just the same, when everyone returned home and we debriefed about the past reunion week, we realized that A Advanced Septic had performed brilliantly! I preface this review by saying that this company did some good work last year that was not reviewed and that is why they got two stars. I called these guys out to do a sketch of a septic system before a sale. During this they found a broken pipe 6 feet from the tank. They had to call an estimator in and I got bad news that the drain fields were no good and I would need a whole new system. The guy gave a ballpark estimate of at least $30k if we were lucky. I got a referral for a no bs honest local guy who did tests on the field and system. The fields and tank were fine and he could repair the pipe for $800. He stated he would use this system with no worries for another 20-25 years. We got it all fixed up and it works great. Make sure to get another opinion for any big jobs. read more

But all of a sudden after paying the bill he would not sign off on it because he hadn't installed it. So he want more money to dig it up and reinstall it. LOL So I had to pay twice for the same work. I have used this company probably a couple dozen times over the past 15 years for multiple properties. I have been very happy with their services in the past but the last few years I've started to become pretty disappointed. Not sure what changed with the customer service philosophy, but I've really started suspecting that I'm being lied to about services required and services actually performed. The most recent time they were out at my home I watched them drop a shovel into my tank and not say anything. There was a supervisor on site as well who saw this and also didn't say anything. When I asked them about it, they finally admitted they did it but said it was fine. Didn't offer to pump my tank down and retrieve the shovel or anything. In addition to this event, I have also had several techs at my rental properties over the last few years that have recommended I not rent to certain demographics (Mexicans, Asians, African Americans) because "they cook with lots of grease" and it's not good for the system. But it's okay because they lower their voices when they say it. I will not be using this company in the future and would recommend you find someone else as well. read more

I had this business out to pump and clear for new baffles inside an hour the price was up to 8,000 plus. They dug up and broke the cover and vent tube to our tank, never checked for baffle replacement,When l told them the price was too high,and asked the cover be replaced they delayed and never came back to put in to seal against my grand children falling in to tank. I just moved into my home the past year and wanted to have to have my septic pumped for peace of mind. They were quick with communication and arrived within a few hours of their target. The two people that showed up were kind, but like another reviewer mentioned, the main lead came out and poked a few hold in my yard and said it was going to take a lot of digging, soil was hard, etc. When I asked him how long it would take (at the $85 per 1/2 hour he quoted to dig), he said he wasn't sure but a recent job took them 4 hours. It was nothing more than a scare tactic, and obvious that they did not want to do it. When I told them to forget it, they said fine and charged me $231 just to come out. At that point I said to just empty the tank, which he replied again, dragging his feet, and that it was going to take so long, etc. etc. I was pressed for time so I wrote them a check and decided to take it up with the management. "Adam" texted me to follow up, I explained my experience, he responded by telling me that he listened to the initial call and I was not misquoted, which was not even my issue, so frustrating. I let him know I was not happy, he said he would escalate this to the foreman and have him give me a call and he will have the team reach out to me. A week later, no call, I asked him when someone would call me, he then gave me a number and told me to call Abel. I am so frustrated with this company and their follow up is horrible. read more
