We were surprised to find out our lunch would take 25 minutes to be ready, given that it wasn't super busy. While the enchilada short stack was super tasty (hearty, and the potatoes were prefect), the crema on the Griff tasted quite strange, almost like it had spoiled. Sorry I have to give only 2 stars, but waiting over an hour to get ones food is unacceptable. Not being a Vegan I can't give an expert opinion, however it was flavorful, just too greasy. They were really busy and warned me it would take up to 40 minutes to get my food which was fine with me. I waited patiently and ordered their Bloody Mary which was really good and refreshing. When my food was eventually ready, I was surprised to see what I was served. I ordered a quesadilla, but what I was served was a bed of rice, black beans, a corn tortilla, and what I think was cheese dressing. This is a VERY unassuming gem of a food cart which, if you didn't know it was there, you would miss it. The woman (owner?) that took our order was very friendly, just the type of person you would expect at a vegan food cart. I ordered the mega burrito and I swear it weighed 3lb and was bigger than my forearm!! Loaded with chunks of potato, eggs and kelp not to mention FLAVOR! My husband ordered the Big Country dish which had delicious biscuits smothered in gravy and loads of eggs and veggies. Enough to feed a small village! When I first arrived there was a 1 hour wait for food, so I ordered, took a walk, and got a text about 45 min later saying my food was ready. I really appreciated that flexibility. Wow! This place has been suggested to us for over a year now and for some reason we never were able to check it out until now. It was definitely worth every fabulous comment I heard prior to eating there today. I shared a Mt. I was only able to eat two bites of the grilled super burrito before I realized it had mushrooms. (Other items on the menu had the word "mushroom" included in their description. The best vegan food in Bend, hands down. Everything on the menu is spot on, extremely tasty and filling, and made from scratch, not from highly processed fake cheeses and meats like some places. They even grow some of the produce themselves in summer! Chef Richard is a perfectionist in the kitchen and we have not once had anything under or over cooked, never anything dry or mushy.
