I was rolling down Sherman Way and thought, "hmmm I feel like a milk tea and boba!" So I pulled over to the side and hopped on Yelp. The closest one in my area was 4 mins away called a tea thing. I rolled up and parking was pretty bad. One section looks like it's one way so you can't even go down that section for parking if you are on the opposite of the entrance side. I also almost saw a car ram into another one for a park. They be fighting for parks over there lol. Anyway, I snagged a park and headed inside. Once inside, the place was very clean, with nice music playing and it was pretty busy with the two workers preparing drinks to get the rush out before me, so it took them a second to help me. It was all good because I was getting familiar with the menu. After they finished about 4 orders, they called me over to take my order. I had several questions and asked for suggestions. She was very helpful and I wanted to try something different so I went with a mango milk tea with 75% sugar lmao. It was probably the worst decision I could have made. I hated it and would never get it again anywhere, so it's not their fault. Would I go back again? Absolutely! I love their cups and the presentation. I'm pretty positive the drinks I'm familiar with are solid so I''ll stick to what I know, which is regular milk teas, taro and fruit teas. I also want to try their tornado drinks which are blended. Sooo good Came back and tried their popcorn latte and it's strong and flavorful. Definitely recommend you try it if you like texture in your drinks. The person who took my order was very sweet and said this is a very popular drink in Korea & that the corn is not overwhelming in the drink & she was 100% right! 10/10 recommend coming here if you like strong coffee with unique flavors
Drinks were good but I've had better in the area. Prices are a little high but comparable. No herbal options. Service is efficient and friendly. Ambience has dim lighting and a nice hang out vibe.
I love this place and all of the employees are very friendly! The matcha 10/10 and I love the new vibe here :). Their Croffles are also really good I have yet to try them all
Came in around 7PM on a Friday and it was super busy, but luckily there was still plenty of seating inside and parking available. I ordered the Oat Cream Oolong Fresh Milk Tea (32oz, 0% sweet) and it was SO good. The drink was creamy without being too heavy, and the topping paired really well with it. Also, the size for the price was pretty reasonable at $8. This will definitely be my go-to order, but I'm excited to come back and try more of their drinks!
Tried this new spot today. I felt like I had been here before, but I can't recall. Not sure if that's a good thing or if all boba places just look the same to me now. I go to so many, and only a few stand out as unique; most tend to have the same layout, tables everywhere, the same colored walls, a bathroom in the corner, and their menu close to the register. This is pretty much the same; nothing inside caught my attention as unique or wowed me in any way. The staff member was bland, kind of like she was over her day, not excited to say hello or sell me some tea. Just "Can I take your order?" She did help me choose my drink and helped me with the choices, but I would say it was a bland interaction. Boba was good; I got the tropical tea, which was good, and got another tea for my lady. I did not try it, but she said it was good. Teas were pretty good, standard but nothing special like I said; the place felt like your average boba spot, nothing I would go out of my way for, especially when I live in Noho and I have better options over there. Unfortunately, if I do come back to the Reseda area, I prefer Bon Bon Tea House. So I may not return here for a while unless my girl wants her drink; she claims they made her brown sugar tea really well.
Ordered on DoorDash. The drinks came without a seal on the lids. This is not a healthy and clean practice. I called back the place to suggest that in the future, they may want to put a tape on the lids for safety on deliveries, the girl put me on hold and then hang up after 5 minutes. Never got a chance to tell them. Just saying!
Very good boba! I did ask for 100% sweetness and it was VERY sweet, I recommend 50% for a normal sweetness amount. Reasonably priced, and many places to sit! Service was great, the employees were all so nice.
a tea thing is one of my favorite boba spots in the valley so this is a long overdue review! parking: can be a little difficult sometimes. same plaza as the dennys. what's weird is that there's a section with double parking. on weekend nights parking can be a little tough, but spots will clear up with patience inside: lots of seating, very clean. i like the minimal aesthetic they got going on. there is tables, outlets, & wifi if you ever want a boba spot to work or spend some time hanging out at. drinks: my ultimate favorite right now is their green thai tea! it's floral & just the right amount of sweetness. what i like about a tea thing is that their drinks are consistent, their workers do a great job with the drinks even during a rush!
Just happened to be here. Saw this quaint little place. Great vibes so i decided to try it. I did a strawberry milk and is was fantastic. Boba is fresh milk was great. Service was super quick I would recommend this place for you guys to try

Added A Tea Thing to my bookmarks after encountering limited options for milk teas in the SFV area (versus SGV)... and finally gave it a try! Compared to most quick service cafes and tea places that I've been to, service was not the most welcoming. Sometimes, there may be 3-4 staff working but all in the kitchen. (Perhaps they could invest in a camera or a sensor?) A mixed drink I've never seen was the Thai Green tea - despite how basic it is - and I have to admit I could conceptualize the flavor but didn't quite enjoy it. Perhaps it was the 25% sugar adjustment, but this is generally enough for my taste buds, and it did feel bland. I will admit their small to large size ratio is quite drastic... but without a middle option.. gotta get that bang for he buck, but with no middle option feels a bit pressuring. Drink aside, parking was easy to find here, albeit the location itself didn't feel the most safe. There was a good trickle of customers on a late Friday afternoon, and the atmosphere was otherwise light. Staff were often socializing and at times not present at the front but rather in the kitchen.

Came in to try the new Matcha Menu! Once again, staff is very friendly and efficient. The drinks came out on time and the vibe of the cafe is amazing. Hats off to whomever's playlist usually playing when I come in because it definitely sets an amazing vibe inside the cafe. read more

I absolutely love coming here! The ambiance is great for either a chat with a friend or to get some work done. As for the drinks, I think I've tried the whole menu at this point, and even the drinks that I'm not a huge fan of were delicious! My favorite is the coconut cream viet coffee, with their honey kumquat being a close second. Definitely worth the visit if you haven't been! read more

Met my girl Larissa here for some Boba today. This place was in my "boba" collection for a while and I was happy to finally check it out. The area was a bit dodgy but inside is quite nice. Very clean, spacious with plenty of seating. I ordered the Strawberry Banana Tornado which is a blended drink. They had 2 sizes - I went with the smaller size with my free add on of boba. A few of the boba were a bit hard but I still enjoyed my drink. The employees were very nice and our drinks order was made quickly. Lots of people coming in and out while we were there. *FYI- The teas only come in the larger size. *No room out front to sit which was a bummer. *Plenty of parking in the lot *Remember to check in and use their "Free Add on" coupon when ordering or save it for later on yelp. read more

Randomly came across A Tea Thing while driving around in the valley. It's a small Tea cafe located in a busy shopping center in Reseda, CA. Parking was a breeze and I was in and out quickly. The place itself isn't big and it doesn't really have any aesthetic going on. It's very bland. However, it was very clean! So I'll take clean overlooks. There is seating inside and you could potentially bring your laptop if you wanted to get some work done. They offer milk teas, cream drinks, coffee, tornado drinks, teas, etc... I went with a Thai Iced Tea with crystal boba and my daughter got a mango pineapple tornado. The drinks were great! I'll be back! read more

The croffle has such a good taste. The cream isn't too sweet. It's literally perfect! As for the mango drinks... OMG so refreshing! The mango jellys were the amazing on these drinks. The workers were helpful and polite. Location was very clean and has a cool vibe as well. read more

From having ice cold drinks to their warm and sweet dessert pastries, I have been enjoying coming to A Tea Thing to splurge on a nice sweet drink. The staff inside are quick to take your orders and I had no problems with the quality of the drinks that I have been served. My personal favorite and go-to is the Oat Cream Milk Tea, and yes you can substitute the milk with oat milk, but the cream ontop is still dairy. As someone lactose intolerant, the drink is so delicious to not get and I don't necessarily have a big problem stomaching it anyways so lucky for me! You are free to choose a tea base for the drink with 3 options: jasmine, green, or oolong. I always get the oolong and feel like the two is a great pair. For Yelpies, check-in includes a free topping for your drink so if you feel like adding boba, keep that in mind! For me, boba is a very rare occurrence but I do remember feeling satisfied by the boba quality as well. Inside is always clean and well-maintained. Lots of people choose to leave rather than hang out inside, but me and my boyfriend love to stay at the tables. Parking lot is unfortunately dirty due to some lack of maintenance in clean-up and some individuals. Parking is usually easy to find although it can get limiting at times but there is extra parking near the back to the left (in a more darker area so beware!). The spot is situated beside other restaurants and shares the lot with other dessert shops as well. Restroom is for customers only and staff will assist you with opening the door for you. Definitely worth checking out when you're in the Valley! read more

Got the tornado taro with brown sugar boba. It was perfect. Perfectly sweet. Creamy, amazing flavored and the boba were perfect. Chewy, sweet and brown sugar taste. Definitely will be ordering from here again. read more
3.5 stars We ordered the large and I know the portion is big but I personally think the price is still way too expensive. The Thai tea was okay. I've tasted better. But it's nice that you can make customizations with sugar level and dairy substitutes. Drinks are made quickly. A Tea Thing !! I couldn't miss you more if I tried... or perhaps I could. The service here is fast and friendly. The drinks do the job well, but some can be a little more on the eh side (i had a black tea with orange that could not be enjoyed due to the orange seeds present in it!). Ambiance is always the same, can't complain. It's peaceful, quiet, and clean. All around a solid boba shop and delicious Croffle spot as well now!! Bravo. read more

Fast service. Delicious drinks and love the decor! My favorite drink is the tropical fruit tea with green tea 75% sugar. It's so refreshing! My hubby loves the mangonada! The cute cups are a plus as well. It's a thicker plastic that you really don't see at boba shops anymore. We always try and stop by when we're in the area read more

Great boba spot. When im in the area I always stop by and grab something. I usually get their iced teas they are all very refreshing and super tasty. Service: service is always excellent. Enthusiastic people with great customer service. When I'm in a hurry I order online and it's always ready when I get there. Parking: they have a private parking area.
