Maintnce tech told me unit was installed incorrectly, thus unit is "tilted" and isn't even. They used a very thin and cheap skirt that frames the insert...it warps and doesn't sit flush with brick fireplace that unit sits in after using fire for more than 30 mins. Just less than three months from our last service, the unit is not working again. Trying to get in touch with the owner "Wade" is almost comical, as emails or phone calls are only responded to if I use stern verbiage. Wade has been emailed about the unit being crooked, the thin warped skirt about the unit, and about the pilot flame being in-op....and nothing. I really would like to support and have something good to say about this buisness. However, it seems like they are hemorrhaging for quality customer service and staff to handle multiple customers and issues simultaneously.

The first time, we spoke with a Heather, who was one of the owners. She was polite and promptly emailed us a quote. We asked if they offered a military discount and she said no because said they had a very small profit margin. The only discount they offer is 35.00 off if you pay cash. My husband went away on business and when he returned, we went to look again and had a few more questions. We enquired about their return policy because in the event it didn't fit, we'd want to exchange it. She said they did not allow returns because it could be possible that we would damage the product. The person who helped us was the owners daughter and very nice, but didn't know her products and asked us to come back the following day to speak with her dad who was the father. My husband went back the next day to purchase the electric fireplace and ask the final questions just to be sure we had the right size, etc. Also, asked about returns and he also said no. So strange - don't they back up their products? Finally, the owner says to my husband, "my margin is very small and I've already given you more then enough time". Of course my husband left and did not buy the fireplace. Who in their right mind would after that comment? After reading all of their reviews, my review is no different. They have no idea what customer service means and definitely not patriotic to offer some small discount as a courtesy. And, what's interesting is these type of people can never find fault in themselves or take constructive criticism. Hope they go out of business. On a side note, ALL and I mean ALL electric fireplaces are made in China regardless if they have a manufacture site in the US. The owner of this store said it and so did the employee at Rich's. What does this mean? Hard to return, hard to repair, etc..

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

They came out to service and told us the sooting was caused by misplacement of logs over burner (they did the install), though the tech put on the work order it was caused by "log placement shifting". Obivous the sooting happened within the 1 year period, just happent to call them 2 months after period. $400 later. So much for exceeding customer expectations. As a small business owner for 28 years, not impressed, dont complain about big box retailers if you are not adding any additional value.

He then told us there was damage to the gas line and that he couldn't fix it.. Now we've hired a real plumber with experience with fireplaces and now we'll get this done right!

The technician turn on the air conditioning and went to the back yard. And come back to me said the compressor is toasted. The sound for that compressor is not right bra bra bra. I know the compressor.is working. The compressor run for 30 second and shut down wait for 2 minutes will start again and it shut down after 30 seconds, and it has good pressure inside the compressor. I paid $130 for that useless system diagnosis report. I have another guy come to check. The guy went up to attic, then he find that wet sensor is dead. That is the problem, $60 fixed. After we change it. The air conditioning is good now. I would never call this company again.

They spread new mulch and decorative rocks and gravel that helped map out the yard into defined areas. Tony has experience and it shows in the level of attention and detail. They also did an great job of cleanup afterwards. Landscaping is not cheap, and if done correctly, enhances your home value and makes you feel good to be in your back yard.
