His quick actions saved our very lives. We had no idea. I called Joe for a quote and he came right over. We knew our ductwork on the roof was bad and it was time to finally ditch the horrendous thousand-a-month heating bills. Joe started right on it the next day, 24 hours after I'd called. He came down from the roof after the ducts were removed: the previous guys had put no filter between the outside air intake and the unit, and anything could get in there and burn and it had. The gasket was completely burned away and the unit was actively pushing carbon monoxide down our vents. Which explained the headaches, the extreme fatigue, the dizziness, the weird red blood cell count on my labs two weeks earlier: we had carbon monoxide poisoning. Confirmed by the doctor. The CO alarm, it turned out, had been jarred slightly loose from the socket and we hadn't noticed. He showed me all the burn and rust marks in the unit and what should be solid metal moving freely. He made it my choice whether to try to repair it, he didn't push the expense of a new furnace at me, but truly, I told him, that thing had to go. Joe and his crew worked hard, day after day for eight solid days, to make it so we could have heat again--safely and with peace of mind. We have a warm house now for the first time all Fall. Anyone can replace a furnace and ductwork. The last guy used inside-type insulation outside. Joe, though, does it right. He really knows his stuff. No corner cutting--and at a reasonable price, not to mention that it's a joy to have a good person around doing his best and caring about his customers. You could not find a better man for the job. Joe couldn't have been nicer! He was prompt, professional, efficient, honest, & very reasonable. The unit for my air conditioner outside, was starting to make these really strange, loud noises. I was worried that something awful was getting close to happening, if I don't get someone to come check it out soon. I first tried contacting the company who had installed my a/c unit. The secretary said that it would be one whole week, until they could get somebody to come out! I didn't want to wait that long. He introduced himself and handed me his business card right away. He checked my unit inside first and then proceeded to check the outside one. He said that it probably just needs some maintenance & that he would need to clean it thoroughly because all of the coils on the outside were quite dirty. He quoted me & told me how much it was all going to cost upfront, before he even started anything. I felt that what he quoted me was very reasonable & fair! As he continued working, we talked and I will say, he is a very genuine & nice guy. After he was done, he put everything away where it needed to go and he cleaned up everything nicely. I had A-Z come in recently to check why my A/C wasn't blowing out cold air. They did some checking and concluded there was a leak and proceeded to seal the leak somewhere in the piping and recharged the refrigerant with NU-22. I was generally satisfied with the diagnostic work and the labor charge but I found out later I was way way overcharged for the NU-22. I did some online checking and found out that NU-22 generally costs $13 per lb but I was charged $89 per lb . A-Z made a profit of more than 700% on the refrigerant . I have no issue with them making even a 100% profit but making over 700% profit is excessive. I needed 11 lb to fill out my A/C system. Hence the total cost to recharge my A/C came out to be quite expensive. read more

My heater was out since Christmas. And the temperature in my house has been hovering around 50 degrees. I called Joe at 8:30am on Tuesday two days after Christmas and he was able to come out and diagnose on the same day. He came out and was able to diagnose the problem within the first 5 minutes. Joe was super friendly and able to fix the problem in 30 minutes. 15 of the minutes was him grabbing a part off site. At the end, he was able to electronically charge my credit card and didn't need to take an old school check. He suggested maintenance service and I definitely will go with him in the future. We had a bad experience with another repair company that we had come out to look at our air conditioning unit a few months ago. We won't be using them again...Unfortunately, our unit was not working again so we called and left messages for a handful of repair companies. They got the big job done efficiently, and he found a dryer duct that had been disconnected, and fixed it. He also serviced the furnace on the roof, and left the place as clean as when he got here. Three years ago the blower on my 40+ year old furnace went out, I needed a new one but just wasn't ready financially to get it done so Joe came out and replaced the blower motor for less than $300 and got me a few more years on my old furnace. It was winter, we were cold, and he got out house warm again in a day. Got some money put aside for the house, called Joe 2 weeks ago and he came over a few hours later to give me a quote on a new system. We had asbestos wrapped ducts under the house which had to be removed by another company which Joe referred my to and our electrical panel had to be upgraded to accommodate the AC unit. Joe also referred me to a great electrician who did the job in one day. The furnace, AC and new duct work went in last week, and I am really glad I had it done. Everything works great, Joe and Louie were super nice and left the place nice and clean when everything was done. They were great with my nosy little kids and my dogs loved them too! I usually am not fond of writing reviews but this is a must!!!! We had one heck of a crap job done by another company that our home insurance sent. They came 8 times in all and by then, we have given up on them... Our unit still did not have heat nor a/c even though we now have a new condenser, and the coolant fully filled with refrigerant. Fast forward, we found Joe on yelp and decided to go with him. He was very quick to take the call and even quicker to come out to have a look at the problem. He & his assistant found the leak within minutes (the previous guys had solder the brass line, making it look like a smoking pipe from the first century!) and had to buy a new part to install the line. I knew we were in good hands when he left all his stuff to go get the parts from the supplier! The price is reasonable and the work is awesome! After a 2.5 hour job, Joe fixed the line beautifully (the other guys really just did a sloppy job, running the line in a convenient but horribly twisted path) and the HVAC system works! I don't usually write reviews. I have been a long time customer and turned to Joe on multiple occasions. My furnace mother board started malfunctioning in 2014 winter. I got the same day appointment and got it replaced by Joe. There was a small glitch where Joe had to come over in a couple of days and had to swap a couple of wires that were incorrectly connected. He accepted honestly that it was his fault. It was not a major issue but still thermostat was misbehaving because of it. In 2015 summer, my AC condenser capacitor blew away and Joe promptly came over got it replaced in 15 mins. No BS, he got the job done without dragging time. His charges are very reasonable. In 2015 winter my furnace kept locking out every morning. I had to reset furnace via circuit breaker every time. I turned to Joe and he replaced the bad capacitor and a bad fuse. He didn't charge me for this appointment which is about 45 minutes. He honored the 2014 job's warranty. I had no warranty paper work or whatsoever. Finally, I think after working with him for 3 years I can conclude that he is very honest, fair, takes responsibility and fixes repairs as needed. He is my go-to-guy for all HVAC issues. read more

Joe replaced our 18-year old furnace in our old house yesterday. There were many challenges to the task but he overcame it all with his expertise. He did an exceptional job. He is very professional and extremely friendly. The price was also very reasonable. About a month ago, our heater stopped working right before Thanksgiving. He came to check it while most of other business were already on break. He explained to us that he could get it going for a short period, but we would need to replace it soon because the unit was too old. The following day the unit was still not working and when I emailed him he did not respond at which point I called and he did not answer. He finally came out the third day to repair it but left before anyone could check his work or find out what he did or need to do.
