Andres was very responsive to my questions and were open to handling the permit, which is often a challenge with other contractors. Adrian showed up promptly for install, arriving on time and got right to work. He was very thorough and the install looked great when he got done. You can tell he takes pride in his work. The issue I had with Greentop is the warranty registration, which was incorrectly registered with my name and contact info as the dealer. I traded a couple e-mails with Vera and was then ghosted. I ended up calling the manuf myself to have them at least correct the name of the dealer on my warranty registration to Greentop. They advised they couldn't change the contact info. I'm hoping I don't have any warranty issues down the line due to their error.

Unfortunately other companies we asked for quotes missed their appointments - but not Andrey. He thoroughly explained everything and did a thorough walk through. //COMMUNICATION AND QUOTE// I liked that Andrey followed up with us to check in with us. Again other quotes took more than 3+ days. Andrey had a quote within 1 business day. He emailed us asking if we had further questions. //DAY OF// Vasilly and his team (Mark, Ed, Lubec and Alex) arrived promptly! They did another thorough assessment and provided two solutions: Going through our attic or going along the exterior soffit. Our house has a unique challenge in that our siding is fiber cement with bricks in the wall. They were extremely communicative, cleaned thoroughly, and finished within ~5 hours. Everything turned out fantastic! They made everything look so clean and so sleek! We also had two cats and they were mindful of closing the doors and checking to make sure they never escaped (even at one point because they communicated through cell I heard Vasilly saying to make sure to close the doors so the cats don't escape lol) They explained to us everything and made us understood the unit and how to use it We're so happy with the customer service and would highly recommend this family run business to anyone

He was able to promptly provide a ballpark estimate for different options, and I picked one option to get a detailed quote. Also got two other quotes. Went with Goat to replace the furnace as well as an aging air conditioner with a new heat pump and furnace. Great service, got it installed quickly once Andrey received it. Price was great and very competitive with the other ones. House is warm and toasty, and energy bills are lower with the heat pump providing heating when it's not cold enough for the furnace. Would recommend and use again if needed.

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

We were referred to Aircare USA to have our air ducts cleaned. My husband called and asked for a…read morequote. He was sold on an "air scrubber". I asked him what that meant, he said it was like an air purifier. He was told we would be only paying for the air duct clean and the product itself. He was originally quoted $800 for the cleaning and the air scrubber for a $1600 package deal. We have an Aerus Air Scrubber cut in and installed into our HVAC system. As I walked in the door that night from work, I said, "why does it smell like an ozonator in here?" He asked me what that was. I explained that it was something that sucks the oxygen out of room to remove strong orders quickly. Companies that do Bio-hazard clean-up and restoration commonly use these machines. I am very familiar with this smell, as I have been in property management for 15 years. In fact, I own a small one for vacant homes. Ozone machines can make people very ill. My husband immediately notified Jim, the owner, that my son and I were smelling this odor and were getting headaches and our eyes were watering. It's important to note: we experienced NONE of these symptoms before AirCare USA. Jim claimed that they do not use ozone as they tried that once and he knows its bad. He had no idea what we could be smelling. Maybe it was the "sanitizer" they spray in the machine. He asked us to give it a little while longer. A week passed and still the smell was there and we were even more sick. I got on a step stool and unplugged the machine. When we called to ask them to remove it "100% Customer Guarantee" they pushed us out weeks. The day before the appointment I called Jim and asked how we would be reimbursed. He told me it would be up to Alex and he wasn't sure how much but he would cut us a check. Late that evening I received a text telling me we were not receiving anything back. During the appointment, Alex told my husband we would only see a refund had they been able to get their money back from the company. My husband asked why we should be on the hook for $1600 for something that was making us sick, Alex asked why HE should be on the hook for it. They buy these units in bulk and can't return them. He also said there was nothing in the unit and he has no idea what we would smell. As Alex was leaving my husband had to ask for our piece of equipment back that makes us sick, that they were going to take and not refund us any money. We have a patch in our HVAC system, you cannot find this model number of air scrubber on the internet anywhere and we are still out money. This was our experience with AirCare USA.

I didnt get good vibes from the original company when I asked them about repairs and warranties, especially when I asked them why it failed and why I should expect it to not fail again. Mark was super helpful. There were actually somehow multiple spots where the line set was kinked and leaking due to the original installers error. Mark was able to find and fix these leaks very quickly and he seemed very trustworthy and honest. If I have any issues I will definitely call them again

Update: I changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars. The company called me after they saw my review and would like to send another technician to fix the problem. Today Ron came and he did a diagnostic and figured out the high limit switch occasionally touching the heat tube is the root cause. I agreed with him. After moving the high limit switch to a better position, the furnace ran a full cycle with no problem. The recommendation is to replace the high limit switch (which was replaced a few years ago and was too big) with the manufacturing part. Ron did a great job on this, and he also went extra miles to check my crawl space to check the airflow. He gave me a list of recommendations and cost in the end, and it's up to me to make the informed decisions. I'm very happy with his work, and happy to see that the company cares about customer satisfaction (I was going to give up on AAA and didn't expect any response). The reason I only gave 4 stars is: This problem should have been diagnosed in the first visit. ---------- My furnace (gas, 15 years, 90% efficiency) had some problem. I did some troubleshooting and found that there was no power to the thermostat. I called AAA to have a technician come over to diagnose. The technician came and found the control fuse on the control board was blown out, and he replaced the fuse and furnace started to work. He was very patient and taught me a lot of knowledge about furnace (thank you). Regarding to why the fuse was blown out, he didn't have a good answer. A couple of hours after he left, i noticed that the fuse was blown out again. I bought a box of 3A fuses, and did some experiments, and noticed that the ignition was good, but after the gas burnt for a few seconds to a few minutes, the fuse was blown out. The next day I called AAA to tell them the story. I asked if I have the technician come over to diagnose the root cause, whether I need to pay the initial service fee again. The front desk told me yes. I can't believe this is what they told me. The root cause was not identified, i.e. the problem was not fixed. Does that mean each time they come over for the same problem, I need to pay the service fee? This doesn't make sense. I pay to identify the problem and fix the problem. I asked to have the technician call me back, and he did call me back very quickly (thanks). He told me that in this case, the control board needs to be replaced. I would like to know which part caused the fuse to blown out, is it some relay? or some other parts? I would like to identify the root cause, instead of being told the whole control board needs to be replaced without a good explanation. As an engineer, I just can't accept a solution like this. If after the root cause is identified, we see that it's better to replace the control board or even replace the furnace, that'll be my call to make the decision given all the information. Anyway, I feel frustrated that AAA can't identify the root cause of my furnace failure, and said another service fee will be charged if they come over to see the same problem which was not fixed in the first visit. read more

We received an error message and the fan in our furnace stopped working, so we called AAA and they told us someone would come out the next morning. I took the morning off work but by 3:00, no one had shown up, so I ended up cancelling the appointment. This isn't the first time this has happened. Ever since they merged with Southwest Plumbing, the quality of service has really gone downhill. They don't seem to value customer service anymore. The only communication was when I called to ask where the tech was and they were not apologetic or helpful. Before the merger, AAA was a smaller company and we never had problems with them. We pay a monthly fee for maintenance checks but didn't receive a call to schedule it this year, even though they said they did. We got no value from the service since the merger and are talking about looking for a better company. read more

Eric came out this morning and did the semi-annual maintenance on my furnace & A/C system. He arrived early in the 2-hour window, which was appreciated. He checked/serviced both systems, replaced the filter and verified that the thermostat was working correctly. He was very courteous and personable, and explained everything to me very well. I also had him install a recommended surge protector, since there are some circuit boards that could be fried in the event of a power surge. Something else that I appreciate with AAA Heating & Air Conditioning is that the personnel always text ahead of time with a greeting, their expected arrival time and a little "biography" about themselves, including their picture. Great Service! Was able to call up and schedule next day service. Electrician arrived a few minutes early even though he was given my address incorrectly. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, made my first experience with an electrician a positive experience and kept up communication throughout the entire visit. We are with AAA for more than 5 years. Long Nguyen and his co technician came to service us they are very professional and very polite, they came and started on time and finished on time. They text you 30 minutes before technicians arrive with a picture of themselves and a short bio so that you know who to expect. They installed our new furnace and AC in one day as promised. They educate us on how things work and gave us permits and paperwork to stay current on building codes. They also have their own electricians. I've had a Heating & Air Conditioning contract for years (used to be AAA Heating & Air) and have always been happy with the service provided. I schedule semi-annual routine maintenance to keep everything working properly and get expedited appointments if there are any issues in between. Last week my old heat pump & furnace failed so I had to buy a new system. Everyone worked as a team to make the replacement process as easy, quick & affordable as possible. AAA Heating has been taking care of my furnace for approx. 15 years; and, I have been impressed with this company each time I have had a tune-up! Last March, 2016, I had them replace my furnace and they did an excellent job. Joe B, the technician, who is extremely knowledgeable, alerted me that my old furnace was leaking oil in the motor; so with this information I replaced the furnace. Joe came out to tune up my new furnace yesterday and as usual, he was fantastic. I requested that he service my furnace every year from now on. Dolly came by for a scheduled routine maintenance. She was outstanding!!! She serviced the furnace, as requested, and came back a second time to solve a mysterious banging noise in the vent when the furnace started/stopped. Dolly and her supervisor had no idea what was causing the noise, tried a few unsuccessful fixes and left. As Dolly was driving away she suddenly had an idea and figured out correctly that it was due to an adjustment in the fan speed that was done by a service person on a prior visit. My furnace suddenly stopped working. I was hesitant about calling a well advertised company in the area because they had burned me before. I called AAA on a neighbors recommendation. I got an appointment for the following week, however, they called when they had a cancellation so I was able to get a technician 4 days earlier than originally scheduled. Jim came out, diagnosed the problem, gave me the price and fixed it quickly. He didn't try to upsell the maintenance plan, but once I asked it him about it, it was a no brainer. Big savings on this repair and repairs going forward. Only hiccup was the scheduling. I got a text with the wrong date, took a half day off work and had to call and verify after the 1pm-3pm appointment window expired. They were very apologetic, so that was enough for me! AAA live up to its great reputation. I called about a furnace which was not functioning well. I found out I am not in their service area, but the person on the phone spent at least 20 minutes on the line taking me through several possible problem areas that I could fix. Those didn't solve the problem so they gave me the name of another company in my area. Offering to help me try to trouble shoot remotely with no cost to me is going above and beyond. When our furnace broke, AAA was able to send out a diagnostic repair technician the next day. Our furnace was vintage 1989, but I watched AAA's technician Jim unhesitatingly disassemble it without any confusion or wasted movement. He really knew his stuff. What impressed me most was that he didn't simply hand me a report, he took the time to review each finding, explain its significance, answer questions before I even had to ask them, and clearly outline my options. By the time Travis left, I had a complete understanding of the condition of our HVAC system and the reasoning behind his recommendations. His explanations were clear, detailed, and easy to understand, without any pressure or sales tactics. Travis's technical knowledge was matched by his professionalism, patience, and genuine concern for helping us make informed decisions. I don't get the focus on their monthly subscription model, which is clearly prioritized over actually delivering reliable service. I would not recommend them based on the lack of follow-through, communication, and actual...ya know, work.

Christian came out and took a look at our space and gave us a quote and explained everything thoroughly. He's a natural born salesperson, but I felt he knew what he was talking about and I was sold. The installers came out the very next day. The two guys were great. They worked hard from early morning to late afternoon but when they left, everything was in great shape. The only issue I had with the company was a little difficulty in communications. I had received emails from one of their employees about the permits pulled for the installation, and when I went to follow up with that employee, I never heard back. I tried 2-3 times and texted my rep, but never heard back. I finally managed to get ahold of someone, and both inspectors eventually made it and signed off. One of the inspectors was so impressed with their work that he asked who had done it so he could reach out to them for some work at his own home! Overall I think we got a great system at a fair price. Probably a little more than we originally wanted to spend, but when doesn't that seem to be the case these days? I'd recommend these guys to everyone based on my experience.

So days pass and I look around the unit and they left all kinds of trash and residue, I think that's total BS 15k and you can't pick up the trash you left. Pissed is an understatement .

The backstory: my family and I were in Alaska when the PNW had a big freeze and our pool heat pump condenser and above ground pipes froze and burst. No one was able to come to our home for a couple weeks due to all the other customer priorities dealing with the aftermath of the storm. I completely get it...a pool is not a priority when others are without heat. So our son purchased and installed a new condenser to get the pool water flowing to avoid frozen water in the pool cracking our pool walls and creating a much bigger problem! Our next challenge was to find a way to purchase and install a highly regulated refrigerant requiring a license and special tools. We soon learned that DIYing the refrigerant to get the heat pump working was not possible. For over three years I called different service companies asking for help - pool service companies such as Aquaquip who originally sold and installed the unit, and AquaCal; a different AquaCal, the manufacturer of the pool heat pump; other dozens of other HVAC contractors too numerous to mention except I will mention my serious disappointment with South Sound Plumbing with whom we spend a lot of money annually to service our other home heat pumps. After 30 different phone calls none would help us. "Too risky they" said, "wouldn't be able to warranty the work" said others. The truth? Our problem was simply too small a job or didn't fit their known expertise. Northwest was willing to help (BTW they showed up on the top of a list of HVAC contractors during my ChatGPT co-thinking session). I'm so grateful to Darlene (who took my call and listened with compassion to my unusual problem. I'm grateful to Zane, Northwest's Service Manager, who spent time deeply listening, brainstorming an approach, and getting someone out to our home. Finally, heartfelt kudos to Nate, our HVAC tech wizard, who successfully got our pool heat pump heating water! Yahoo! If you've got an HVAC challenge that doesn't fit neatly into your current HVAC service company's service menu or you want to partner with a company who really cares about delivering value and a great customer experience, I highly recommend Northwest Expert Heating, Cooling, and Electrical!

I feel like I've been a vicitim of a very elaborate bait and switch (combined with the fact that I stupidly decided to do a five-year membership to service our system at no cost so now I'm tied to them). This was THEIR error, not discovered at install or six months, and now I'm out $1500. They never acknowledged their install error. To boot, their GM basically harassed me on text, super unprofessional, berating my husband for hanging up on him after he completely ignored my information on text. He mentioned he would share our text thread on reviews. Cool. Question if it is all there if they do post. Buyer BEWARE. Don't let the sell job catch you...they're slick on the sell and absent on accountability. :-( UPDATE: Another company identified a different problem as the culprit, and identified installation flaws from this company. Please don't use them. They cut corners and are now costing us thousands. This company sold out in October 2025 and it shows. Buyer beware.

The problem was never the cost. - As laymen looking to HVAC experts, we offered to pay to diagnose the issue and that was rejected. - Neither of the two tech's that were sent out found the issue, the first didn't even attempt to. Yet I managed to find it in just a few minutes of searching. - I was told twice that if the scope of the project changed I would receive a call regarding a change in the estimate. That never happened, I called you. - When presented with an estimate that was nearly the same as the original estimate after significantly reducing the scope and labor, I was more or less attacked over the phone - including being blamed for the situation - when I was looking for a reasonable explanation and some accountability. I know you're a business and have costs and I understand sharing those expenses with you. My frustration is not about the money, it's about how the situation was handled. It is about the apparent lack of due diligence on the part of your team. The disappointment of looking to experts to help solve a problem and finding out that they didn't put in the effort to address the issue in what would have been a simple fix. And most importantly, the rudeness we received when looking for accountability. Describing the situation as unprofessional only scratches the surface.

The efficiency of the new HVAC is a noticeable upgrade from the last, a system that came with our (new at purchase--now, 22 y.o.) home. Though the system lasted us a long time, it was never the right BTU for the size of the house. The old HVAC thermometer was around 6 or 7 degrees off. Plus, there were always cold (during winter months) and hot (during summer months) spots at the farthest corners of the house. Now, the uniformity of the temperature throughout the house makes it seem like a new and improved home. Hopefully, this will last a very long time. We are only 7 weeks out from the fresh install. Efer (owner) was very knowledgeable. He was communicative with my questions via text beforehand, and Alec was very informative and gave me the quote at the beginning of this project. The warranty and maintenance information at the final walk-through was very helpful. Thank you, Efer & Alec.

However this year when it needed some repairs, I never heard back from them. On Yelp, they have setup an AI responder, so responses are prompt. However nothing happens beyond that.

Finally we gave up after the incredibly poor follow up and had another company take care of it, and it was all handled promptly as they quickly resolved the problem related to their installation.

Shortly after the service, I started getting incessant AI generated spam texts selling various home renovation services. These were at my number, but addressed to my landlord. The only place where these data were attached was at Evergreen. Therefore, I'm fairly certain that Evergreen either is operating a marketing service for third parties or is just selling customer information to such a service. Trying to contact Evergreen led to more dead-end conversations with AI chat bots. If you want to contract with this company (please don't), use a burner phone!

A few years back, I had Washington Energy Services install a heat pump in my house and it was a…read morewholly positive experience, so when I decided to have a mini split installed in my ADU, I had them give me a bid. The bid was shockingly high, and I had concerns about what the rep was suggesting: he suggested locating the condenser in the alley and the register, inside, near the floor. He was also keen to sell me a three-year service agreement for the heat pump. I contacted Greener Cleaner and the owner, Robert, came out and gave me a considerably lower estimate for the installation of the mini split, and offered to service the heat pump free of charge if I decided to go with his company. Robert told me that he'd once installed a condenser in an alley and it had been vandalized, costing the customer many thousands of dollars. (The photo he showed me of the cannibalized condenser was worth a thousand words.) He advised locating the condenser inside my fenced yard. He also suggested that the register be placed higher up on the wall as this would most effectively heat/cool the ADU. Greener Cleaner came a week later and completed the job in one day, both the installation of the mini split and the service of the heat pump. The three gentlemen who did the work were exceedingly competent, polite, and left everything clean. Robert called me directly midday and at the end of the day to see if I had any questions and if I was satisfied with the work. I appreciated the communication! I suspect that Washington Energy services had just grown too big and doesn't feel the need to be competitive. I'm glad I went with Greener Cleaner!

After I rejected that amount, it was all of a sudden only $149 on special from the owner, Robert. I thought that was strange, but I told him that that needed to be the amount when they got here too, and he assured me it would be. I made the appointment for the day after Super Bowl and they were to arrive between 9:00 and 10:00 AM, texting me before they arrived. I finally got a text around 9:20 AM telling me that the technician was sick and we could schedule for any other day that week. Sounded suspiciously like a hangover to me, but whatever. When they finally got here and removed the filters, I was advised it was now going to be $50 more. I had explained that I had a small house fire inside, but we had cleaned all of the filters and now they are stained. I even asked Jeffrey if I didn't want to pay the extra money, was he gonna just put everything back together and go away? I could see by his expression that was not going to happen so there was nothing I could do. I'm an elderly woman and I already told them since it was only $149, I wouldn't even ask for a senior discount but now they raised the price so I was very disappointed. As they were working, and I came back out into my garage, I caught Jeffrey talking on the phone about my water heater and putting a sticker on it. I told him stickers were OK, but I didn't know it was that big... not only did he put a giant sticker on something he wasn't working on, but he threw the backing on the floor of my garage! When they left, I looked at the unit, and all of the lights were flashing red. At first he had said that the filters would have to dry and then plug in the face plate later, but he plugged it in immediately and it didn't look happy. I texted the workmen and got no response. Finally, the owner responded and told me to hit the reset button. There was still one light flashing bright red after I reset. I had to have my husband work on it when he got home to get the red light to go away. It was very stressful for me overall, but I guess the job did get done... time will tell. It doesn't look like they cleaned anything on my outside unit either. I hope they do better with other people. It could have been just a bad set of circumstances but being "sick" on a Monday after the Super Bowl seems weird knowing that it could be done any other day of the week so the person couldn't have been too sick.
