I had my vehicle towed to this AAA mechanics shop , car won't start , i told them to check the 12 Volt battery on my 2023 Toy Hybrid , since that's most likely the problem , they tested the battery and insured me that the battery is working fine , they said they tested the starter and alternator and it checked out good , do they even know that Toyota hybrids (except trucks) have no alternator, no starter, no accessory belt , so they were lying right there. Then they were saying i have warning lights on the dashboard , yeah of course because a weak or dead battery can absolutely cause multiple warning lights to come on, including the check engine, ABS, and traction control lights, because low voltage confuses the car's computer, making sensors send false error signals, even if the components aren't actually faulty. so they making a Horror story about everything , even when i told them its probably just the 12 Volt battery , its just common sense , they insisted the battery is good . they even charged me $99.50 for their wrong diagnostics .( May bee buy some new diagnostic tools ) I had to insist to just put me in a new 12 Volt battery which they didn't even have on site , so finally they installed one and to their surprise it fired right up without any error / warning lights on the dash , they still were saying your error lights and warnings on the dash will come back on after you drive it for some miles , total nonsense , i been driving now over 500 miles and everything is fine , no problems . This whole deal costed me over $ 410 dollars because of their Incompetency , lack of skill and knowledge, they know nothing about Hybrids , Hybrid cars (especially Toyotas) often suffer from premature 12V battery failures due to parasitic drains, short trips, and systems that don't fully shut down, causing failures in 1-2 years Unlike conventional cars, hybrids use the 12V to boot computers and engage the high-voltage system; if it fails, the car won't start , that's all it is , do your homework ! I would like to give a shout out to AAA Auto Repair center. I recently had a serious problem with a fuel leak around my gas tank of my GMC Terrain. Alejandro the Service manager did a fantastic job making the repair and doing a full safety check of the vehicle, they identified other concerns and allowed me to choose the items I felt were necessary to repair at this time, and did not try to talk me into doing everything at the same time. Alejandro kept me abreast as the repairs progressed and completed the job on the day he said it would be done. I just wanted to say I highly recommend this location. Everyone here was so helpful and accommodating to my needs. I would be giving a full 5 star but the only reason why I am not is because I scheduled a oil change online and came in for it on the day and they ended up having a mix up with not being able to do it for me that day because they don't do oil changes on Mondays and Thursdays which the website let me schedule it for Thursday anyways.The only thing I would say is I just wish it would have been more obvious that we can't schedule a oil change on Mondays and Thursdays,. Although that mix up was a little frustrating Tim got me in the next day as soon as they had availability. They were extremely kind and apologetic to the mess up. We towed our car to this repair shop due to a heater sensor light and because we are happy AAA members, why not? Unfortunately, the repair took 5days for $1900 but the sensor light came back on after a couple of days. My husband thought it had a leak due to the stain on the garage floor & it needed more fluid. So he put some in & the light went off. We took it back to the shop. Mark said No Leak and after doing intensive work up the cost is $150 but he did waive it after we complained. He further recommended replacing something for about $650. We can't believe it and said no thank you. We took it to another repair shop mom&pop owned nearby. They found the leak right away and fixed the problem in 3 days for $1300. The car has been running smoothly for several weeks. We should get our money back! Beware towing your car to them! read more

AAA Quality and convenience is very good with your usual two year warranty on every thing they install. They will even drive you there with their driver or will actually tow your car there and tow it back to your home for free. The most important thing to me is cost, customer service, and quality of repair which they all pass When I was quoted a high price for an oil leak they were able to use the blue dye and find that the leak was just at the top of the engine and the price was only gonna be $300 versus $800 read more

a/c not cold. trans fluid leaking dropped truck off. estimate for transmission leak pan gasket. a/c. needs all components. total estimated at over three thousand dollars due to ac tube rubbing on radiator. didn't do the work. highly recommended to me. very nice clean place but what a rip off not to mention the lies. watch out for this place took my truck to another shop. trans leak was the o ring on trans fill tube, no charge. ac tube not rubbing on radiator like they told me. the garage i went to evacuated the system and refilled it. then put die into the system to check for leaks after i drove it. turns out it was a leaky valve oh high pressure side. tightened it. total for entire job was under 400.00 dollars. good to find a local honest shop. Amazing service!! Special shout out to Stefan! Great guy who explained the whole process to myself and my dad, gave us a couple options for what we could do, and even gave us water!! He put the donut on my car after a tricky maneuver out of a McDonalds parking lot and Stefan offered to make sure we got to a Discount Tire safely. Thank god he did because the donut immediately went flat too and he towed the car for us right there. Stephan was knowledgeable and kind. I am done taking my vehicle to AAA and my mom is done with them too. Joe's Auto is one of the best shops here! This is a problem with honesty and integrity at the second AAA shop. Bringing issues to the manager's attention did not good because each are individually owned. On this occasion, my elderly mom took her car to this particular shop for an oil change. The service advisor hovered over her and rattled off a list of 8 "critical" items that "had" to done right away - $1,164 total for parts, labor, and tax. A week later, my mom called to ask which were the most critical, as that is a lot of money. They added $1,200 to the original price!!! My mom took her car to Joe's Auto for their opinion. They thoroughly checked her car. She showed them AAA's Estimate. They showed her each of the 8 "critical" items and though her car is older, parts are older but in great condition not needing "critical" replacement. AAA tried to bully and rob her of money she didn't need to spend. If in ANY doubt, get a second opinion. Sub optimal experience getting my car's cameras re-calibrated after the glass replacement! Glass was replaced fine but required me to go to dealer to re-calibrate my lane sensing cameras. Was told by multiple people at AAA Auto Glass that they would leave me documents to have the dealer call to be paid direct. This is where it went wrong. Dealer could not get through, left messages. Then was transferred around was told they could not be direct paid. I then called AAA Auto Glass and could not get through. Then I called AAA, they have not connection and could not help. I called the AAA service shop that referred me, they have no connection. Was referred to Safelight /American Family, they sent me an email saying I would need to pay the dealer and be reimbursed in 1-2 weeks. Finally, called AAA auto glass 3 more times, finally pressing 1 as a "new claim" to get someone to pick up the phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor. While on the phone it seems the Honda dealer was also on the phone with them and they gave them the authorization number. My AAA Auto Glass person told me to call back when I picked up the car if there were any problems. Ok, I have a job and am picking up car at 5:55pm. Update, as I was typing this review I received a call from the AAA Auto Glass manager. He was very apologetic for the confusion. It seams that my insurance, American Family, "does not participate" in the program to pay the dealer directly like most insurance companies. I can only assume it has something to do with their contract with Safelight to manage their glass claims! However, he wanted to make it right and is calling the dealer to put it on their card and work it out on the back end. I appreciate it but now I have to work two hours later because I was on the phone for 2 hours dealing with this today. read more

I cannot begin to thank Matt and the repair technicians at AAA Northeast Phoenix!!! I had a serious issue with my 2008 Toyota Avalon's battery. It would drain within a few days or sometimes overnight after a jump. I'm a member of AAA, so I had called them multiple times for a jump, and each time they said there was not an issue with the battery (I'd had it replaced in May 2019, so it was under warranty). They advised me to take it into a repair shop to determine if there was an electrical issue causing the drain. So, I called the AAA Northeast Phoenix location. Matt called me right back, and left his cell number so that I could get in touch with him immediately. I was able to schedule an appointment right away. When I dropped my car off, I was told that there would be a charge for the electrical assessment, which I expected. Matt explained to me that they are honest and fair, and if the assessment only takes and hour, it would be one charge, but if it took longer, it would cost more. I left my car with them overnight because it takes a long time to complete that kind of electrical assessment. The next morning I called them to ask about the status, and Matt explained that they completed the assessment, and the only issue that they could find was the battery itself. He said it was under warranty, so they replaced it for free. Then he said that there would be no cost at all for all of their work. He said that this should not have happened in the first place. I almost fell over. I will take all of my vehicles to them for service for the rest of my life. And, I will tell everyone I know to do the same. I've never experienced this level of service, quality and honesty. Ever. I cannot recommend them enough!!!! read more

Scheduled a windshield replacement through AAA Auto Glass and had to wait over two weeks for my appointment on April 10th. After scheduling my day around the glass appointment - nobody showed up as scheduled or even called. Could never find out what happened? After much confusion, I got my windshield replaced on April 17th. With this deal you're supposed to get 4 movie tickets. I was told they would be sent. After waiting a month for them to arrive I called and was told they "forgot". They said they would put them in the mail and may take up to two weeks. Coming by Pony Express? I found this entire process to be very confusing and unprofessional. Will make me want to shop around for different insurance. read more

Can't get anyone with any authority to tell me when/if they will clean this. NEVER AGAIN, WAITED OVER A WEEK FOR APP'T and can't get ANYONE to take care of this. Having AAA insurance, I called to report a rock chip in my windshield. They ended up recommending AAA Auto Glass...no surprise, but also making it clear that I could use any company I wanted. The appointment was set up through the corporate office and I received a call from the local scheduler very soon afterwards. Then I searched online and found the low reviews on Yelp* and questioned my decision. But I saw that the two reviews were OLD and that nobody complained in over three years, so I decided to give them a chance. The technician called about 10 minutes before arrival, about 2:45 into the 4-hour appointment window. He was very friendly, explained what I should expect, did an excellent job, and cleaned the entire windshield. What's not to like!? read more

Tried calling local phone number for 4 days, only got an answering service on the east coast, no matter what time of day I called. They kept saying they would leave a msg but no one called back. Ended up calling AAA membership line to complain. It still took another 2 days before they came out to fix my window. Then 2 weeks after they fixed the window I got a call from the shop saying they had gotten my message and please call to make an appt. So, my first clue that things would not go right, was when I tried making the appointment to have AAA auto glass come out and replace my windshield, and they gave me an appointment 3 weeks away. They said they were very busy. I wasn't happy but they said I would be first on that particular day. My appointment time was 8-12. Morning of, I called at 8:30 to confirm they were coming, being that I didn't hear from them. They confirmed I was on the list. I took off work for this appointment, so I wanted to make sure there was no problem. At 11:30, I called them again and was told my appointment was cancelled. They said I cancelled the appointment!!! I finally worked it out with them and was reassured they would come out later in the afternoon. They promised they would take care of it. I get a call a few hours later saying they can't come, too busy!! I don't know how they stay in business with service like that. I had to call my insurance company again to find another glass company , OTHER THAN AAA, and try this again. I'm going with Safelite Glass Company. read more

I came here because I received a coupon in the mail for their grand opening. I was hesitant at first because the Google reviews (there are only five) were not great, but the other 40th St location (open for many years) had good reviews so I thought I'd give them a try anyway. I went because I had a blinker that kept going out. I had replaced it multiple times and two other shops had replaced it as well. The last one (Big O) told me nothing was wrong despite me telling them that the bulb should not burn out after a few weeks and there must be a short or something else at play. So, I came to AAA and told them the story and I was expecting an expensive repair, but they called a couple hours later and said my car was ready and the issue was that the bulb in it was the wrong voltage which was causing the base to melt. Most likely it had been wrong since the first replacement and each place after was just replacing it with the same kind of bulb they took out. This shop was the first to realize that the bulb was wrong. They replaced both and now a month later I still have working blinkers! Yes, labor is costly but that will be the case anywhere you go. If they only charged for parts they would not make a profit. Ignacio was very nice and made sure I got my AAA member discount on top of the coupon I brought in. The building is very nice with a spacious waiting room which is clean and comfortable. I will definitely come here again. read more

I've called twice now and gone through the whole process to get my windshield approved through my insurance which happens to be AAA. They say they have ordered the glass and they will call when it comes in then I never hear anything again. I just called again and asked to speak to a supervisor in which the representative said that I would have to leave a message. He asked who I had spoken to previously and when I said I don't remember he said thank you very much goodbye and hung up on me.
