So glad I did! There was a lot making it a very interesting meal. I believe the starter soup was a Mulligatawny. The entree portion also included a Dal, Channa (chickpea) Masala, Rice, a small Raita plus Indian condiments. That Mango Kulfi, delivered packed in ice, was a terrific finish! Everything was well prepared and absolutely delicious! It was a spectacular lunch! Recommend you also check out Manhattan Valley Indian Restaurant!

Before I ordered over the phone, I checked online and saw that we would get a free dessert with the entrees. However, we didn't get it when we ordered over the phone. The bread basket/ order we got was 1 garlic naan and 2 plain naan. We didn't receive the paratha; not sure what happened. The food was alright. The chicken in the butter Chicken was tough not tender but the sauce was good. Palak paneer was good. The garlic naan didn't have much garlic taste; it had more cilantro than garlic. I was excited to orderfrom this place because we ordered food from them before. I was a bit disappointed this time. I think the food could have been better.

Curry King is: -…read moreInexpensive - Authentic (to Pakistan and north India). I could easily imagine purchasing this food on the street in Delhi. - Low brow: Think fast-food style cooking for the middle / lower middle class masses in Pakistan and north India... or for broke college students in Manhattan. Ingredients are roughly cut and minimal, with cuts of meat that include all the bone, cartilage, and gristly bits. Seasoning is very bare bones, including only the minimum of what you need to make a dish what it is. You won't find the "luxury" of a cilantro garnish for instance. - Very oily : There'a a thick layer of oily orange tane on top of every dish, which you'll find at many eateries in north India. (I think tadka / spice tempered oil is a near equivalent in south India, though we've never seen tadka in such generous quantities, even at fast food type street vendors.) In our experience, food that's served at home in middle to upper class families isn't usually this oily. - Meaty: There are a sprinkling of vegetarian dishes available (along the lines of paneer or channa dal, bit little actual vegetable matter), and meat dishes tend to be meat only, or meat and potatoes only. We ordered this food by delivery and at home, we had to chop some cilantro to sprinkle over our food, and eat substantial salads alongside, so we wouldn't feel as though we would immediately die of heart attacks + scurvy. Maybe if I still had a college-aged kid's metabolism, I'd be able to eat this kind of food -- and maybe even drink a quarter of a keg while I'm at it. But now, I worry about heart attacks and scurvy and heart burn and ulcers. I grow old ... I grow old ... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled. Going to leave this one to the young guns.
