Counter service that specializes in Korean Chinese cuisine. Jjampong and jajang myun are their main dishes, and the Korean style sweet and sour pork (tangsuyuk). Jjampong was spicy but lacked depth. Jajang myun was decent. Tangsuyuk was good and I liked that they serve the sauce separately. Onions and yellow radish are self service so you can get as much as you want. Portions are decent sized

One of the OG's in Korean-Chinese here. The food is good and post covid, everything is self served but that's fine. The jjamjamyun is my go-to and it's always good however, the entrees are equally excellent. Mapo tofu, gganpoongi are all great. Solid spot with quick and easy (self) service.

My friends took me here tonight to eat some jajangmeyon (black bean noodles) and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). The portion was filling and at an affordable price. The tangsuyuk sauce was thick and has a strong bell pepper taste. The pork itself was crispy and stayed crispy the entire meal. Overall, this was a great combo, I recommend giving this place a try the next time you crave jajangmeyon and tandsuyuk! This place is located in the plaza near Hmart but is tucked away without a sign between two stores. Inside you order at the counter and then take your buzzer to your table until you order is ready. Once you're done eating you bring the tray to the rack similar to how it is at Korean food courts.

Self service place with good food. I recommend Tang su yuk(10/10). Jjang bbong was just okay but Jja jang myeon was great. I personally think that the place is not clean but it's self service place so I guess that kinda makes sense. I might visit again because of Tang su yuk.

We always make a trip to here when we're in Dallas! Simply the best Korean-style Chinese restaurant.

This looks like an old school place. I have no idea how long this restaurant has been around but judging from some of the comments, there's recently been some changes. I can say that I do love me some self-serve style restaurants. I kinda wish more restaurants were like this. It's just easier to get in an out without worrying about waiting around to pay the bill. I ordered half black bean noodles and half seafood noodles for $14. Overall, it's a great deal and a great way to take care of some cravings. I will indeed have to get their tangsooyuk next time, but their jjajjangmyun was pretty legit. Maybe not AS good as Mr. Paik nearby, but really good. Plus, sometimes I'm not in the mood to eat an entire of tangsooyuk by myself so the combo plates are perfect for me.

First, I like the fact that the service changed to self service. Not only it is convenient but no requirement for tip is a plus. I haven't tried variety of food but their chadol jjamppong is super delicious!! It's one of their latest menu but I honestly get this at least once every 2 week or so. There are private rooms that can be used by anyone as long as its not already occupied so that's also nice.

THE GO TO SPOT FOR JJAJANGMYUN IN DALLAS As someone who's lived in Dallas, Austin, and Lubbock and visited Houston occasionally, jjajangmyun is one of the hardest Korean dishes to look for in all of Texas. Thankfully this place exists in Carrollton to satisfy those black bean noodle cravings. It's sept serve here and food comes out real quick.

One of my go-to spots for jjampong and jjajangmyun in DFW. For the indecisive, there's a 'ban ban' option where you can choose two between jjampong, jjajanmyun, or tangsuyuk! Their portions are generous and dishes full of flavor. It's a self-serve establishment where you order at the counter, grab your own utensils, and rack up the dirty dishes at the end. The signage is in Korean so it could be hard to miss but it's to the right of Maht Gaek and left of Wicked Snow. They close on Wednesdays!

I have been here so many times since it has opened and my family caters from here all the time because it is just a nostalgic feeling of eating jajangmyun. I think compared to the other places around the area, this place does a better job for jajangmyun. The Jjamppong is a little bland or something but it isn't too good but I am not a big jjamppong person so it just might be my preference and others might really like it. If you want to try both, they do have a half half option so you can get the best of two worlds haha. I have tried the fried pork with the sweet sauce tangsuyuk and the sweet spicy chili fried shrimp and both were pretty good! They also have different sizes in bowls and so depending on how hungry you are, you can get a bigger size. Usually the small is enough for me but a medium is a grest size to share or if you are really hungry!

Nothing soothes the soul like a good jajangmyeun and crispy tangsuyuk and I definitely leave satisfied after my visits to Dong Chun Hong. Their jjamppong and white jjamppong (for those that can't eat spicy) are wonderfully hearty and flavorful as well. After trying many places around town, this remains my go-to spot.

I been to this place twice and it has gone down the hill. Yesterday we went and it was pretty empty which I was happy about because the pandemic, then it dawned on us that it was empty for a reason. We ordered jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk which always goes together. First of all, the price has realllly shot up. The szechuan jajangmyeon was $16 for a medium and $20 for tangsuyuk medium. The word medium was so ambiguous that we didn't really know how much food we were getting, but what we ended up getting look like a lot of food but it really wasn't. There were barely any promised seafood in the jajangmyeon, the beef tasted weird and I don't know what was "Szechuan" about it. It tasted nothing Chinese. The tangsuyuk was suppose to be pork but there were minuscule amount of it and was completely covered with batter, like 80% batter. I love crunchiness but I don't think I got the meat I paid for. There was a tip line on the receipt so naturally we tipped, but little did we know there was zero service. We had to get our own utensils, sauce, napkins, water, and side dishes. When the food was ready, they put it on a rolling cart, except they never rolled it over to us. Instead, they transferred our food to a small tray for us to pick up, too small to even fit all the plates on. When I picked it up, half of the tangsuyuk plate was just hanging off of the tray. Thankfully, my wife came and grabbed it before anything bad could happen. We have NO IDEA why we tipped. At the end of the meal, we returned all everything to a rack ourselves, as instructed. The atmosphere was just damp; no music, no byes, no service..

I was finishing an interview with a business associate, so we didn't want to leave just yet. No one was waiting for the table and seats were empty. I said please and thank you in Korean multiple times with no eye contact or acknowledgement. BCD Tofu house tastes better and treats me far better.
