Group that I'm a part of had a meeting here. To support the business I ordered lemonade and a Mediterranean salad with tuna. The salad was filling and satisfying. The derive was good, the staff was friendly, attentive and welcomed us warmly. I'd return again.

This place is not a fancy place but it is the most authentic Moroccan place I have experienced outside of Africa . Our friend Ilham had a birthday and her wish was to be in Morocco for an evening. And I think Abigail accomplished that wish! Terah and her had the saffron rice with chicken and I ordered the couscous special. It came with a small plate of hummus, beets, potatoes and greens. Just like when I spent some time at the foot of Atlas Mountains. But that couscous brought me back to Marrakech, where Ilham's mom makes a delicious couscous every Friday for lunch. The price was very reasonable. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. The view of San Francisco from there is pretty nice too! Oh and the cookies are to die for. We ate them before we realized we didn't take a picture

This is a hidden gem we found! It's located in a business building with a great view of the water. Order at the counter first and pick a table to sit indoor or outdoor. I ordered the rice plate with chicken and eggplant which I appreciate that I have the option to choose both. The grilled chicken and eggplant had tasty charred flavor which paired so well with the rice and the salad. It's definitely a great go to place I want to come back again and again!

I had Morocco salad with eggplant. I love it. The beet inside was cut fine. The lettuce is outer part the tender part. I also have a side order of hummus, which is delicious. My friend has saffron rice and ketfa with caramelized onion. Delicious!

The view is awesome. The food is basic home cooking, generous portion of Couscous for my lamb shank plate. It is New Year's Day, this place had a special menu and belly dancing last night, perhaps they are in recovery mode.

You won't drive passed this place by chance, you have to intentionally drive to ballena island. There you will have a choice between a mediocre marina fronted restaurant and Abigail 's restaurant. Choose the latter. Choose tasteful, flavorful savors. Choose a quiet setting. Choose non microwaved. As I mentioned , it is not exactly in a central location , however I have some good news for you - you can door-dash from Abigail's Moroccan kitchen. Treat yourself with flavors.

The flavors. It was my first time going to this restaurant. I wanted to try some Moroccan food and the flavors did not disappoint. The view from the restaurant is great. I can't wait to go back with other friends. Definitely a mom and pop vibe. Staff was friendly and clarified any questions we had on menu.

Abigail's is a hidden gem. I had my birthday party there on a Saturday night recently. Loved the salads and we tried both lamb and chicken. They were off the bones and the couscous were really good too. They belly dancing was so fun to watch. All the food and entertainment for just $35. Very worth it to make the trek out there.

Absolutely love this little gem. Their chicken breast plate is my absolute favorite! Can't forget a cup of their hot mint tea. Always so friendly and I love the mother and daughters get to work with each other. So sweet. Such a cozy vibe with a beautiful view of the bay! Try getting your food to go and eating it on the beach by the water across the street!

Lamb shank tagine with cuscus and fruits

I recently travelled to Seattle. It was filled with pretty cafes and restaurants at the tourist hot spots and unfortunately some terrible and mediocre food in many of them. This place on the other hand, was an amazing find with some of the most delicious food and excellent service. From the entree to the dessert and tea - the presentation, the quality, the amount and variety were truly phenomenal. The service was also outstanding - attentive, fast, very friendly, accommodating and beyond our expectations. We had various types of lamb shank special and it was amazing. Filled with savory, sweet and delicate flavors. All of my friends loved it.

Wait Time: No wait (for a late lunch on Sunday.) Not a place to have a 'quick lunch.' Take a seat in the patio and enjoy the view of the SF skyline across the bay. Unique Factor: 2/5 - One of few Moroccan Cuisines in the Bay Area. The menu appears to consist of classic Moroccan dishes along with sandwiches with a Moroccan twist. We ordered a Lamb Set Menu and a Kefta Sandwich. The set menu is a great intro to the cuisine and generous enough for sharing. The Kefta Sandwich had nicely toasted bread filled with flavorful meat patties. Service: Casual, not a lot of service, but also nothing to complain about.

Quality/Quantity - Moroccan Saffron Rice with Chicken Breast & Caramelized Onions - Good flavors. Looks like good quantity, but I was actually still hungry when I left. The chicken breast was cut thin, not good or bad, just not enough for me. And I'm a light eater... The rice and salad looked like good portions and had good flavor, but again, I left hungry. Moroccan Saffron Rice with Eggplant, Bell Peppers & Onions - My buddy ordered this and left hungry also. He joked that his eggplant was more filling than my chicken. Specials available, see picture. Atmosphere - Cool decor, especially the outside seating. Cool water views. Plenty of parking, both in the parking lot and in the street. Open 6 days a week from 10am until - See picture or Yelp. Closed Mondays. Service - Family run business, counter service. Everyone seemed nice. Went out of their way to show us the outside mall shared bathrooms. Price - $30 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2010. I can not remember the last time I was here or if there are previous business/owners? Either way, I will be back.

For just a little under $14 through online making it very convenient. Highly recommend spending your lunch money here if you're on a budget. Pastrami sandwich 4/5 It's a nice clean sandwich, nothing too heavy, and I love the pineapple. Pineapple was just ripe and sweet. I think that's a pretty unique complimentary side they're doing. No sandwich spot ever gave me a pineapple! haha The sandwiches are also very big so you can definitely save the other half for lunch or share it with a friend. I do wish that the bread was toasted and that there was some kind of tasty sauce to go with it. They also charge an extra .75 cents for takeout packaging. But nonetheless I enjoyed it. Ambience 4/5 Inside is cool and lively. A nice dining area to quickly grub with a friend. Staff were friendly but I didn't really have much of an interaction since I ordered online. Quick tip, order online ahead of time before heading there since the lines can get very long especially during lunch hours.

After scoping out the vibes of the place and the menu, I told myself to make sure to give this a shot. The place is in a redeveloped corner of Alameda right next to the bay. Probably used to be Navy base grounds back in the day. But now there's a couple of blocks worth of hip warehouse-y type of buildings, mostly restaurants, beer spots, some lofts and a little retail commerce. Very happening even though the surrounding area is a ghost town. Dining area not too big, maybe a couple of rooms that can hold about 20-30 heads each. Think there's another room for a private party/overflow. Decor pretty minimalist and stark. Service on the upscale side but in my stay, matched the decor, very minimalist and stark. Efficient enough but a little terse with little emotion. But I know service personality can differ from time to time or person to person. Just my obsy for one out. Daily Crudo ($20/4*) I think this rotates daily. Our choices that day was hamachi or a house smoked sturgeon. The sturgeon really piqued my interest but then it really wouldn't be a 'crudo' anymore would it, since I relate crudos to something 'raw-ish'. So I chose the hamachi. Very pretty plating, I love symmetry and balance. The thin slices of hamachi were indeed fresh, sitting in a stealthy pool of yuzu and olive oil. There are some fresno pepper slices and microgreens that garnish and a delicious nori cracker to break and accompany the crudo. This went really well with my glass of Fume Blanc. Caeser ($17/4.5*) We split this salad as their version sounded super cool. A miso-tinged Caeser dressing, lots of rustic garlic croutons and feathery soft grated parm and a soft-boiled egg. I love properly made Caesers and this was one of the best and unique versions I've ever had. The umami punch and the diverse textures just hit with me. A tad salty for a salad, but the crunchy and refreshing lettuce was able to absorb the salt blast. Huge salad too, like ideal for splitting and ridiculously large if for 1. Beef Short Rib ($43/4*) This was on special that night, and since I wasn't feeling Steak Frites (their only other beef entree option) this kinda fell on my lap. Very heavy and hearty dish. The short rib part was impeccable, super tender, gotta be sous vide. Perfectly seasoned with braising elements completely penetrated into the meat. There was a coarse gravy/sauce that covered which was okay, may have been the braising liquid just pureed. Served atop a huge pile of some risotto that I didn't inquire about. This risotto is what made the dish especially heavy. I ate most of it and it put me in a heavy carb coma. Lol. But there was a nice serving of perfectly cooked broccolini which helped balanced out the rich beef and carb heavy risotto. Chocolate Bar ($13/4.5*) Shared this for dessert as I really couldn't take more than just a few bites after the filling entree. But was this impressive, like high end dessert quality. Whoever does the desserts here definitely has some pedigree. The precision cut bar consisted of 3 layers. A brownie layer; a Bailey's mousse; and a salted caramel layer. I was loving the texture of all the different layers playing on one another. And every flavor was distinct without being overly sweet, which hit the right chords with me. A thick ganache garnished off to the side, which was good but just seemed a bit overkill with the already chocolate dominant bar. I think a cream element would have been a better contrast instead of rich chocolate on rich chocolate. But very minor quip on an otherwise skillful dessert. I finished the last few sips of my glass of Rhone with this dessert, and it left me one happy camper. I would definitely return as their style with flavors hits an accord with me. A little French, a smidge of Japanese and a lot of California. Rounding to a fiver, as this place made me more happy than not.
