I personally love kale & I enjoyed the smoothie it just seemed a bit watered down so the flavor wasn't completely there for me. My boyfriend's Açai smoothie was also watered down - I almost didn't taste anything. But I will say, the egg sandwich was sooooo good. Very flavorful and fluffy, I really loved it! My boyfriend and I were looking for a healthy dessert option and came across Acai Jungle Cafe through the Yelp search. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, but there are plenty of street parking both in front of the cafe and around. The shop is really cute and there is seating both inside and outside. Acai jungle cafe has both acai bowl options and smoothies that are evenly priced ($9+). They use certified organic ingredients, no corn syrup, and no soy or dairy in their products. The location is pretty popular with the locals so it does get a bit busy and takes a bit of time for your order to get filled. We decided to order their smoothies and got the Kales Green Smoothie and Acai Energy Smoothie. For both smoothies, we definitely tasted the freshness of the ingredients and the natural sweetness. It definitely was much grittier and a bit chalkier than we are used to, but the texture and flavor quickly grew on us. I would have liked if the Kale smoothie was blended just a tad more to remove some do the large chunks of kale. The drinks were definitely refreshing and my boyfriend and I both grew to enjoy it. I'll definitely come back next time to try out their Acai bowls since that's what they're known for. Came here with my family. Had the green tea matcha shake and a strawberry matcha latte. It was not good at all. The matcha shake tasted nothing like matcha just had a green color. Tasted like cashews, the flavor was so disappointing. The strawberry matcha latte tasted nothing like matcha, was very watery, tasted like straight agave, and just had a few strawberries cut up in it. Needless to say, overpriced and not worth it. Definitely can do something better at home than going here. The aesthetic of it actually surprised me. It's bigger than I thought it was going to be. The atmosphere is pleasant. Staff is friendly and efficient. There is seating available indoors and outside in the shade in front of the cafe. Their açaí is thick, creamy and full of flavor. It's not icy. It's not watered down or thinned out. Toppings include granola, banana and one topping. I add almond butter to my bowl. It's a $2.50 up charge. The strawberries and bananas are fresh. They aren't over ripe and passed their prime. Nor are the bananas green and flavorless. I used to say another spot in Studio City had the best acai bowls but not anymore. Açaí Jungle reigns as best açaí in The Valley. read more

I went to Acai Jungle yesterday with a friend, and we both ordered the chicken pesto sandwich. By the evening, I felt absolutely terrible, and it only got worse through the night--severe nausea, non-stop vomiting, and sheer discomfort. It was awful. When I checked with my friend, he had the exact same symptoms. This is beyond disappointing. Clearly, their food handling practices are severely lacking. Are they serving expired food or leaving items out too long? This is completely unacceptable. The quality here has clearly gone downhill. I've lost all trust in this place and won't ever go back.
