    Amazonas Acai Bowl #5
    Darlene A.

It was a really hot day & I was craving for some Ah-Sigh-ee bowls, so found this place nearby. Its nestled in a small plaza and there's free parking/ street. We ordered the Amazonas acai without bananas, size was quite small for $14. But the Acai base itself was really good, not overly sweet and you can taste the Acai flavor itself. Toppings were also fresh, they have a variety of smoothies that looked interesting as well. Would definitely come back to try them.

I'm super happy this place is a few blocks away from home and they have the most delicious Açaí bowls. There is even outdoor seating and validated parking. Great generous portions and nice people that work here make it 5 stars.

I'm a big fan of açaí bowls. My friend told me about this place, so I had to try it. I was surprised when I walked in and the two women working simply stared at me. I would expect a greeting or even ask me if I had questions about a menu, but nothing, they just stared at me making me feel unwelcome. I ordered a regular amazonas bowl. It comes with different fruit and overall I thought it was tasty. Not sure if it's the best one I've ever had, but it's a decent snack you can get when you need something refreshing. There are some tables outside if you prefer to eat it on the spot.

I've been here a couple of times, and I enjoy the acai bowls. It's nestled in a small, busy shopping area. You have an abundance of other establishments close by, including Whole Foods across the street and Starbucks on the adjacent corner. Let's jump right into this review. Acai Nation is located in a shopping center right on the corner or Gorham and San Vicente Blvd. You can enter the parking lot, no charge - exit the back alley way. Enter and exit is separte. Just something to note. What have I had? Acai Bowl - Classic - $12 if I recall accurately. Base: Organic pure acai w/ guarana. Toppings: Banana, strawberries, organic honey, signature almond vanilla granola. The bowls have changed size. Previously, the bowls were a larger size, and they are much smaller now. It's a bit disappointing, quality is still there so I continue to visit. Inflation is everywhere. This acai bowl is on the sweeter side with fresh strawberries and bananas as toppings. The granola is placed below the fruit. I prefer it this way because you don't get that initial crunch at first bite OR the granola falling off because the bowl is full when you sink in your spoon. Pros 1. Quality ingredients. The flower on top is a nice touch for presentation. 2. Clean establishment. 3. Courteous staff. 4. Fast service. 5. There are a variety of bowls/smoothies to select from. 6. Free parking. Cons 1. Size of bowl and the cost is high, but the quality (taste) is consistent. Catch 22. Acai Nation is nearby where I work - can't beat convenient and quality food. I'm a repeat customer. I recommend stopping by and getting something healthy and delicious to eat.

This is my favorite place to get açaí bowls they are always so good from here I've came a few times. There is outdoor seating and the inside of the shop is so cute. Service is good.

I ordered a bowl online to be delivered. The fruit seemed like it was previously frozen and the açaí was icy (not smooth). There was about a 3/4 of a cup of what seems to be Jiffy peanut butter in the middle. Açaí was overly sweet. It smelled faintly of marijuana when I opened it up. Would not recommend.

I've been coming to this location after Saturday morning workouts at UCLA, and the acai is amazing every time! The store is small and cute, with seating outside. I appreciated the free water and samples you can try in case you're new to acai. The service was simple and efficient. The acai bowl takes a little bit longer than I'm used to, but when you taste it, you see why! I always order the Amazonas Bowl #5. It has organic pure acai w/ guarana, topped with banana, blueberries, mango, organic chia seeds, organic goji berries, and signature almond vanilla granola. It's truly delicious, and the price isn't too bad either! I always get the smaller cup, and still have leftovers! Totally recommend :)

Cute spot, has outdoor seating. The service was very fast. I had a cinnamon roll smoothie, which was tasty but a bit watery--more like a banana milk. I still enjoyed it, but I wouldn't call it a smoothie.

I strolled upon this amazing place today, which is so delicious and fulfilling. The Acai bowls we had today had such an amazing and adequate intake of Healthy fats, protein and fibers. I am beyond stoked with words, I swear my belly has been super fulfilled, my palate was in a true paradise oasis and not to mention that I've had more sustained energy and mental clarity throughout the day. I love this place! Thank you Acai Nation and the amazing crew for taking good care of your local patrons. Rest assure I'll be coming back for more....!!!!

Great bowls every time I come. Get the large; the size worth the extra $4. They have 5 main bowls but you can add anything you want to it. The #5 with almond butter added is my favorite The dragon fruit smoothie had a heavy banana flavor. I love banana but if your not a fan get a different smoothie Pretty fast service

I had an excellent Protein shake from Mitzi and Rudy. I strongly recommend this place for its service and great bowls and shakes. Thank you.

I never liked Acai until I came here!! Now I'm absolutely obsessed with Acai and have to have it everyday! You can tell everything they use is fresh!

    Protein powder not mixed in.

Diabetes in a cup, so much sugar in the Açaí that it tastes like syrup. Protein powder was scooped in and never mixed in so you eat chunks of it. The negative reviews are right about the price being high and açaí being WAY TOO SWEET. Don't order delivery, the bag is not closed so delivery drivers can tamper with your food very easily.

Service was friendly and staff were helpful when I asked about adding a matcha cream top to the matcha latte. I ordered my matcha less sweet just in case my drink would be too sweet. The drink wasn't sweet at all which I didn't expect, but it wasn't a bad thing. I wouldn't make any adjustments next time. The matcha was astringent, bitter, and umami. I did taste some slight graininess, but nothing too bad. I think they prepare the matcha as a paste then add it to the top of the milk. I've never seen other places prepare their drinks like this before! Overall, it was a solid drink for an decent price.

The drinks and pastries have always made it an easy place for us to grab a treat, so I'm not writing this based on one random first impression. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing enough that I felt I needed to say something. When we came in, the trash cans were overflowing, and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. I understand that cafés can get very busy, especially in Little Tokyo, and I never expect a place to look perfect every second of the day. However, the dining area felt noticeably neglected. With two children, cleanliness is something I pay closer attention to, and it was uncomfortable trying to find a clean area for us to stand and sit. The overall atmosphere also felt disorganized. We waited at the register for help, but it took a while before anyone acknowledged us. A simple "I'll be right with you" would have made a big difference. I have had better experiences here in the past, which is why this visit stood out so much. I'm hoping this was simply a bad day, because Café Dulce has always been a place I was happy to visit with my family. I'm sharing this because I would genuinely like to see the cleanliness and customer service return to the standard I remember. Private Feedback for Management I did not feel comfortable putting the full details of this experience in a public review, but I believe management needs to be aware of what happened. While I was standing at the register waiting to order, the male employee working there was engaged in a conversation with another person and appeared to be openly gloating about drinking while on the job. Based on what I heard and observed, he also appeared to be impaired or intoxicated. He continued the conversation while ignoring me, even though I was standing directly in front of the register waiting to place an order. The tone of the conversation was not subtle or professional. It created a much darker and more uncomfortable atmosphere than what I would ever expect from a family-friendly café. I was there with my two children, and hearing someone behind the register casually talking about drinking while working was deeply concerning. Someone who appears intoxicated while operating a register and handling customers' money creates a terrible narrative for the business. It raises concerns about judgment, accuracy with transactions, food-service safety, and the overall professionalism of the workplace. Even if the employee was exaggerating or joking, it was still completely inappropriate to have that conversation openly in front of customers. What bothered me most was not only the conversation, but the fact that I was being ignored while it continued. I was waiting to spend money at the business, yet the employee seemed more interested in talking about drinking than acknowledging a customer. As a mother standing there with two children, the situation felt uncomfortable, disrespectful, and honestly a little disturbing. This is not my first time visiting Café Dulce, and I have never felt compelled to complain before. I understand that employees are human and that businesses have difficult days. However, the combination of overflowing trash cans, a dirty floor, being ignored at the register, and an employee appearing impaired while discussing drinking on the job crossed a line for me. I am sharing this privately because I believe management should have the opportunity to address it directly. I hope the situation is taken seriously, not only for the reputation of the café, but for the safety and comfort of the customers and employees.
