Stopped by ACE Banh Mi and it definitely lived up to the hype. The place was busy when we got there, which is always a good sign, but the line moved quickly. We ordered the Ace's iced coffee and ube foam coffee and both were really good. The coffee had a strong, smooth flavor and wasn't overly sweet, its like drinking a really good coffee ice cream. The banh mi sandwiches were solid. The bread had that perfect crispy outside and soft inside, and the fillings were packed with flavor. The pork belly was so crispy and the meats on the deluxe was so flavorful. The inside of the shop is clean and modern with plenty of seating. My new favorite spot in Chino. read more

First time trying out Ace Banh Mi. Went several days ago on a Tuesday. Hard to find a good banh mi spot in the area and Ace Banh Mi did not disappoint. The owner and staff were very friendly and attentive. Had a great experience. We asked for extra sauce, pate, and jalapeños and definitely they delivered unlike other banh mi shops where extra isn't extra. Every bite was flavorful dripping with sauce and pate. Vermicelli bowl was flavorful as well and the owner hooked it up with egg rolls. Definitely coming back. read more

Nice little spot, with not too many options on the menu. The reason is because the options they have on the menu are made to perfection. I had both the grilled pork and crispy belly bahn mi. They bread was so good. It wasn't dry like most places. The meat had lots of good flavor. You can see the bbq grill in the back where they grill the meat, I rarely see that. Last time I saw that was in Houston. My son ate his entire bahn mi, and he is not a sandwich fan at all. Give this place a try, you'll be very happy. read more

I don't understand why the carrots and cucumbers were cut so big. They didn't go well with the combination at all. It felt like I ordered a carrot salad because they're put so many of them.The meat was bland and very dry, and the fish sauce tasted watered down. That dish gets 1 star from me. The banh mi was a little better, but they used raw carrots instead of pickled ones, which just didn't work together, so I'd give that 3 stars. Omg! This place was so good - I didn't even have time to take a picture. Hubby and I literally swallowed the entire bahn mi! We ordered the viet coffee and bahn mi (one combo and one grilled chicken) - by far one of the best we've had! First time for the Trangs and definitely not the last! Place is new and super cute! Ace Banh Mi is definitely a spot worth coming back to. I ordered the salted cream Vietnamese coffee, and unlike other Vietnamese coffees I've had, this one wasn't overly bitter or too thick. It had the perfect balance--just the right kick to keep you energized without feeling jittery. It wakes you up, but you can still sleep later, which I really appreciated. I also tried the combination banh mi, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was packed with fillings--they're definitely not stingy with the ingredients. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. The drinks are really good too, so if you like Vietnamese coffee definitely get it here. Service is great and their workers are both English and viết speaking. I went here today for the soft opening, the staff was very attentive and friendly. I got a free ice cream, tote bag, and cooler. You can tell they go above and beyond for their customers. The ambiance was calming and very clean. As a student I think this is a great place to study and eat. I ordered the beef banh mi, it was very flavorful, the bread was very crisp and fresh. I tried the crispy pork belly banh mi; while the flavor was spot on, the pork was sliced a bit too thick, making it tough to bite, and the baguette felt slightly dry. Finally!! A legit banh mi place near me that isn't a sit down restaurant with only banh mi thit nuong. I was at first a little hesitant a skeptical because of the reviews but glad to say that the bread is not stale at all, my bread is very flaky and fluffy. Meat was a perfect portion, my crispy pork was sooo good. The crispy skin was crisping! Most places I go to usually give me soggy crispy pork. I also asked for extra butter and pate and they absolutely delivered perfectly. No skimping. I had flavor in all bite from the front to the end. My friend had the dat biet banh mi and he liked it but enjoyed the crispy pork better (just because it was that good). We tried the pate pastry as well and it was delicious. Flaky, buttery pastry with a juicy meatball inside. Also got the Salted Vietnamese coffee and coconut matcha! Foam on both were really good, I liked my coconut matcha more than the coffee, but only because the coffee tasted a LITTLE but watered down. Despite looking small on the outside, theres a decent amount of seating inside. Great for lunches after school or work! Solid place, very happy.
