    Ace's Deluxe Bahn Mi
    Andrew M.

Being across the street from my house I have really gotten to enjoy Ace Bahn Mi. The Ace Deluxe Bahn Mi is probably my favorite one. The mix of meats and flavors is so good! I've had the spring rolls a couple of times and they taste fresh and are also big but sometimes fall apart. The owners are really friendly and give that nice mom and pop/family owned feel.

I was told by one of my friends to come try this place out! Finally a good banh mi sandwich around the area! It isn't in a strip mall, you will see it off a corner, and you will need to park on the street or I believe they have a bit of parking in the back. The inside looks clean and the workers were real friendly. There is a touch screen where you can order yourself. I ordered the Ace Deluxe and ordered the crispy pork belly. I had to make sure to order pate inside the pork. The sandwiches are quite large, are really good! They are about $9 a sandwich at the time of this review, and they also sell drinks and vermicelli. Can't wait to go back ! Until next time!

I'd say this is one of the best banh mi spots in the area. I usually get my bamh mi fix in SGV or OC, but it's finally nice to have a solid option in Chino. Keep in mind the service is a bit slow as it took a while for them to make two banh mis. It's also a little pricier than what I'm used to, but fortunately the sandwich was satisfying. The baguette was crunchy on the outside while still soft inside. There was plenty of meat, and was well balanced with the pate/ sauce. My go-to is BBQ pork and it was good! I'm used to banh mis having more pickled veggies (carrots and daikon), and this spot goes lighter on those. But their cucumber added a nice crunch and freshness that made up for the other lack of veggies. Overall a solid place that I would come back to!

I'm sorry to be leaving this review :( I was excited to see a banh mi spot open up in Chino and really wanted to like it, unfortunately fell short. First off, the bread appeared cold and stale as if it were day old. Did not have the satisfying crisp factor you get from a fresh baked baguette. I also look forward to pickled carrots and daikon in my banh mi, however they did not taste very good. Hardly even had any daikon either. And the pate tasted odd to me as well. Sadly, I will not be returning.

Mainly street parking so it can be nuts. Cashierless so u order via the kiosk/tablet. Looks like they take lots of online orders. If you do, make sure u sign up on Snackpass for their rewards points. Their combo isn't bad. $13 for a Sammy/bowl + a drink. I got their crispy pork belly banh mi + lychee tea. Delish. Crispy skin with the soft meat and the garlic mayo/sauce and veggies. Definitely want to come back and try their vermicelli pork belly bowl.

FOOD: I ordered a matcha latte and Ace Banh Mi Sandwich (roughly $18 in total). The matcha latte came with oat milk and had little sweetness in it. I think it was a pretty good drink. For the Ace Sandwich, I had better expectations for the bread -- it was dry. Lots of loaded veggies and good portion protein. I think the bread can be better improved. As for the price, I personally think it's quite steep. I would definitely stop by again and try something different later in the future. SERVICE: Service was quick! It was slow when I went to order (mid-day). ATMOSPHERE: Very clean. I love the little aesthetic and color palette of the interior. There is limited seating. FYI - Parking is weird. Very limited street parking. If street parking is full you might want to park further out,

Nice to see a Vietnamese restaurant in Chino since there aren't many. I give the banh mi a 4/5, spring roll a 3/5, vermicelli 3/5 and the prices 2/5. The banh mi had a good amount of meat and flavor. The spring roll had plenty of noodles and fresh herbs but the meat tasted like beef jerky. Super dry! The vermicelli bowl is pretty small. Prices for these simple items are steep!

Excellent and fast service, everyone was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and really flavorful. Good portions for sharing like their vermicelli bowls. They come with veggies, protein, noodles and a side of sauce that was not too sweet but just enough flavor to bring it all together. The banh mi was really good and the bread wasn't too tough to chew. Their coffees are worth coming here for on their own! I love a good salty coffee and this was excellent. Not too sweet and not overly salty. Their egg coffee was good too. I can best describe it as tasting like the pudding they put at the bottom of boba drinks. Like a custard taste. Very fluffy, creamy and again not overly sweet. Definitely recommend!

Hidden gem! Love this new place. Staff were super nice and I got offered a free sample of bread. I got the strawberry matcha and it was really good. The Thai tea was also very good and not too sweet. I tried the #1 sandwich and really enjoyed it. Definitely my new fav spot in the neighborhood. Inside is very cute and lots of places to sit.

Came here on their soft opening on 3/7/2026. Was the first customer. The place is nice and clean inside. Very bright and warm atmosphere. The staffs were friendly and helpful. I got the Ace's Deluxe (Combination) Sandwich and the Ace's Vietnamese Ice Coffee. I also got their egg-rolls. All tasted so good. Glad to see a new Banh Mi place opened up near me. Will definitely come back again.

    10. Veggie Lemongrass Tofu
    Andy E.

I was so excited to try the veggie lemongrass banh mi since I don't eat meat, and I already want another one! The combination of the sweet, savory, and crunchy flavors are so satisfying, and it's exactly what I was craving. The tofu was flavorful from the lemongrass marinade, and the prices are very fair across the menu. Also, it was so welcoming as soon as I stepped in as I was greeted with their kind energy. I loved the cute, comfy seating and the convenience of dining in or taking it to go easily. Can't wait to come back here again and try more.

Finally made it in to try this place, and wow -- the crispy pork belly banh mi is an absolute standout! The bread is fantastic: perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft, fluffy interior. Fresh, crunchy veggies, and that insanely delicious crispy pork belly... get in my belly! Seriously, if you're on the fence, just come eat here already. You won't regret it.

The same waitress we've dealt with in the past continues to be extremely rude. She has gotten our order wrong before and tends to argue instead of resolving issues. There also seems to be a communication barrier, which wouldn't be a problem if there was at least some effort to be patient or respectful but there isn't. Tonight really crossed the line. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, which is still reasonable time to dine in. The waitress made direct eye contact with me when we walked in, yet never greeted us or acknowledged us. A man came in after us and was immediately welcomed and told to take a seat. Meanwhile, my son and I stood there waiting with no direction. Eventually, I had to ask where we could sit. The man at the register mentioned they close at 9 PM and asked if we wanted to dine in or do takeout. Since we still had time, we chose to eat there. We sat down and again, nothing. The waitress walked past us multiple times, even bringing condiments and service to the man who came in after us, completely ignoring us. At around 8:45 PM, she finally approached us. As I began placing my order, she cut me off to ask "for here or takeout," then suddenly changed it to "actually, you can only do takeout." This was confusing and frustrating, especially since the other customer was clearly still being served for dine-in. I went to the register to place and pay for my order, and I asked her why the same rule didn't apply to the man behind us. She said he was dining in. That didn't make sense, considering we arrived first. The situation turned into her arguing with me claiming she didn't see us earlier and even disputing who brought us water. On top of everything, I was left feeling severely embarrassed in front of other customers, especially with my child there to witness it. No parent should have to experience that kind of treatment while simply trying to have a meal. By 9 PM, the man who came after us was already being served his food while we were denied the same service. This experience felt not only disrespectful but also discriminatory. It's disappointing because I've tried to support this place multiple times, but the consistent poor treatment and lack of professionalism make it impossible to return. I won't be coming back.

I don't think I got much, in the way of service, but that's fine since I didn't really need anything. Napkins and sauces are on the table, and I was given a water refill once. The food itself, on this visit, was decent, but I think I've had better Com Bo Luc Lac (Filet Mignon & Rice) at some other pho places. Some of the meat chunks were stringy and had like tendon bits inside. I'm a big fan of tender pieces, but I'd say that maybe 10-15% of the meat in here wasn't the tender bites of filet mignon I expected. The flavor was solid, and I enjoyed that it felt like a balanced place. The large bowl of soup on the side was a huge plus for me. I usually get way less side soup at other places for the same dish. Overall, this specific experience was good. I think that the pho here is great, as I had pho the other two times I've been here and I think it's great. I'd strongly recommend the pho options, if it's your first time eating here.
