Ordered a half chicken half beef/lamb plate with falafel and fries. The falafel was super dry to the point of being inedible, and the fries needed at least some salt. Here's my experience with Aceituna Grill. Everything is amazing except the meat. That's really all there is to it. I usually get the Greek salad with Baba Ganoush and cauliflower and all are really fantastic. The hummus is amazing too. Here's the issue...the meat is extremely dry to a point where it is almost inedible. I've tried the chicken, the spicy chicken, and the lamb and all meats are dry every time. It is sort of unbelievable that that they serve it. I wonder if anyone at the restaurant has tried it or maybe they just don't care. As I said, everything else is amazing so if they could get it together with the meat, I would eat there absolutely every day of the week. If anyone at Aceituna is listening, please fix this problem. Update: Aceituna is an amazing restaurant and they listened to the review, made some changes, and now it is awesome. I changed my rating to 5 stars. Way to go Aceituna. read more

I don't like the service, we came for Chicken shawarma but they told us we're closing and that was half hour early before they close. I asked for beef Shawrma, and falafel then when I saw them making my sandwich he put me only two pieces of falafel on my sandwich which is nothing for 7 dollars, most of the falafel places they put 3 or 4 pieces. I told the guy, then he told me this how we do it ! He was a little rude. I will never come back, the prices are expensive. read more

This is a welcome addition to the seaport lunch scene. I typically order the spicy chicken over greek salad with spicy potatoes, cauliflower, or hummus. I tend to agree with other reviewers that the quality of the greek salad could be elevated a little (there have been times I've had a single piece of feta), but I also think you get good value for the price. And their pink sauce! Their pink sauce is SO, SO good. They should bottle and sell the pink sauce. Seriously. I'm a fan. Tips: their bags don't fit their food containers, so you have to be careful carrying it out if you don't work nearby. During winter in the seaport, I skip coming here if I forget my gloves because there isn't a great way to hold the bag. Their portions are a bit too much for one lunch, but not so much that you can reasonably split it up for another meal. read more

I LOVE this place. Ive been several times, tried bunch of things but my favorite is the falafel wrap. I was able to customize whatever I wanted. Hummus base, tabbouleh, pink pickled turnips, pickles, topped with fresh falafel drizzled with both spicy sauce and tahini: 2x toasted. Amazing! The falafel was warm and freshly made each time I've gotten it: the BEST in Boston. Tabbouleh was so fresh, crisp parsley, tomatoes, lemony dressing, but not too much. I like getting a side of hummus, too. It is so good. Tangy, creamy, very tasty. As authentic as it comes. So much tastier than store bought or when canned chickpeas are used (I asked how they make it). I also had fries with the pink sauce. Wow-pink sauce is really good! Will go back several times a week--the other options in the area just don't have the same consistency, but I could eat this every day. read more

Stumbled upon this place while walking around in search of a different place which we couldn't find. The party I was with were coming from Harpoon Brewery and were hangry and flustered by our search so we decided this place looked good. As the only vegan in the party I made the decision seeing that hummus was advertised on the window. It looked clean and well decorated on the inside. I like the counter / assembly line way that you order cause it allows you to customize exactly what you want in your meal. I was happy to get baba ghanoush as my side and some hummus with the salad I ordered. They drizzled tahini on top and gave me extra tomatoes. I was very satisfied it was exactly what I wanted and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Staff was nice and fast to get more falafel made for the other members of my party. They really enjoyed the shawarma, and we were all so full by the end. It didn't look like a lot of food at first but man was it and it kept our stomach's satisfied. I'm glad I discovered this place for a quick lunch stop. Wish it wasn't so out of the way in Seaport, maybe if they open one in Jamaica Plain or a closer neighborhood I would be thrilled. read more

When they started offering delivery service to JP duting the coronavirus, I was happy to be able to check them out. I'm so glad I did- the food that I have received is delicious, plentiful, and healthy. Not that usual for takeout (or delivery)! I have tried numerous meals and they have all been superb. I stopped in here after a visit to the Society for Arts and Crafts nearby. The place was relatively empty as it was a very rainy and stormy afternoon. The staff was very attentive and helpful as I couldn't decide what to get. I decided on the chicken schwarma with rice and spicy potatoes. The chicken was very good. I've eaten at the Kendall location before and this Seaport location is nothing short of a big success. To start, the quality of the food is excellent. I like the idea of me eating a hearty and gourmet meal in a fast casual setting. I've alway eaten at Aceituna for dinner and it's very filling (and I eat a lot). The tastiness and flavor of the food in incomparable to any Mediterranean restaurant I've ever eaten at. I also like that the menu is easy to understand and the options you can add to your meal are plentiful. I believe this location is pending their liquor license too (I enjoy having a beer with dinner from time-to-time so this will definitely make me want to go back). The staff is very nice and knowledgeable which makes the ordering process easier. To top it all off, it's in a fantastic location right in the heart of Seaport. If you're looking for a replacement for Pita Thyme (say, your office just moved from the FinDistrict to the Seaport, or maybe you switched jobs), this won't be that replacement and you should just pick a day to hike back to PT. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then forget I ever said anything and know that this place does a decent job on Mediterranean food. I didn't love the chicken the day I went - it was pretty dry, and coming from me, that's saying something (I love dry chicken, don't ask me why). Their play on spicy potatoes were a total miss for me - what I got was a mush of sweet potatoes that had been steaming for too long and didn't have good spice. I want to love this place and maybe in time I will. For now, it's a solid lunch option if I'm looking to spend a bit more money. $10-11 for a plate that I just like, but don't love, isn't gonna cut it on the reg for me. I've never not seen a line here, so try to come before the lunch rush or closer to 2pm unless you're comfortable waiting in line. It moves fast, so that's a positive. read more

You can taste the freshness of their meats and vegetables; not to mention that it's one of the few places where you can stuff yourself and not regret it an hour later. I work nearby and enjoy the food here. To cut the lines, the online ordering for pickup is awesome, but note that the quality of food will suffer. I've ordered 3 times, I think: sparse rice plate, small wrap missing 2/7 of the toppings I had asked for, and one time, their system didn't receive the order, so I had to wait. Thankfully this was after the lunch rush. The food was tasty, but not up to par with waiting in line. And a super downer to not get what I ordered. Falafel was spot on though and hummus not bad. Tabbouleh is very tart and fries are soggy though. I'll keep coming because it's tasty and convenient, but need to continually temper my expectations on the online ordering! read more

The quality at Aceituna has gone down exponentially in recent months. When it first opened, this was one of my go to restaurants in the area near my office. In my lunch today, the spicy chicken was basically raw and the difference between the spicy chicken and regular chicken was very significant. The man who served me put the better looking chicken in the man before me's lunch and then just went with the gross one for mine - unacceptable. The hummus is thin and nearly watery. Oh my goodness, the food from Aceituna Grill is AMAZING! We ordered a big, catered, office dinner and it quickly became everyone's favorite food option. Not only was the food delicious, Gina in catering was really helpful in figuring out how much to order, what was most popular, and boy was she right about everything. The food was delivered right on time, everyone I dealt with was super friendly, and I will 100% be ordering from here again (and going out to lunch myself too!) I particularly suggest trying the cauliflower, which disappeared almost instantaneously, and the falafel - yum! read more

Personally, I think both the food and service are lacking. The primary flavoring in every dish is salt. The sides aren't large enough to properly complement the main dish you get. So, for instance, if you get a rice plate, you end up with a giant pile of unflavored rice, and two tiny sides of greens. I'm a vegetarian so I've only ever gotten the falafel, but that's not great, either. I've been three times now hoping I was just ordering the wrong thing, but I've finally come to the conclusion that I should just go to the Indian place next door. read more

I've been looking forward to this place opening by my office for months, but it was quite a disappointment. I'm hoping I just ordered the wrong thing, or maybe they're just working out the kinks. Here's what I ordered: Greek salad with chicken - handful of shredded iceberg lettuce, and mostly peppers and tomatoes chopped up to huge kabob-size slices. My salad contained one cucumber slice, one onion, two pieces of feta, and zero olives. The peppers and onions were scooped out of a container where they were marinating in the oily dressing, and a lot of that oily dressing went into my dish. My food was swimming in about a half an inch of liquid at the bottom of the dish. The chicken was a little bit dry but edible, kind of wished I had tried the spicy chicken. Falafel - dry, not much flavor Baba ganoush - good, pretty hard to mess that up right? I will likely try it one more time, but I definitely would not get the Greek salad again. The portion for salad is kind of on the small side (well then again, I didn't eat half of it because it wasn't very good), but if you get the rice bowl it looked huge. They go in the same size containers. Overall, I'd describe this as the Subway of Mediterranean food. I prefer Verts or Zo downtown. read more

The only dairy item is the feta in the Greek salad, and the staff their even offered to make me a fresh Greek salad without feta if I wanted. My colleague and I are always looking for new lunch spots to try in Boston's financial district. We were excited to try Aceituna Grill today. I wish we hadn't. She got a salad with chicken and I got a rice plate with chicken. The salad had one tiny piece of feta and the portion was tiny. The meat was dry and flavorless. The worst part of all was the babaganoush. It actually tasted like a bottle of cleaning chemical was spilled into the batch. My colleague tried it to confirm I wasn't crazy and spat it out. She was actually so concerned that something poisonous was in there that she made me go up to the counter and complain (it had such a strong chemical taste). The woman in charge took the plate and when I told her the situation she said, "I don't know because I didn't make it." When you're the manager on duty, you take responsibility for the situation at hand, regardless of whether you are personally responsible. I am genuinely concerned that the babaganoush was not safe or edible and hope they tossed that batch. Needless to say, we will never, ever be back. read more

We had the distinct pleasure to have a late lunch here this weekend. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were very friendly and kind! I consider that to be a huge plus at restaurants these days as so many of them make me feel like they're doing me a favor by serving me. The atmosphere was really lovely and inviting with warm colors and bright light coming in from the beautiful windows and soft indoor lighting. I really appreciated the casual, very clean atmosphere and the way the staff made us feel as though we were more than welcome to stay as long as we liked!! That's hard to find these days!! My family and I have been going to Aceituna for years. It's the best Lebanese food is Boston- close to what we had growing up. I recently placed my first catering order. The process was super smooth and prompt. The delivery was within the timeframe they gave me, and the food was excellent as always, and still hot. If you are having a party, I recommend placing a catering order with them. I didn't ask for utensils since I planned on using my own serving dishes, but they provided everything, including labels for all the items and serving spoons. read more
