This place is Legit! It was my first time going to the trendy Barlow shopping center. I knew that Acre Pizza had just opened, so I made it a point to visit Acre and The Barlow. This is a small pizza shop... not a table service restaurant. You order at the counter as you would expect from most pizza shops. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious. The service and staff were warm and friendly. The only reason for my 4-star review instead of 5 Stars, is because the interior seating consists of four picnic style tables with long benches. There were no booths or individual tables for say, a party of 2 to sit together and have a more private conversation. You might end up sharing a table with another group. If community seating is your thing, great. But I prefer individual seating with more space. read more

Detroit style pizza! The sauce is perfectly seasoned on a fluffy cloud of thick pizza dough with the right amount of cheesy goodness and the slight crisp on the edges that gives a satisfying crunch. I don't know why, maybe it's the rectangular shape, but it's strangely nostalgic and reminds me of the elementary lunch pizza, but a million times more delicious. I am a sucker for the plain pepperoni Detroit style pizza and haven't wanted to try anything else because it's that good. You definitely have to try it. read more

Holy cow is this great pizza! I went back today for the second time and brought my husband and he also loved it. He devoured the farm pizza which was loaded with perfectly cooked broccoli and mushrooms, light on the cheese and perfect crust. I am addicted to the cheese pizza. The crust reminds me of the type we get in Rome. The staff is super friendly and the owner was there today. He gave us a taste of the soft serve salted caramel made from buffalo milk - wow was it delicious. Nice to have Acre Pizza in our area - probably the best pizza I have had outside of Italy. Had the worst deep-dish pizza of my life. The cheese was not melted and looked like a combination of Velveeta and American cheese that was so thick that even my three kids wouldn't eat it. This place has become our go-to pizza spot since moving to Sebastopol. The thin crust is divine, especially if you like a slightly chewier dough that bubbles up at the crust. It's hard to order anything other than the pepperoni, it's that good. The salads are solid and they do slices at lunch now too. We usually just call in our order and they are efficient at getting a warm pizza in your hands and out the door, but since they moved across the street the new location has lots of room indoors and outdoors. read more

After 40 minutes he came back and said this was not his order. They finally brought it to my attention that they had given him my order but they told me it's my responsibility to sort out with him directly and they would be willing to cook me a new meal because they didn't want to cook any more food in their kitchen was closing soon. The pizza was ok. I was hoping it would have a slightly thicker crust. Crust is very thin and floppy, without the yeasty flavor I normally dig in that style of pizza. Tried the puttanesca, because it had somewhat interesting toppings, but those toppings (specifically the anchovies, capers, and black olives) also turn the pizza into a salt bomb. Nothing special, but it gets the job done if you want a pizza. Seems a little pricey at $30 per pizza, though. read more

It sucked they ran out of paper plates, but you can improvise! My friends and I were at Golden State Brewery and ordered a pizza while we drank. They brought the pizza out to us right away! Wow this pizza is amazing. My husband and I stopped here while visiting Sebastopol. The other restaurants in the plaza weren't quite the mood, and I was hesitant to eat here because I didn't want the post-pizza stomachache from greasy food. I am SO glad we decided to try it anyway! The pizza is light which is a feat, because the slices are huge. Not greasy, delicious, and unforgettable pizza. I ordered the NY Number One which I hope isn't seasonal and is a menu staple because I already want to come back for it. Spring veggies and lemon slices on a pizza sounds blasphemous, but have you ever had a slice of pizza taste refreshing?? This is. The #1 is like everything you wished a salad would be, but better, because pizza. I don't even like parsley and it was delicious. So the wife agreed and we ordered just a plain cheese pizza as we didn't want something we couldn't take a few bites quickly and get back to the customers. The pizza was outstanding. While I've had better (I prefer a really thin neopolitan style), the pizza's dough was cooked well, slightly crispy, and they didn't drown the heck out of the pizza with too much pizza sauce or cheese. Everything blended well in the right proportions. Their ordering and texting system worked flawlessly. I was so glad they have this because I didn't want to sit around and not help the wife. So I ordered online, arrived when texted, paid the man, and got my pizza with all the plates and napkins I requested. Went here after a few brews at Crooked Goat. We started with the Grains Greens and Roots salad. The Detroit pizza is phenomenal. Tasty crust with the perfect crunch on the crust. We had the pesto chicken with a white sauce. OMG. So delicious. We've also ordered pizza from Acre to be delivered to Crooked Goat other times and it is perfect. Forgot order, no sense of urgency, assembly line pizza. Strongly suggest other pizza place in town or Forestville.

Took 50 minutes to get my sandwich, 50 minutes for a blt. I was in their building for almost an hour and did not see a single member of staff wash their hands (got food poisoning from this sandwich).
