I used to love this place! I would order breakfast tacos at least once a week via DoorDash. Unfortunately, after today I will never order food again or dine in. I ordered to breakfast tacos on corn tortillas with, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, spinach and hash brown casserole. When I opened up my tacos I noticed they were on flour tortillas and there was no spinach. Also, the hash brown casserole was awful. Way too many onions and they were not even cooked. I'm extremely disappointed! I could not enjoy my tacos because I have a gluten allergy! Adair kitchen needs to do better! Take time to read the tickets thoroughly and double check the order before sending it out! I complained to DoorDash about unsafe handing of food on Adair Kitchen's part and nothing was done! If you have a severe food allergy steer clear of this place. read more

Adair Kitchen on Buffalo Speedway is my favorite place to meet a friend or a group for breakfast, brunch, or lunch (because I can still order breakfast, served until 2pm!). The staff is friendly and helpful. The manager is visible, on the move, and visits with customers. Is one of the rare places where I think counter service really works! (It does transition to table service for dinner). Has a lovely range of menu options to suit your appetite and budget: can order a single or pair of breakfast tacos and a cup of coffee up to a big breakfast with delicious sides. Clean eating menu is a plus - everything tastes fresh and bright. Inside you will find an assortment of "ladies who lunch", business people on their laptops, retirees enjoying a meal with a book, and others enjoying meeting up with a friend or associate. This is also one of the rare Houston spots where eating outside actually adds to your experience! The strip center has been designed to feel like a European outdoor cafe. Adair added crisp yellow umbrellas for shade and big fans, but there is almost always a breeze along this curving expanse. My wife and I are part-time Houston residents again- especially after 2 years of the pandemic. So, we were looking for new places to eat close to our neighborhood. My niece told us about this place so we held a pre-Christmas dinner with my brother and his family. The previous occupant left an excellent opportunity for Adair Kitchen to improve the eatery. It's wide open, very airy, and a friendly place to eat. Our server was very attentive and since it was a late Wednesday evening when we went, she still paid a lot of attention to our party of 8! The food was delicious and had big servings. I would characterize their food offerings as comfort food and very delicious! I could not finish my pecan-crusted chicken dinner with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. As full as I was, dessert compelled me to write this review. Their bread pudding was out of this world delicious! We ordered 2 of them to pass around. I wish I had taken a picture but with 7 other people taking a bite, they disappeared quickly! My niece returned to the same place to celebrate her mom's birthday the next day. The service here was great! The food came out in a timely manner and the atmosphere was really nice on a Saturday morning. There is plenty of parking which is always a plus. I got the waffle which was good, nothing amazing about it. I also ordered the side of their hash brown casserole which is more creamy than the usual hash brown. The only reason this place is getting a 4 star is because my friend had ordered orange juice because she told that they are freshly squeezed. However, I'm not sure if we were there too early, but the orange juice tasted fermented and you can tell that it was not freshly squeezed. We talked to the person taking the order and they said they would refund our party for it (still waiting on that). Overall though, I was disappointed because I really love freshly squeezed orange juice. Hopefully next time they will have some. read more

Came back for those biscuits, and while they tasted good, they weren't next level like the last time. They probably didn't baste with butter while they were baking or immediately after removing from the oven. Because if this, the biscuit was dry and needed some jam or syrup. Also, the overcooked eggs issue remains. Not everyone likes brown eggs. This time, I ordered the bacon and egg sandwich, and some of the bacon was overcooked with some black burned spots. Service was very good, the young man at the register was very nice and helpful, the blonde young woman not so much. I tried the Tex-Mex Pecan coffee, and it is delicious! read more

What a miserable experience. We had to ask for the music to be turned down, it was blaring. We had to flag down the waiter for drinks after 15 minutes. After never seeing him again we got the "other" waitress to take our order, so 30 minutes into things we had ordered. Two servers for the whole restaurant. I finally got my burger, it was bleeding but I still ate it. Never got more water. The bill comes, $16 for the garlic bread suggested by waiter. Adair chain going down fast. After reading the response I called the number provided, got voicemail and am still waiting for a return call. As I stated Adair service has gone downhill. read more

The eggs in the breakfast taco was plenty and buttery. And the chicken biscuit had a nice cinnamon butter spread and great quality honey. The chicken was crispy and the biscuit was a little dense. I've been going to Skeeters my whole life, so was stoked to see what's basically a slightly upscaled version of it nearby. Everything on the menu sounded delicious - it was really hard to choose something! My salad ended up being really tasty. Chicken has the exact same mesquite taste that it does at Skeeters lol. I went yesterday with my girlfriend for lunch. We got the shrimp salad, the crispy chicken sandwich, avocado, toast, the Eden cocktail, and the lemon artichoke soup. The atmosphere was good. The restaurant looks nice. The lemon artichoke soup was amazing (i would only go back for the soup) and the crispy chicken sandwich was decent, but the fries that came with it were meh. The cocktail was delicious, however, it came very late- arriving about 5 minutes before we left. About midway through our meal, i asked our server about our drinks, and it still took 15 more minutes to arrive. Everything else was not satisfactory. This restaurant has a beautiful ambience. You do pay for this in the cost. The portions are reasonable (on the small side.) WARNING Do not get the pesto pasta it's tasteless even adding a bit of salt (which I NEVER do) didn't work.. it's like eating bland cream with sun-dried tomatoes. I'm really speechless, what a tasty lunch I had today a delicious glass of chardonnay on the side in peaceful Friday noon, it left my palate in the clouds... and the Roasted Club Sandwich with the accompaniment of French fries and the Crispy Brussel Sprouts on the side was delight!!. hands down for chef Brenda, she excelled with the preparation of my lunch I know she prepared it with love. First time at Adair Kitchen and I will be returning! I called ahead of time to see if some ladies and myself could pow-wow there for brunch together. The manager Kyle made sure we had a spot reserved, where we could comfortably sit together. I ordered at the register, and EVERYONE I interacted with behind the counter were absolutely amazing! Offering suggestions, going into detail about their awesome juice selections they had. I had the avocado toast, by far one of the best I've had. My daughter wanted chocolate chip pancakes, which weren't on the menu, BUT they did deliver my princess exactly what she wanted! Then, the service was quick! I got there at 10 AM, and they were fairly busy, I placed my order and it was out within 25 minutes!! I ordered for myself and my two children and our food came out together, still warm! This is going to seem picky, but I can't figure out how else to handle it. Telling one manager will just fall into a black hole. We eat the salads here frequently for lunch. Food is great. That's not the issue. AK needs to figure out how to deal with "extra dressing". The menu says it's 50 cents, the register charges 75 cents. Either price is way too much for a small cup of dressing. If there isn't enough dressing on the salad that is ordered, more should be provided for free. Today I ordered "extra dressing" and I guess the kitchen interpreted it as "dressing on the side" as there was none on the salad. So I paid 75 cents for something advertised to be 50 cents and it should have been free. It's not about the money, it's just dumb, put enough dressing in the salads, and provide more at no charge if needed. Take it off the menu as an option or at least charge what is priced on the menu. It shouldn't be that difficult. read more

I live super close to this location, so I was so excited to learn that they opened one in West U. I usually go to the San Felipe location and loved it! I order Togo from this location and when I got home (less than 10 minutes away), I was so disappointed. I ordered the pesto salmon plate and the pesto was straight liquid. I also had a steak plate and asked for medium rare and it was more like rare. I also ordered a kids chicken strip meal and the fries were cold as if it was sitting for a while.
