I'm aware of dealer service pricing, so I asked AI for service shops with reputations for honesty and integrity, and this place was one of the recommended shops. I made an appointment, which was very easy and quick, and Carlos took it in. He recommended reprogramming it, not replacing, got the problem corrected for about $800. Everything is now running smoothly. In addition he pointed out an issue with my battery connection, and I was able to take my car back to the quick oil change place I use and get them to fix it for free.
