We were advised to come back on Thursday for them. The ribs looked so tasty I had to visit the next day and it was worth the wait. The ribs were very moist, smoky and very tasty. The slaw was prepared different from what I'm used to but I couldn't stop eating it. They supplied a mild bbq sauce for the ribs but you really don't need sauce on the ribs at all even though the sauce is flavorful. I have to admit the baked potatoes were unique and tasty as well. Bottom line I'll be returning as I am now a fan. You'll be a fan too should you also visit White Dog.

This may be the worst breakfast ever. Today I went to Addie's with my girlfriend for breakfast. We had heard the food was good, not my experience. Lets start with how this experience began. the waitress came over asked if we wanted coffee, we said yes, another waitress came and took our order, I ordered the hillbilly benedict, Fresh baked biscuit, sausage patty and topped with gravy "remember this description". You would think you could not mess this up, WRONG. Lets get back to the coffee for a minute, here she comes to pour the coffee, she leaves the cup on the table and begins to pour the coffee, she dumps it into the cup, it splashes out on the table and she says opps, I poured it too fast then off she goes to pour coffee at other tables, you would think she would wipe it up but no. she comes back with breakfast sets it down asks if she can get us anything else, I ask if I can get something to clean up the coffee, she says sure and leaves comes back and picks up my cup, wipes up the spill, wipes off my cup with same rag goes to set my cup down spills again sets the cup in the newly spilled coffee and off she goes, what can't clean this spill up, whatever, used my napkin cleaned it myself. now the breakfast, the biscuit was dry and very dense, the gravy did not move, solid, the gravy struck to your teeth and to the inside of your mouth, when you picked up just some gravy on your fork and tilted it the gravy stuck to the fork and would not fall off, it would be better used to spackle your walls. it was awful. when she finally came back I told her how bad it was, her response was " wow, we usually make the biscuits on Mondays, well this is Monday I say and that means that this biscuit is over a week old, also microwaved to heat it up I was afraid to ask when the gravy was made. The entire restaurant was full of drunk kids, which I understand is not their fault necessarily. However, one girl did have to get carried out. She appeared to be fully passed out drunk. This was at 1:00 pm. Our service was pretty bad. I had to walk over and get ketchup from the server station after I had asked for it and she said " oh, thanks. I've been looking for that." Sure... The worst part was definitely the food though. Everyone in the restaurant had already been served so the cooks weren't busy. The eggs benedict had one deli sliced piece of ham on it, a fried egg, and sauce that was more like a cheese sauce than a hollandaise. My girlfriend got the French Toast #2 that includes eggs. They forgot the eggs. It wasn't like she ordered them extra. The French toast was soggy and cold. Atmosphere-0 Service-5 Food-0 There is a zero percent chance we will be back and I will be telling everyone I know in Boise how bad it is. I truly hope they go out of business so that a restaurant that isn't a bogus operation takes their place. read more

If you like long wait times, poor service, and food that is not worth the price then this may be the spot for you. Let me add that this is the first review I have ever written, and that I downloaded this app and made an account purely because I was so unhappy with my experience at Addies. I was led astray by the positive reviews from individuals that had an experience very different from mine, and I felt it necessary to warn others to choose a different restaurant. After the poor service and lack of care while waiting for our food, the server brought the wrong order and did not care when I informed her it was incorrect. She seemed annoyed when I asked about getting it remade. At that point I was so hungry from the long wait that I decided to just eat what was served...my mistake. The pancakes tasted like grease and now I am sitting in a car with a stomach ache and $30 less in my bank account because I chose to go here. I went for breakfast this morning at 9:00AM. The hostess was nice and professional and seated me up at the bar. There was this weird rock'n roll wannabe guy dressed in all black including black hat and sunglasses (indoors) behind the bar listening to Guns n'Roses loud on his bluetooth speakers. He's jamming out to the music and I asked him to please turn the volume down. He's immediately offended but complied. I order from a very nice young lady. Food arrives and then same weird rock'n roll wannabe guy begins to verbally confront and redress one of the employees right in front of me for some unknown transgression. It's uncomfortable and inappropriate. Employee reprimands do not take place in front of the customers. Food is good but I eat it quickly as I can in order to leave as weird rock n' roll wannabe jams out behind the bar to some lame Bon Jovi song from 20yrs ago. I actually downloaded Yelp to leave this review because in these hard times, I don't want anyway wasting their hard earned money on this place. We were there for an hour to have our glasses refilled once. The giant plate of grease (or cat food I haven't decided what I just ate) took an ungodly amount of time to come out. the servers couldn't have possibly cared less when the order itself was wrong. The fact that this place has 4/5 stars on Google makes me lose faith in humanity. 1 star makes it sound better than it was because I actually feel sick right now and I would have done myself better had I eaten whatever back of the fridge leftovers I forgot was in there. If you respect yourself, drive past the "restaurant" and just get a McMuffin or something. Came here thinking it would be a great home cooking type of place. Honestly it was the worst Chicken Fried Steak I've ever had and if a place has CFS, that's all I ever order. Most of the staff including cooks didn't speak english. Ordered the chicken fried steak with extra crispy hashbrowns and received a greasy & tough CFS with lightly brown hashbrowns that were like mashed potatoes on the inside. Barely touched my meal and all that the manager took off was $4 instead of taking the meal off. They did offer to cook me up some new hashbrowns but I figured if they couldnt get something that simple right the first time, it wouldnt happen the 2nd time. read more

Which would be okay, I guess, if the energy of the restaurant matched it-- you know, modern architecture, crisp lines, sleek furniture and color design-- think Snooze in Scottsdale, Az which is basically a breakfast night club. But alas, Joe Momma's is beloved because of the misty mountain feel. The upscale Cracker Barrel vibe. The charming, rustic beauty. And the abrasive, bad pop music ruins the whole thing. It's is truly so freaking weird! Maybe they could keep the Pop for the lunch rush, but PLEASE Joe Momma's, for the love of Frodo, leave breakfast alone and come up with a playlist that matches your beloved establishment!!

Plenty on the lunch menu, including burgers, salads and sandwiches. They also have some Italian fare that I will come back to try. Nice decor with tables and booths. The squeeze and I shared a pastrami on rye with fries and we also added a side salad. The salad was pretty basic, just like most side salads. The pastrami had some great flavor and there was a decent amount. The bread was fresh, grilled and there were plelty of toppings on it. Decent fries, fluffy on the inside and a light crunch. There was plenty of food for two people. They did bring an extra plate for no charge, always nice to see. If paying with cash, you get 4% off the tab. The meal was less than $19 with the discount. The servers were great.

Tonight we went to Bottega Toscana Authentic Italian restaurant in Nampa where they served a fixed…read moremenu. The owners are from Sicily and the service was top notch! We were supposed to get a three course meal but ended up getting a four course meal that included Caprese salad, green salad, lasagna, and chocolate salami with a welcome drink and bread all for $35. I also order Tempranillo red wine that the waitress recommended for $3.50. I even grabbed a bag of Italian coffee for $12. Everything was amazing! I can't wait to return.

Used to eat here as a kid when it was under different management and called Eddies and loved it…read moreback then but got to say, came for breakfast on my birthday (to re-awaken childhood nostalgia) and was not disappointed! We got one of each. The fruit was really fresh and firm, the hash browns were nice and crispy. Coffee was good. Prices are possibly the lowest around, certainly for a Boise coffee shop. Cute retro decor fits the chrome diner exterior. This is a place for returning again and again.

I split it with the Mr and he said tasted a little bit like dirt (you know, that beet earthiness lol). But I thought pretty tasty. On the pricey side but filled with goodness so worth it. Next had the breakfast sandwich with plenty of creamy avocado...pretty good addition! It sounds like a good deal that I got all that (except for the bacon), but there wasn't one thing that was good. The over easy eggs were not over easy, the potatoes tasted like grease and some were not cooked. The fruit was sour and some pieces were hard. I asked for bacon and I tried to eat it but it was so shiny and greasy I couldn't stomach it. I ended up eating the eggs and the piece of toast. Not worth, the $40+ we spent.

I came here for the first time today with my wife. I had been to the Eagle and South Meridian…read morelocations in the past. This Griddle is located at McMillan and 10 Mile, in the same shopping center as The Broken Yolk. Tucked in the corner, it has lots of windows, providing a nice view of trees and grass from the inside. There is also an outdoor patio that looked inviting. The inside is much the same as the other locations. High ceiling, a mixture of booths around the perimeter and tables on the main floor. There is counter seating as well. I'm not sure about the other locations, but this Griddle has the sound dampener squares in the ceiling that, in my opinion, probably keep the noise level down and make it easier to talk. This morning, Thursday, it was seat yourself. We chose a booth toward the back. Our server, Valeria, was excellent. She kept our water glasses filled and a warm up of my coffee before it got below 3/4. She was nice and attentive. A great server. My wife had eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, and toast. I had the Veggie Lovers omelet, hashbrowns, and toast. My wife enjoyed her entree, and I tried the maple sausage and it was tasty. We both ordered our hashbrowns crispy, and the top was nice and brown. My omelet was just OK for me. a few artichoke hearts on top, with spinach, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes inside. The onions were chopped into fairly large chunks, which I don't really care for. I felt it lacked flavor, despite me salting it, twice, and putting salsa on top (not spicy). They give you one piece of toast, which I actually like, because I don't need to eat too much bread. I don't think I'd order that omelet again. All in all, my first visit to this Griddle was very nice and we will certainly be back.
